Chapter 65 - Declaration

The dulled eyes of Troi soon became full of life as his emotions came back into his mind.

But among them, the very first thing he felt was complete confusion.

'What the hell just happened?'

After contemplating how to wriggle his way out of the situation that was making him sweat buckets.

In the end, he didn't need to do anything.

For the moment they made eye contact,

She just chose to leave all by herself.

'Was I that ugly?'

He then shook his head to no longer think about what happened.

Using his right hand he took the object he stored in one of his pockets.

A copper bullet with a bit of grey dust on its tip.

'She didn't notice this right?'

He debated if he would sneak a glance at Gwen.

But in the end, he chose not to.

'She could still be watching me, better not risk it.'

And that was the right choice for a couple of seats away from him.

A silver-haired girl with eyes of blue had her gaze set upon his back.

Her mind now had another thing she was curious about.

'Why was that guy carrying a bullet?'

'Was it to gain her interest once again?'

'No that couldn't be possible, before I even got inside the train he was already fiddling with it.'

Troi then carefully hid that lone bullet within the thousand eyes on his chest.

Through his shirt, it soon opened and swallowed it whole letting out a dim purple light.

His gaze then turns to the rumbling glass once again.

Holding his chin with his hand,

He let out a small sigh.

"I need a goddamn drink,"

***********

The Honor Class of the freshman of the Academy of Tyresia was filled with chatter and murmurs.

This year was quite a chaotic experience for them.

The news about a demon being able to pass through the shield of the crown was one.

Then a supposed freshman was able to defeat it and not just any freshman but one of their classmates.

And now two assassins were revealed to them that were able to get through the guards of the renowned house of the Coldfeathers.

This information terrified the nobles greatly.

For if one of the high houses failed to detect those assassins.

Would their families stand a chance?

"What if our house is the next target?"

"My family told me that there were increasing the numbers of our guardian knights"

"Same with me, holy hell, I never thought there was a person in this world that could go invisible"

Voices full of dread and anxiety filled the class.

But then,

"Calm your nerves," A voice full of authority overtook the one's tremblings.

"We the Heroux have personally begun investigating this situation,"

"So, fellow nobles, ease your worrying, they'll face the wrath of Tyresia, soon enough"

The other nobles then started nodding their heads.

Their heart full of panic was relieved by the announcement from Nathan.

The family of Heroux was one of the most powerful noble houses in Tyresia and their personal involvement in the matter sent some hope to them.

'How about you lick my black a*s, Nathan.'

Troi who was currently seated on his usual chair above.

Looked at the red-haired noble below with clear contempt in his eyes.

He was about to hurl more insults toward him in his mind but a familiar voice was caught by his ears.

"Hey, Wyatt, can I talk to you for a bit?"

He then turned his gaze and the sight of a silver-haired girl greeted him.

A couple of chairs down below him Gwen had approached Wyatt as she did with him earlier.

"About what?"

"About what happened at the celebration that the Coldfeathers held,"

Wyatt was visibly surprised by what he had heard.

But before he could utter a reply.

"Alright, class, return to your seats."

Ms. Rebecca had entered.

Seeing that there was no real reason for him to hide what he and his fellow friends experienced, he agreed.

'It seems even the cold heir of the Lynines isn't immune to gossip, after all.'

"Sure, Gwen, after class,"

"Alright,"

Gwen soon returned to her seat on the front and a loud thump could be heard as the red-haired instructor of the Honor Class put down her bag onto the podium.

"Before we start today's lesson,"

"I would like to announce that a practical lesson will be held tomorrow"

"You're going against Class A, and a friendly combat practice will occur."

"Of course, you're going to be graded by you're performance so I suggest you give it your all,"

Troi let out a small groan.

His body was still a little bit sore from fighting with the black-haired terror and now he'll be forced to fight again.

He had hoped he could have another day to rest.

But he soon steeled his mind.

Remembering how a single hit from the terror left him in agony.

He felt how pitiful and weak he was.

He knew if not for that blue barrier he would be sipping tea with her grandmother by now.

He knew he needed to get stronger.

'I should hit the training center after class.'
