Kento's men formed a ring around the apparition, surrounding it from all sides. Standing closely behind them were the specialist, ready to attack at any moment.
Kento, from the peak of the mountain where he watched the scene, raised his hand. An odd silence fell upon everyone, putting them on edge. The apparition moved its head and saw the row of men pointing strange weapons at it.
The apparition was comparable to a peak master at the creation stage of spirit manipulation. With its violet eyes, it could see the powerful aura being emitted by the objects carried by the men.
The apparition let out a loud growl, and immediately Kento dropped his arm. In an instant, beams of various elements rained down on the apparition - lightning, hailstorms, and meteorites.
Since the environment they were in had enough essence, they were able to cast an almost infinite amount of skills. They used their artifacts to cast all sorts of high-level skills.
The specialists weren't idle either; they used high-level techniques cast various skills. By balancing their spiritual energy with the abundance of essence available in the area, they were able to achieve a new form of energy which they used to create skills and bind the apparition.
Kento watched as his men spammed attacks and continued to bombard the apparition. The countless and near-endless skills of Kento's men and the specialists created a cluster of smoke and dust.
The attacks finally came to an end, and the smoke finally died down. As the smoke cleared, the men could see a small glint of light reflecting the moon's color.
The dust finally settled, and what the men saw shocked them - the apparition was unscathed. Apart from a small chip on its armor and some small cuts here and there, none of the attacks had cut the apparition.
The raging violet eyes of the apparition gleamed, and a terrible screech echoed throughout the entire terrain.
Suddenly, the earth started shaking, and everyone became extremely terrified and started moving backward. The earth shattered, erupting into a cluster of land and the sand swirled like a whirlwind, obscuring the plain sight of the land and massive earth cluster. From within emerged creatures of horror - more apparitions.
Deformed species of various beasts rained down upon the earth. They came in all shapes and sizes, in countless forms - from giant spiders to dragon snakes.
The apparition wasted no time in causing havoc and started the massacre. Blood filled the entire zone, and muffled screams rang out as everyone started running for their lives.
Kento couldn't believe his eyes, gritted his teeth, and jumped into the battlefield. Many of Kento's men tried to fight back, but their artifacts had worn out from the excess essence they had spent earlier.
Most of the specialist techniques they used were inefficient against the apparitions they faced, and even though they were able to attack, it would be futile.
