Like a fierce storm, Kristine and Johan dashed through the streets of the night city and reached the bridge.
"C-captain?" Herminio, guarding the bridge, widened his eyes in surprise at Kristine's sudden appearance.
"Anyone suspicious? Did someone come here?"
Why did that person bring them close to the bridge and only then kill them?
Was it to make a rumor about the murderer of the fog and take people away from the suspicion that something even more sinister was going on in the background? Well maybe, but that couldn't be all of it.
A person with that many plans had heavy shoulders, and the gaze of the gods on such ones were not light. No matter how they tried to run, they would be weighed down by their mind and their hearts.
Kristine had seen far too much of it to doubt it.
