5 girls were at the pathway.
"You stole my phone! I know you did it! You theft!"
"I didn't! I didn't!" The one who was blamed was a petite girl in a cute bob cut. She had a cat hairpin clipped on her hair and was currently being surrounded by 4 other students.
The blonde had a red face—angry and upset. She was the one who lost her phone.
"Excuse. I'll see the students." Moxxi stepped away and Tycen smiled in appreciation before walking straight to the group.
"What's happening here?" Tycen habitually fixed his glasses.
"President!" All the 4 students' attention went to Tycen—in shock. After all they were all middle schoolers how could they compare to a senior?
"She. stole. my. phone!" The blonde exclaimed getting over from the shock. Looking very aggrieved.
Tycen calmly looked at the two back and forth and sigh before asking one of the girls, "Has the phone been found?"
"Yes, president." The blonde girl showed him the phone. "This is my phone. And she stole it. I saw it! She was holding it!"
The bob girl looked at Tycen on the verge of crying. "I didn't. I didn't do that president. I only picked it up and I was about to go to the student affairs to turn it over when she came and told me I stole it."
Tycen couldn't help but glance at Moxxi then back at the girls.
"All of you, follow me." His voice was stern. He eyed Moxxi who confusedly pointed at himself asking if he was included. Tycen nodded. Moxxi was forced to follow.
They arrive inside an office. By the door it says councilor. It was quite a walk but the girls didn't utter a sound. The bob haired girl had also stopped crying.
When they entered there was no one in the office. The table says 'currently on leave will be back on friday.' Tycen let everyone sit down. The office was small so they were a bit cramped.
"Can someone tell me what happened—Slowly." Tycen immediately added as he noticed one of the girls was ready to spit fire.
"Layla and us were looking for Shilo's phone. We walked back then we found her holding it."
"So you found it when she was holding it?"
"Yes."
"So why are you saying she stole it?"
"It's because we're classmates. Everyone knew Shilo's phone was gone. Only her didn't react to it."
So all of these girls were classmates. The blonde was named Shilo.
"I didn't really. I found it on the floor. I was gonna return it to the student affairs. I'm not lying!" The girl cried with big tears.
"Stop crying. What's your name?" Tycen asked gently as he bent down to the girl's height.
"Emily."
"Okay, Emily. I'm not blaming you. What we need to do right now is we go to the monitoring room and see what happened. Shiloh, are you okay with that?" Tycen looked at Shilo who nodded stiffly.
"Good. Wait." Tycen's phone rang. He answered it.
"I'm stuck with something. Just do it for me. Okay. Thank you." Tycen ended the call and looked at the 6 people with him and said, "let's go."
The call was from the student council. Asking where he was. But since his entangled with something he can't go there. The vice-president would need to do the closing speech for him instead.
They went to the monitoring room. Moxxi looked around quite interested. The monitoring room like what it implies, contains all the recordings of the school. It was a room full of tv monitors detailing every happening inside the school.
"Oh? What are you guys doing here?" The monitoring in-charge was a middle aged man. His beer-belly was very eye catching.
Tycen smiled amicably. "We're here to watch a video on the east side. Is it possible?"
The monitoring in-charge frown. "If you're talking about the building, near the garden.. I'm sorry but we cannot access it right now. The monitor is broken."
Everyone looked at the monitor that the in-charge was pointing at. It was a black screen.
"But does that mean there's no recording?"
"There is but we'll not be able to see it."
Tycen became thoughtful. He glanced at the people behind him then back at the in-charge.
"When will it be repaired?"
"We contacted them last week, the ones who'll take care about this will come next week."
"I see."
"Aya, we've been talking all this time. May I ask why are you asking about it?"
Tycen shook his head. "We're having a project."
The in-charge nodded in understanding. "I see. Just like those kids in broadcasting. They also borrow my stuff. If you don't have anything else, leave. My space is small."
Tycen nodded and bid his thanks. When they got out Layla pulled his cuffs. He looked down with a questioning gaze. "Where do we go now, President?"
"We'll go back to the councilor's office first. Let's go."
