Chapter 5 - Chapter 4

Clyde arrived back home It had been three days since the pups were left alone. He reached his home at 2 in the morning. He huffed and shook his fur abruptly. Thanks for coming, everyone have a good couple days rest! He mind linked everyone. He started for his room. His mate had been waiting for him. He turned back into a human at the main entryway. Rydian smiled. Lyle was finally starting to grow and understand the meaning of leadership.

He opened the door and he laid his eyes on his mate. His favorite human, Delila and her wolf Sparrow. "Hi Welcome home, Did the young ones start learning?" She asked with a big grin. Her grin had him mesmerized for a moment as he sucked in her scent. "You look and smell as amazing as always." His comment made Delila blush a bit. "Oh you, Don't avoid my questions." She chuckled.

Rydian closed the door "You know we're not allowed to talk about that right now. It's the pack law." He chuffed lazily. "The next generation can't know what goes on beyond the family unit. Anyone who talks about it is fined for a first offense, Imprisoned for a second, and killed on the third." The enemy could attack any time, You know how cruel some of the counsel could be. They lined the wallets more than paid for aid." No one can know what we do on our territory. The truth that his son must face to become a true leader. He has to face the problem we are leaving behind. Clyde sighed, No matter what it meant.

Several states away, There was a massive facility in the middle of the woods. It was a metal and black structure that reached 4 stories high and 3 more underground. Money was clearly no object for the facility. It was the United States Hunter sector. Here they took hybrid kids and warped them, making them stronger than any normal human. Made into who they wanted from a young age.

Inside the facility there was cell after cell. Inside one of these cells stood a young man about fourteen years of age. He was a unique child born from the human dragon treaty. He was raised as a weapon all his life. He wasn't treated well either. Suffering physical and emotional abuse. He was also a patient at this massive facility. The boy's name was 136897 though he often just went by Thirteen, Thing, and It.

He couldn't speak. Never learned to read or write. His only purpose was to fight and kill what the humans didn't want to lose their life too. He was never even allowed to see the sun. Only raised as a lab rat. He was trained and tortured to endure any pain. He knew from the get go his purpose. Though he knew very few human words he understood He was made to eradicate the wolven population. He was only a prototype if he died it would be meaningless. He was one of the first waves of man made human hybrids. They had others in this facility. But Thirteen was different from them so he wasn't allowed to interact. They ingrained that into him. It went so deep they trained him to endure electricity, fire, silence, and darkness. He suffered everyday since he was born. He knew no other life outside this facility. No other except…

Thirteen shuddered as the quiet in the halls was suddenly interrupted with a methodic and uninterrupted stride of heavy sole boots hitting the linoleum. He knew it was his turn. This had been going on since they caught a little alpha rogue from north connecticut three weeks ago. Everyday like clock work they wanted the two to fight. It was like they were leading up to something but the fights were getting worse and worse.

"136897 Get up, it's time to go to the ring." A gruff and loud voice came from the closed door before a heavy fist was slammed on his door. He shuddered to think about what was to happen today if he lost to that wolf again.

His door opened a short time later as a few men entered. The gruff voice he heard from earlier spoke to him directly this time. "Get up 136897, We have to get you ready." A flash of rage etched in thirteen's eyes but he quickly hid it. Shifting from foot to foot as he stood there silently waiting for orders. The gruff man slowly stepped forward. Pulling out a collar and handcuffs. "Arms out thirteen." He grumbled softly. Thirteen did as he was told and followed every order without hesitation.

This being everything he knew. It came easy to him. All he'd ever seen was white walls until he caught his first sight of the majestic creature the humans wanted him to hurt. He was constantly forced into a rage state where he would lose his reason. Though they only had to order it they found the rage state offered more effective means.

As they got to the end of the hall just before the arena doors he was put in a doctors lab. The human he had known since being brought to this hospital spoke to him. He knew her as Helga. "How's my little patient today? Silent as always?" She asked knowing He wouldn't answer. "Please give me your right arm… I'm going to give you a heavier dose then we normally do now that you're sixteen your body should handle it." She spoke to the silent boy who only cringed when the needle pierced his skin. There you're all set now, todays the day. You got this my boy." She chimed before quickly ushering him out the door. From there everything moved quickly.

