Sarah hugged Hannah for what felt like forever. She missed her so much; she knew that she was missing her, but she never realised just how much she had missed her until she saw her again.
"I hope you're well, Sarah," said mrs smith.
"I'm OK, thank you," Sarah said.
Sarah let go of Hannah. "Are you OK, Hannah?" Sarah asked.
"I'm fine apart from a broken arm." "Everything else is fine; it should heal in a few weeks, then I'll be back to normal." Hannah told Sarah
"I'm excited to go to UNI and to be able to get away from all this, but I feel bad because Megan and Olivia will not be joining us like they were meant to," Sarah said.
"There's no need to feel bad, Sarah," said miss barrow. "It's OK; they will join you next year; they wouldn't want you to feel bad," Miss Barrow told sarah.
"Besides, you're going to make new friends that you can talk to until they arrive, and then next year everything will be back to what was planned," Mrs smith told sarah.
"You are still going the same day as me, aren't you?" Sarah asked.
"Yes, of course, I need to go home and finish packing, and then I'll be ready," Hannah told Sarah.
"OK, good. I've got packing to finish as well," Sarah told Hannah.
"We should go now, Hannah; we need to go and finish packing and sort out some final arrangements for UNI, but it's all right; you and Sarah will see each other again in a few days when you get to UNI," mrs smith told her.
"In the meantime, if you want to use the house phone to talk to Sarah because your phone is broken, you can," mr smith told her.
"It will only take a few days for your new phone to come through as well, so you'll have it by the time you go to uni," mrs smith told her.
"Okay, thanks," Hannah said.
Hannah and her parents then left and walked off, miss barrow and sarah headed towards the taxi that Miss Barrow had called when Sarah was getting changed.
"I know you feel bad, I can tell but it's OK. It's normal to feel like that when something like this has happened, but Megan and Olivia will be fine, or as fine as they can be, and then you'll see them again during the holidays, and if you need to speak to them on the phone, you can, and then next year, which will go by before you know it, you will see them again properly at university. Megan will be a little bit different now than she was before, but that's all right, you're all learn to cope and sort things out, and you always have each other. It will make your friendship stronger because you all went through it together." Miss Barrow told Sarah.
"Yeah, I know, I just can't help but worry," said Sarah, then she and her mother got in the taxi. The taxi drove off, they were silent all the way home.
When they finally got home, Sarah went upstairs to her bedroom, and a few hours later, her mother went to check on her.
"Do you need anything? Any pain medications? Any help with your bags for UNI? Anything at all?" Miss Barrow asked.
"No, I'm OK. I just want rest. I would like to be left alone if that's all right," Sarah said, not wanting to sound rude.
"Of course that's fine. I'm just worried, that's all. With everything that has happened," miss Barrow told Sarah.
"It's OK. I get it. I understand," Sarah told miss barrow.
Sarah's mother smiled at her before leaving the room. Sarah then sat by herself and thought for a minute; minutes later, Sarah picked up the house phone and called Megan's house phone.
