CHAPTER 16: SHOPPING
After some time, Iris left the hospital.
Then she walked towards the bank, she wanted to add her money into a card so it would be easier to use it.
The banker gave her a transparent card.
There were different types of cards in country X to distinguish people-
• Blue card – a regular card
• Green card – 10,000$+ (10 thousand)
• Orange card – 1,000,000$+(1 million)
• Transparent card – 100,000,000$+(100 million)
• Golden card – 1,000,000,000$+(1 billion)
• Golden card with black edges – 100,000,000,000$+(100 billion)
There was another card that had an unlimited balance. Ordinary people did not know about it. It was a Black card.
The Black card not only represented money rather it represented power. The owners of the Black card were never simple.
There were only 5 Black cards in the whole world.
She had one, and Cari also had one. A friend of hers also had one. As for the other two, she wasn't sure, she did not really see into it.
After getting her card Iris walked towards the largest mall in the city.
She wanted to buy some clothes and a laptop.
The previous owner mostly had old clothes whose colour had started to fade.
First, she went to the clothes store where she bought a few clothes that were in style. Even though she did not like shopping that much, that did not mean she did not have taste or self-prioritization. She liked using the best things.
It wasn't to show off rather it was to indulge and pamper herself. She could not care for herself when she was with the Whatson's, so whenever she went out, she would use the best products to make up for it.
When she went to pay and gave a transparent card the worker was undoubtedly more respectful and cautious.
This was how the world was, people respected and admired the rich and disrespected the poor.
After buying the necessary clothes she went to an electronic shop.
There were many people there every person would have a worker assigned to them so that they could choose easily.
A 30-year-old woman came to Iris.
She saw Iris, and scrutinized her up and down, seeing that Iris was not wearing any expensive clothes she thought of her (Iris) as a poor person.
She arrogantly said, "What do you want?"
Iris ignored the woman and walked towards the aisle where laptops were displayed. There were many different laptops.
Iris wanted to buy a laptop so that she could use it as a confidential device where she would contact people from her past life while using her phone for daily business. So, she needed a laptop with good security and large data so that she could install more protective software.
The laptop should also work fluently as she would hack different devices using it. After Iris found a suitable laptop, she wanted to inspect its quality however as soon as Iris was about to touch it, the middle-aged woman from before stopped her. "This is a very expensive laptop, its price is 20,000$, if you cannot afford it, don't touch it. What would happen if you broke it?"
Iris looked coldly at the middle-aged woman. What she hated the most was troublesome people, she did not like getting into trouble, and she felt that it was a waste of her time.
After all, she always knew the outcome of these types of people, even if she did not finish them, one day or another they would finish themselves with their own arrogance.
She walked towards the billing section with the middle-aged woman behind her telling her to stop.
"Pack the laptop in aisle 4, 3rd row, 2nd column."
The worker at the billing section looked up and politely smiled before telling the page boy beside him to go and bring the needed item.
The worker then politely said "Ma'am that would be 20,000$, tax included"
Iris fished the card she just got from the bank and put it on the desk.
The middle-aged woman that was watching all of this had her eyes almost popped out. The card Iris handed was a transparent card, she knew what that meant. How could she have known that a girl that was poorly dressed would have this much money?
The girl she thought was a rat turned out to be a big fat sheep. She could only silently pray that the girl before her did not hold a grudge against her.
After buying the laptop Iris went back home.
She took her keys out and opened the door.
After that, she went inside her room to put the things down.
As soon as she opened the door she was greeted by the face of her brother.
"You finally remembered that you have a home."
"Brother" Iris sheepishly smiled.
"What were you doing all day lo-"
Before Aaron could finish his sentence, his eyes fell upon her arm.
"What's this?" He pointed.
