"We meet again, Young one."
Turning my head aside, I found a Large turtle with cracks all over its shell lying in a cage.
"It's you!"
I exclaimed loudly in the demonic language, I didn't think we'll meet each other again, at least not so soon.
"It is indeed me, Young Skyeus."
The Turtle replied slowly.
"It seems you have also been subjugated to the cruel battles these vile creatures make us fight for their entertainment."
Added the Turtle while looking at the meat I was munching on.
"Yes, I just came back from my first fight."
I replied, lying down in my now much larger cage that allowed me to move a bit more freely.
Looking around, I saw the golem was also present in the room, silent and unmoving as usual.
I also noticed another beast, it was a large creature with the lower body of a horse and a humanoid upper body.
'A Minotaur!'
I thought with surprise, while not as well-known as the elves, Minotaurs are the kind of beast you'll never mistake anything for.
The Minotaur had cuts all over its body, one of its horns was cut off and the other had visible cracks. It seemed to be in a very bad condition overall.
The minotaur was lying on its belly with its eyes closed.
"Is that beast sleeping?"
I asked the turtle curiously.
"It is indeed, that is a minotaur. A species that while strong in combat, suffer from many disadvantages; one of them is that they sleep in a very awkward position."
Replied the turtle in a tone of wisdom.
'That turtle is very knowledgeable!'
I thought to myself, that Turtle can be a very helpful ally with his knowledge.
"May I ask for your name, Sir Turtle?"
I asked the turtle with a respectful tone.
"A name? Haha, I wish I had one. Names are only for beasts whose bloodline quality is very high, like yours."
He said, Closing its eyes.
"I have lived for many years, and have only come across three named beasts, one of them being you, what is your name, Young Skyeus?"
The Turtle snuck a question.
"My name is Aviseus, Sir."
I replied to him respectfully while preparing a list of questions in my mind.
"A very fitting name for a creature like you."
The turtle said graciously, looking over at me as I began to speak.
"Do you mind answering a few of my questions, Wise Turtle?"
I asked him, hoping to get some answers to my many questions.
"Of course! and please, just call me Turtle."
The turtle replied with a humble tone.
"Alright, I'll start, first of all; What is the song of the earth you mentioned while we were being taken here in the carriage?"
I asked the question I was most curious about, The song of the Earth was a very grand name.
"Starting off harshly, huh? Well, no issue. The song of the Earth is an event that occurs once every 500 Elven years, (5000 Human years) in such an event the continent will begin to quake, and creatures of the depths will rise and begin to slaughter all that does not Respect the Grand Earth that Builds up the continent. The creatures of the depth will not target those who have not tried to harm the Earth but will attack when provoked. In the event the deep sound of the Earth's quake can be heard across the entire continent, Granting in the name 'Song of the Earth'. The Song of the Earth lasts for about 48 Hours of chaos."
Hit with a whole lot of new information, I took a minute to process it all.
"What kind of creatures are the Creatures of the depth?"
I asked the Turtle, Hoping to know more about this terrifying event that might end civilizations if the Turtle did not exaggerate it.
"Golems, they are very similar to golems. They are also completely limited to the ground, should they leave the surface of the Earth for even a second, they will die. Giving aerial creatures a massive advantage to survive."
'Well, that's nice.'
I thought with relief, I doubt I can fly for 48 Hours non-stop, but I can glide for a very long period of time.
"When will the Song of the Earth start?"
I asked one of the most important questions I had in mind.
"In 2 days, at the dawn of the 3rd day."
Replied the turtle.
'That's very soon!'
I thought in a surprised tone.
*Creek*
The room's door opened and a guard came in holding a sword.
"Keep ya mouth shut, beasts! I can't hear your barks all day long, I'll go insane!"
He shouted looking at all the beasts in the room.
Looking at the Turtle, we both lay down and closed our eyes to get more energy for the next day, as more fights were waiting for us.
*Creek*
The sound of the guard leaving the room and closing the door was the last thing I heard before it all went dark.
***
*Creek*
I woke up to the sound of the door opening, and a guard entering the room with a wheeled platform connected to a rope behind him.
He walked towards me and grabbed my cage and put it on the wheeled platform, then he walked my cage out the door and turned right, walking through the hallways.
'We are not going towards the previous arena.'
I noticed.
The Colosseum may use different kinds of battle types, to entertain its viewers in different ways.
'Would they try to change the battle format?'
A possibility appeared in my mind, that could be the case, but I should still be prepared regardless.
As my cage was being dragged through the different Hallways, I keenly observed the architecture and material of the Colosseum.
The Colosseum had a medieval style of architecture, but with a slight modern feel to it.
The walls were extremely smooth and made of some kind of yellow stone that would shine in strong sunlight, and the floor and roof made out of Dark wood.
As The Guard's footsteps reverberated throughout the Hallways, I noticed that the floor sounded hollow.
'Are there more floors below us, or is the wood itself just innately hollow?'
I pondered, it's unlikely that the wood would be innately hollow, as that would mean the wood would be weak, and no one in their right minds would use a weak material to build such a massive building! That would be a safety hazard!
I decided to take note of that fact, and try to look for any staircases leading down in the future.
As I moved my gaze to the guard, I inspected his gear.
The Guard was wearing What seems to be chainmail armor with a few layers of a thick material that I couldn't identify, but reminded me of deerskin.
Even his multiple layers of armor couldn't hide his Muscular figure, though.
As for his weapon, the guard had... No Weapon!
'Is it hidden?'
I knew there was no way a guard would walk around unarmed, so I quickly scanned him to see if he was hiding anything.
'There!'
I quickly spotted an anomaly.
In his left sleeve, there was a slight bulge that wasn't present on his right sleeve!
It wasn't long, about half the length of his forearm.
'a small dagger?'
I asked myself- I've never encountered such small weapons before!
It was an intriguing subject, however, it seems I won't have a lot of time to think about it, as I could hear the cheers of a Large crowd from far away!
As The guard took a sharp left turn, we entered an empty hallway with 2 large metal doors at its end!
