CHAPTER 24
ALEXA'S POV
I finally headed out to go to work so I prepared everything I'll need since it was a night shift, low-key annoyed I didn't get any sleep because now I'll struggle all night.
I left the apartment and saw Curtis's, lively and wonderful. She was still there, oh well. I came out to the road and flagged down a taxi headed there. It was a really cool journey because I conversed properly with my driver, he was funny and really sweet. He almost didn't take money from me for the ride but I had to throw it in and run away, it was crazy. Coming down and entering the restaurant made me remember my problems all over again.
Carol, that wrench!
A new sense of will came over me, I was determined to make her lose her job today. I met Maddy at the counter and she was a little grumpy.
"Hey, Alexa. You're here early"
"Yeah, I just decided to come on time since I had nothing doing"