Thirteen started to shudder and growl at any sudden moves. His adrenaline spiked and fear sensor was now going crazy. As his hands were undid and the collar turned on. After which he was thrown in the ring and the wolf chain was released. Thirteen's body began to shudder, his vision spiking then triangulating the only living thing before him. He was so angry. He needed to kill the relief that would only come if blood was drawn.

The rogue was on high alert. He had been brought to this facility a month or so ago. He needed to escape; they kept pitting him against a monster. That thing was trying to kill him and was clearly an empty shell. The only thing inside that young boy is hate. He wouldn't be able to keep fighting off its advances. "What is that monster…" He mumbled softly. If tomorrow was like everyday he would have to wait for the chain to come off. Maybe I can get that monster to help me escape. If I can get him to throw me through one of those windows. The thought made him smile.

When the next day came, The guards came and got him armed. He had gone back into wolf form because he needed to make sure that thing didn't see his human side. Not yet anyways. He was brought into the arena with an open sky view. They had a massive steel net over it preventing a clear view. If i can escape I can seek the council maybe they can stop this. They have to know the humans are raising a monster. I don't know if anything can stop that thing.

He sighed as he was attached to the wall and the humans hustled out of the area. Upon them leaving the monster entered, He looked like he was in pain every time he saw the monster but soon would come the blind rage. Whatever this thing is, I need to escape alive. The werewolves must know.

As soon as the rage hit the rogues chain was released. Allowing him to fight back against this beast. He leaped over its head. Using its head as a jump. He knocked The monster over causing it to growl and huff. He was strong but if he kept it from getting too mad while antagonizing it, It might throw me.

He did the jump again from behind This time using his body to topple the monster. But as soon as his paws landed his front foot was grabbed. The action caused fear to course through him as the monster spun him around. He did it and got the monster to launch him at the window.

All hell broke loose with the shattering of the window. His massive frame splintered the glass Before abruptly getting up and bolting. He started ripping the throats out of anyone in his path. He didn't know where the exit was but anything was better than facing that monster.

Thirteen shifted his body wildly trying to keep up with the wolf. He growled and snapped at it. He was getting annoyed at all the using his head as a bounce pad. He reached back, predicting the next jump. With a bit of luck he nabbed him. Snatching his front foot. With this he started spinning. Launching the wolf across the stadium and straight through the bullet proof glass.

However the leverage also caused Thirteen to continue to spin a bit making him dizzy. The chaos of the rage wore off a bit and he had a clear head. No first blood? Can hear screaming… Must help humans. All I know is humans. He thought, getting up on unsteady legs. He wobbly made his way through the glass causing his collar to zap him. He paused a moment and peeked both ways all he saw was the carnage in the wolf's wake. He whimpered softly. Before a flash overtook him. I could leave… They will be busy. This might be your only chance…

He whimpered softly. He reached up to the collar. I have to get away. I can see more than this bland place. I just know there's something out there. I've seen it on those little books and puzzles they used to give me. I never could learn the language though. My vocal cords wouldn't allow it. From what I understood at the time because I resemble a dragon from my neck down my vocal cords could have deformed. They were not sure and eventually gave up on teaching me that. I didn't need a voice to speak anyways. Plus the no talking came with a powerful and fiery power up. After they learned that talking became a lost memory. He started off after the wolf. But paused when he saw a window outside.

You will be fine. You are strong, they are only holding you back. Can show them I am not just a husk. Just come back if you can't do it. He shook his head, taking in a sharp breath. Doing for the first time what the scientists wanted, channeling the rage. His long powerful and slender claws ripped the window from the wall. In the mass hysteria he heard he also heard something new, It was the sound of something that flies. They were so loud and the sound resonated with me. So much it was amazing. I needed to see it all before I come back.

With that thought he didn't even think of the ramifications. He ripped off his collar and sprinted away. He was free and that's all he cared about. He would head everywhere. He was so excited. As he ran up a tree using his tail to reach the higher branches.
