I slipped back in through the bedroom window, cleaning myself up first before getting back into the pajamas I was previously in and slipping into the covers with Hanna. Her hands wrapped me into a hug I'm guessing subconsciously and squeezed me tight. As bone-crushing as it was her body heat made it pretty comfortable, not to mention the suffocation of the boobs covering my face acting as pillows. I wasn't really sure how the kid would react to having the boobs of his sister in his face the first thing he woke up so I slithered the best I could out of the hug and ended up vertically for some reason. "I guess this is how this dumbass is gonna wake up" I mumbled before drifting to sleep.

I sat up from my bed, stretching my arms and back, and looked over at my brother. "Hm..? What the hell?" I nearly jumped out of my pants at the sight of my brother sleeping perfectly straight vertically on the floor. "Jeez, it's like he was trying to be a statue or something while sleeping," I laughed, shaking my head as I hopped off of the bed and made my way out of our bedroom. "Well, let him be," I thought to myself as I made my way down the hallway. Not thinking twice about it, I wandered off into our living room and found myself watching some show on TV. Little did I know, my brother was still sleeping in the exact same position. Hours had passed and he had not woken up. I started to worry as I thought of all kinds of possibilities that could have happened while he slept. Was he sleepwalking? Was something hurting him or was it maybe an underlying medical condition? I quickly got up from the couch, my mind racing with various scenarios. I decided to go and check on my brother, making sure he was still alive and safe. As soon as I opened the door to our bedroom, I found myself relieved that he was still sleeping peacefully there. He had not moved an inch since hours ago! But why? I shook his shoulders, it was about time for him to be enrolled In that school he was asking me about. He dribbled awake but still held that stern apathetic expression he's always had since we picked him up. Monika said it would take some time because we don't know what went on in that orphanage but I still couldn't help but be worried about if we were ever gonna get him to actually smile or not. I decided to be positive and kept talking, trying to convince him that he would love the school and it was a better alternative than staying at home with Lana. A faint smile appeared on his lips as he saw Lana's reaction every time I mentioned anything about that school. He was slowly getting used to her, even understanding when she tried to make conversation with him. Finally, he accepted to go and I could not be more proud of my brother, so I quickly got him ready while Lana distracted Monika with all the fun stuff they were gonna do at school. Maybe this was the turning point for our lives and a new beginning for me and my brother! The school came into sight and for the first time since we brought him home, he lightly tugged on the slightly too-tight bowtie but a faint light of amazement shone on my brother's face as he took in all the new sights he was seeing. We got out of the car and started walking towards the main office and talked to the man for a bit. he had us sign a few papers and interviewed him. "So Uh…what are your brother's main skills?" he asked. My brother softly replied, "I am good at math, chemical science, wood works, smiting- " A pleased look appeared on the man's face and I knew my brother had passed. My smile widened as I looked at him with pride in my eyes, it was like a weight had been lifted from our shoulders now that school life was ahead of us! "Has he ever been to a school?" the man asked. I glanced at my brother and we shook our heads in unison, so I calmly replied "No sir. He's never had this experience before". "And finally Who are the kid's real parents in case of an emergency," he asked. the room went silent, not a sound was heard. My brother and I looked at each other, both knowing things had suddenly become complicated. He had no idea who his parents were, considering they left him at a very young but I knew full and well who they were. I wish I could've explained to my brother without being angry with them but that was simply impossible. "My parents are...not around any longer," I said slowly. The man nodded in understanding and gave a gentle smile, "That's perfectly fine, we just wanted to make sure we had all the necessary information." He handed me a form with some final questions that needed to be answered. After filling out the paperwork my brother and I were out of the room and Monika, Lana, and Olive walked over. Lana and Olive had already finished their interview and instantly came to me to ask questions. The four of us were happy because all of us got into the school but Monika looked over at Loid and her smile faded and she walked over to him, kneeling down and tilting her head. "Loid, are you alright?" She hugged him tightly. At once his apathetic expression turned into one of a flustered surprise. "Yes Ma'am, I'm fine.." He looked away. Lana and Olive glanced at each other and smiled then looked back to me, "Well, now that we're finished with this why don't we go get some ice cream? We can all celebrate!" They said in unison. I smiled at them before wrapping an arm around Loid's shoulders. "yeah...That would be nice!"
