The next morning found the group at the edge of the yard of the god's junkyard after being warned extensively by Zoe about the dangers and potential death that were most likely waiting for them within the yard.

Walking into the yard, Skye felt instinctively that something strange was about to happen. It was as if they would find something or someone that was always very near to her heart.

Skye refused to let her guard down as she walked into the middle of the group. She knew instinctively to be alert for any kind of danger to herself or her friends. She was in a more beast-like state, causing the surrounding conversations to become background noise, which she easily ignored, this state allowed her to be at her highest awareness, and she could protect her family and friends more easily in her beast-like state.

There were pillars on pillars of junk, including old car parts such as wheels and other random junk you would always find in a junkyard, but what made this yard different from a normal mortal junkyard was all the pillars of different weapons, which ranged from classic swords to exotic arms like staff weapons with barbs, and every once in a while you would find a defective magical automaton.

It was near the end of the yard in some sort of clearing that was free of scrap metal that Skye's sharp senses warned her of danger, opening herself up to more of her instincts, she could feel exactly where the danger was coming from, she zeroed in onto Bianca. The younger girl was in a sort of trance, she was bending over with her arm stretched out, reaching for a small shining figurine.

"BIANCA!!" Skye yelled, hoping to break her out of her trance and warn her of the danger that was about to hit them.

But her warning comes too late. Bianca already had her fingers closed around the miniature statue. Taking it with her, Bianca stood up and looked at Skye with a question on her face.

"What?" Bianca asked, just as the world around them erupted into chaos.

At that very moment, Skye heard the sound of what seemed like thousands of trash compactors crushing metal.

Trying to pinpoint where the sound came from, Skye whirled around and found a huge, dangerous problem.

Behind them, they found the mountain of scrap metal boiling and rising. Then what seemed like ten toes tilted over. What rose from the pile of metal junk was a bronze giant in full Greek armor.

It was impossibly tall as it towered over the group. The giant gleamed wickedly in the light. He looked down at them with his deformed face, trying to pinpoint the Demi-god that stole from the yard.

"Talos!" Zoe gasped.

"Who is Talos?" Percy asked as he slowly drew out his sword.

"One of Hephaestus's creations," Thalia informed him.

"Yes, but this giant is not the original one. It is too small. This is a prototype, a defective model." Annabeth added to Thalia's answer.

The giant did not like being called defective.

"INVADERS! " the giant boomed as he moved one hand to his sword and drew his weapon. The sound it made as the sword was removed from its sheath was unbearable. It was like metal scrapping against other metal. The giant's blade was about a hundred feet long, it was rusty and dull looking, but that did not matter as this sword could easily land a killing blow with ease.

"RUN!" a voice roared. 'Great advice.' Skye thought, but yet it was hopeless. The giant might be slow, but with his giant feet, he could easily catch up to them.

They all split in different directions, hoping to confuse the huge monster. Skye truly hoped that this would work, not wanting to lose anyone in this battle.

Lyra took a few moments looking around before an ear-piercing scream shattered the quiet atmosphere. Shifting to Padfoot, Lyra took off to find where and who screamed in such a panic.

Lyra came upon a truly frighting seen, there she found a group of six teens, one of which reminded her a little of Lily, huddled together as a giant metal creation rose from a pile of junk before it took notice of the group as it let out an ear-piercing screech of "INVADERS"

Lyra knew she had to do something when the giant removed his sword from his sheath and, with that thought in mind, she shifted back into herself before she roared, "RUN!" hoping that they would take her advice.

The group split as soon as the giant moved towards them. The goth-looking girl drew her shield and held it as she ran towards the highway. The giant swung his weapon towards her and took out half of the power lines, causing sparks to fly as well as blocking the teenagers' path.

The tiara-wearing teenager was releasing arrow after arrow, hoping to leave some damage, but the arrows shattered harmlessly against the metal of the giant. The hybrid that Lyra came to notice as her goddaughter went climbing up a mountain of metal, hoping to find a way to stop him from hurting her friends but not knowing enough magic to stop him or really help.

The black-haired, silver-wearing teen and the blonde-haired teen as well as the only boy, found themselves huddled together behind a broken chariot.

"You took something," Lyra heard the boy accuse the black-haired teen.

"No!" she said, but she could hear the young one's voice quivering.

"Then why did this thing start to attack?" The blond asked.

Lyra knew that she had to help the teenagers as best she could. Running down, Lyra cast her first chain of spells just as the giant began to tower over the three huddled teens. "Protego, Arresto Momentum, Confundo, Aqua Eructo, Glacius Tria, Bombarda Maxima!!" Lyra called out her chain of spells.

What happened next shocked the six teens, as this was the first time for most to see magic in action. After all, only Skye and Thalia had seen this sort of magic before. The chain Lyra created caused the following to happen, a translucent shield appeared over the three huddled teens protecting them from harm, the giant slowed down ever so slightly while shaking its head looking confused, a stream of water appeared before freezing over, this caused the giant to start to slip and slide as it moved towards its targets and finally the giant exploding as the last spell took effect.

The giant crumbled from the top down, its head, the chest, and finally, the legs collapsed back into a heap of junk, leaving the group of teens safe once more.

"What are you doing, and who are you?" The blond girl asked, holding her dagger at a ready.

"Saving your lives," Lyra stated calmly before looking directly toward Skye. "And I am Lyra Black, Skye Potter's godmother."

"What do you want from Skye? And why are you here?" The girl with a tiara said, as she stepped in front of Skye protectively.

"I am glad Skye found someone protective of her," Lyra said softly before answering the girl's questions. "First, did you really think that I would sit on the sideline and wait until one of you kids got hurt or, worse, killed? Second, all I want from Skye is a chance to get to know her and protect her. Also, I want to tell her stories of her parents. She is entitled to know about her parents." She said to the group.

"Where were you all my life? Why did I live with the Dursleys?" Skye asked, a little overwhelmed at all of this.

"Ah wait, you were sent to the Dursleys?" Lyra asked in shock before anger took over.

Breathing slowly and deeply, Lyra forced herself to calm down before answering her goddaughter. "First, you never should have gone to the Dursleys. Your mother clearly stated that in their wills. Second, the ministry imprisoned me unlawfully for your parent's death in Azkaban, this wizards' prison, for 11 years, when the actual murderer was found it was already too late for me to raise you as your parents wanted. It took me about a year to get back to my previous health before I was allowed to search for you."

"Okay, why don't we introduce ourselves while Skye takes a breather." the black hair teen said, noticing her sister's overwhelmed look.

"Good idea, I am Zoe lieutenant of Lady Artemis's hunt, this is Thalia daughter of Zeus, Percy son of Poseidon, Annabeth daughter of Athena, and finally Bianca huntress of Artemis and you already know Skye," Zoe said as she indicated to each teen.

"It is nice to meet you all. Now can you fill me in on what is going on?" Lyra asked Zoe. "Skye and I have enough time to get to know each other at a later date," Lyra said softly, hoping to give her goddaughter time to get used to the idea of having a godmother who is willing to be there for her.

Nodding Zoe started to inform Lyra of everything that happened since meeting Skye, which included Artemis's capture, Skye joining the hunt, the capture of the flag, the prophecy, meeting and killing Skye's birth father, meeting Apollo on the train, the impromptu meeting of Ares and Aphrodite and finally the need to go West where they will need to save the goddess of the hunt.

Finally, the group had a little clarity about the second line within the prophecy. Here they were in the desert, finding their last and final member of the quest, someone who was willing to be there for Skye and her new sisters.
