"Ahhhhh, Evie, you're so mean!"
As Evie and Izuku walked through the neighborhood, Evie started taking Izuku's cap off his head and putting it on her own head.
"I'm just teasing." Evie sucked on her lollipop. "You're completely fine."
Izuku Midoryia and Evie Uzukami have been best friends since kindergarten. Evie, being the strongest in school, and Izuku, being the smartest.
"Hey, you damned nerds!" A boy with spiky blond hair yelled. "Where the hell are you going?!"
Katsuki Bakugo, their frenemy since childhood. He started off with teasing them and quickly elevated to bullying. Soon enough, Evie's quirks developed and he no longer had as much fun bullying his rivals, since Evie protected Izuku. Kastuki had realized that she was passing him up. In his own head, he wanted to surpass even All Might and become the No. 1 Hero.
As a result, they started training together. Evie would always turn it into a competition, and of course, Katsuki agreed right away. They soon became friends, so long as Katsuki could fight and compete against them. Their quirks started growing everyday since they started having contests. Izuku would right down notes of their quirks, covering their weakness and strengths.
Izuku was quirkless. Meaning he didn't have a quirk of any sort. Sometimes Evie would tease him, saying his quirk was studying heroes.
Evie's quirk was Whip. She's able to grab anything with the blue rope-like material she produces from her body.
And last but not least, Katsuki's quirk. His quirk is called Explosion. His palms secrete a nitroglycerin-like substance when he sweats.
"You didn't wait at the entrance like I told you?!" Bakugo continued raging.
"But you're so loud to walk home with. It's kind of annoying," Evie mentioned.
Bakugo growled as they continued walking home.
"Can you believe that we could apply for UA?" Evie said cheerfully. "The teachers said that once we choose our official choice for High School, the applications will start in just two months."
"Evie, they said two months after our graduation." Izuku corrected.
"Ahh, what's the difference, Broccoli?" Kacchan demanded.
"Actually, there is a difference between now and then."
"Mm hmm. Yeah, sure, Izuku."
"Shut up, Purple Hair!"
Evie jumped onto Katsuki's back and made him piggyback her.
"Get the hell off me, Deku!" Katsuki yelled.
"That's your nickname for Izuku. Pick a different nickname for me."
"Tch,"
When they came to a certain road, the three split way and headed to their own homes.
Evie's mom was the talkative type. She never stops asking questions. She always rambles on further than needed.
"Hi, honey," Evie's mom, Ima, welcomed. "Did you pay for you're lunch this time? How's Izuku and Katsuki? And what about Mitsuki and Inko?"
Before she could continue, Evie had disappeared to her room. "Sorry, mom. Homework," and Evie slammed her door.
Evie's mom shrugged and went into the kitchen to cook.
"'How's Katsuki, Honey?" Evie said, mockingly. "Does she ever think about how I'M doing? Of course, not. I'm her daughter. She already knows. Stupid."
(Evie POV)
Ever since dad died from hero work, mom had become either socially awkward or talked way too much.
There was a terrible fire on that day, and dad, as a hero, had to go through the fire to rescue some strangers. The house exploded. Both dad and the people inside died.
From that point on, mom has never asked me about how I felt after coming home or even if I was doing my homework. She just cooked, cleaned the house, shopped for groceries and watched TV. That's was her exact schedule. She never had any special occasions planned unless they were with Izuku or Katsuki.
"Well, I already applied for UA. Wouldn't be surprised if the teacher spouted out our schools during class."