As they were walking the girls were giving Emily looks and they kept their distance. Tycen stared deeply at them. He was wondering how to solve this problem.
Moxxi went to his side as they walked and half-murmured, "I think I can help you."
Bright sapphire eyes met glowing amethyst. Both stared at each other's eyes.
"What do you propose?"
"When we go back, let me borrow a laptop. You only want the video to the east building, right? I'll help you."
Tycen gave it a thought and slowly nodded afterwards.
They went back to the councilor's office while Tycen went to the council's office to get his laptop. When he arrived back the entire room was silent.
"Here." He said to Moxxi who grabbed the laptop. Moxxi sat in front of the table and began tapping. Everyone watched him as he manuever the laptop. It took a while. Tycen received another call.
"I'm at the councilor's office. Yes. Okay." The call was short that Moxxi couldn't help but glance at Tycen.
"It was our secretary. The program has finished successfully." There was a hint of worry in Tycen's voice.
Moxxi nodded. "Don't worry. It's done. Here you go." Moxxi shifted the laptop so that Tycen could see it better.
Tycen watched the video intently. The video was rewind to the estimated time. He rewinds it a bit more.
"That's my sister!" Shilo exclaimed in shock.
A senior student was walking in the hallway. She was carrying a box. When she rounded the corner something fell from the pocket of her jacket. Minutes after, a bob haired girl walked-in. Then she noticed the phone lying on the ground, she picked it up and right then Shilo's group appeared and noticed this incident.
Tycen looked at the group of girls behind him who cut sorry figures.
"Now, it's proven that what Emily said is right. What do you have to say?" Shilo looked at Emily apologetically.
"I'm sorry, Emily. I hope you can forgive me." Emily didn't say anything but remained silent.
Tycen gazed at the other girls, prompting them to also apologize. Each of them said their 'sorrys' so it was now settled. Tycen let the students leave and made sure they wouldn't tell anyone about this incident.
"Hacking into Natsume's security. I must say I'm impressed." Tycen said while he deleted every trace.
"You don't need to worry. There won't be any traces." Moxxi said as he stood up and pocket his hands on his trousers.
"I don't worry. I just hope this incident will stay between us. I'll deal with this." Moxxi shot his brows up as his lips curled into a smirk.
"Sure. I did have fun. Is it weird?" They got out of the office and walked back to the outdoor court, passing into the garden.
Tycen shook his head. "Depends on what's weird."
He looked at Moxxi, sizing him up. The guy before him was a head taller than him. His skin was like a silk tan and his hair glowed resembling the sun. He was like an elf prince visiting the human realm.
"Are you part of Natsume's student exchange?" Tycen shook his head from Moxxi's question.
"No. But the vice-president will. The Dean didn't allow me because we'll be having our school foundation gala this year so it would be the busiest time for the student council since we're the one in charge of the planning and preparation."
They walked into the garden of Natsume High School. The garden looked more like a mini forest. It consisted of bamboo trees that shielded them from outsiders. The air was fresh and cool. It was a nice and quiet place.
"What about you?" Tycen asked while looking into those orbs.
"Ah.. yes." Moxxi said dumbly as he met those sapphire eyes, his mind went blank. He wasn't part of the exchange but for some reason, he now was. He looked into those sapphire eyes that felt familiar an undeniable longing imerged from his heart.
They arrived at the expanse of area where they could see the outdoor court. It was a short walk. Moxxi felt dismayed. He saw his group talking with Natsume's students probably sharing insights.
"Well if that's the case then I'll be seeing you next week. I hope your stay with us will be meaningful. Student Moxxi, I'll get going." Tycen gave him one sweet smile and started walking away.
But before he thought about it, he had grabbed Tycen's arm forcing him to halt.
Tycen wasn't bothered in the slightest there was still a smile on his lips.
"I apologize." Moxxi let go.
"No. Its fine. Do you need something?"
"Do—have we met before?"
Tycen frowned. "Mm. I don't think so."
The two stared eye to eye but there was nothing in Tycen's face that could tell Moxxi if he was lying or not so he could only lay down.
"O-okay. Thanks." Moxxi walked to his group, embarrassed. Unaware of the pair of eyes following him intently.
