"Hey". David said as he walked into the room and met Joanna seated in front of the mirror applying makeup on her face. She was putting on one of his many shirts. It was the only clothes she could find apart from the lingerie Charlotte packed. She ignored him even when their eyes met through the glass.
David folded his arms and watched her. She was beautiful. Why does she even need makeup? He could never understand women. Anabelle as little as she was before her death was obsessed with it. Maybe it was in their DNA, he never could tell.
"Don't you have anything else to do than stare at me?" Joanna's voice brought him back. Their eyes met and she averted them. She was trying to put on a necklace but it was proving difficult.
"Let me help you with that". David said and strolled to her.
