In an apartment complex that was nestled amongst a dense thicket of bushes. The complex was located in a secluded area, with no other buildings or homes nearby. The complex itself was made up of several small buildings, each with their own separate entrances. Egon's family lived in one of the ground floor apartments, which faced out towards a small garden area.

"Egon, run as fast as you can. Don't look back, and don't let them lay their eyes on you," Egon's mom instructed him sternly.

Egon, who was just twelve years old, was confused and scared. He looked at his mother with a fear and disbelief. "Mom, what's happening? Is there a need for this? Are you coming with me?"

"Don't worry. I'll meet up with you," his mom reassured him, but her voice trembled with fear. She looked back over her shoulder as she spoke, as if she was afraid of something or someone pursuing them.

"What about Dad?.....You said earlier, I would finally get to meet him today" Egon asked, hoping for some answers.

"Your father is taking care of something important, I assure you that you would meet him when the time is right," she replied with a petrified.

Egon had never met his father, and his mother's answers only fueled his curiosity.

"YOU KEEP MENTIONING HIM, but I have never seen him in my life. Is there something you're not telling me?" Egon pressed on hoping for answers.

"Please.... Egon. There is no time. Just go," his mother kissed him on the forehead and urging him to leave. He started walking away, but his curiosity lingering about what was happening.

Egon looked back it his mom one more time.

"Leave!" His mother shouted.

He turned forward and walked briskly away from his mom. All of a sudden he heard screeching voices.

Egon looked back to see if his Mom was behind him.

"Is that you, Mom?" he called out, his voice trembling with fear. He knew his mom was supposed to be right behind him, so he tried to conceal his terror. But it was unfortunate that he didn't see her.

"Mom!....where are you?"he said frightened.

But, before he knew what was happening, a dark and terrifying creature appeared out of thin air and launched an attack on him.

The creature bolted out of the shadows with lightning speed, its sinewy muscles rippled beneath its dark, scaly skin. It bore a striking resemblance to a giant, feral dog, but its eyes glinted with an otherworldly intelligence that made Egon's blood run cold. Its razor-sharp teeth gleamed in the dim light, and as it hurtled towards him, Egon realized with horror that he was completely caught off guard and defenseless.

Egon screamed,

*Ahhhhhhhh!* in terror and quickly scrambled backward. He accidentally kicked a toy car on the floor, and his leg slipped out from under him, causing him to fall. He landed hard on the wooden floor, hurting his butt.

Egon crawled backward as the creature approached him slowly. He kept going until his back hit the wall of the hallway, and he realized there was nowhere else to go.

Egon felt an overwhelming sense of terror as the creature approached him. He knew that he had to stay calm and think fast if he was going to survive. He watched as the creature's body loomed over him, blocking the entrance to the basement that he needed to enter. He knew that he was trapped, and that the creature was drawing closer.

Egon's mind raced as he tried to think of a way out of the situation. He knew that he had to act quickly if he was going to survive.

"Mom, where are you," he whimpered,

perceiving the danger around him but not knowing what to do.

He Looked around trying to come up with a plan.

He saw a clear view of his mother and his heart leapt with relief and gratitude. She was now directly behind the creature. In her hand, she held a tongue of flame, which seemed to flare up brightly in the dark hallway.

The creature turned to face Egon's mother, and Egon could see the determination and strength in her eyes as she confronted it. With one swift motion, she threw the flame towards the creature, and it hit its target. The creature howled in pain and fury as the flame struck it. Egon could see it writhing in agony on the floor.

The creature leaped backward as it was engulfed in flames. It was unstable and moved recklessly, thrashing around trying to put out the fire that had spread across its body. It destroyed several partitions of the wall as it danced erratically, until the flames finally died out.

Despite Egon no longer being it's target, the creature did not back down. Instead, it quickly turned its attention to the person responsible for igniting it's furious glare. The creature was consumed by rage and began to act wildly in a state of total frenzy.

The creature headed straight for Egon's Mom with all its might. She saw its rage, and was also ready for a showdown.

The creature rushed forward at an incredible speed, mouth agape, with its sharp fangs ready to gouge out the flesh of its target.

Egon's Mom reflexes were heightened to an extreme level, making the creature's movements seem like they posed no threat to her.

It was approaching her with massive speed, on the spot she flipped over it landing two meters in front of her son,

"I told you to run not looking back, but you didn't listen. Go! because they are more coming," She screamed loud at Egon.

It wasn't long the creature moved its head left and right looking for its target, but it couldn't find her.

It rotated its head backward, and finally, it located its target.

It quickly turned his body swiftly and launched a second attack heading straight for Egon's mother.

She was backing the creature. Suddenly, it got closer to Egon's Mom again,

"Mom! Watch out! " He shouted with fear. It wasn't up to a second, his mom backflipped over the creature instantly.

The momentum of the creature was still at full force, so it was approaching Egon's direction.

He ran out of the way diving inside the bedroom that was at his right-hand side, promptly.

He didn't want to be turned into a meat paste from the tremendous force.

The creature was coming with full force so it scattered the wall at the end of the hallway. Then it became unconscious,

"Egon, go, I will buy time," his mother urged him to move.

"Now get into the basement at this moment, while It's still recov...err....", but before she could finish her statement, a creature burst into their house from the left-hand side of the window.

More were trooping in, and she created multiple fireballs and threw them at the creatures.

Immediately upon impact with the fire, the creatures turned into piles of dust.

Overwhelmed by the massive number of creatures that overcrowded their home, he swiftly went to the basement.

He removed the floorboards that covered the door to the basement quickly. While his mom fought she told him,

"Be fast, they're too much, I don't think I can hold them for long," as she fired at the troops.

Egon increased the speed at which he removed the boards, trying to remove them in a short while.

Suddenly, he heard a growl from the open wall, low and behold it was the unconscious creature shaking.

It was removing the blocks which were on its body. It gradually stood up from the floor standing on its four feet fully recovered like nothing happened.

"Come on, I don't have time," Egon told himself as his hands were shaking due to the circumstances he found himself in.

Egon's hands trembled as he frantically tore at the floorboards, his mind racing with images of the vicious creature that pursued him. Fear gripped him tightly, threatening to paralyze him completely.

But with each board he removed, his resolve grew stronger. He refused to let the creature defeat him, and he worked with a feverish intensity to clear the way.

Finally, he succeeded in removing the last board, and a sense of relief washed over him. As he looked down at the space beneath the floor, he saw the biometric device that his mother had always used. It was a sense of hope as he realized that he might be able to get out of here.

He turned his gaze toward the biometric device, allowing it to scan his iris to unlock the door. Without much hesitation the door sounded.

*Psssssh*

Egon entered the door; climbing the ladder that went down. He grabbed the corner of the ladder and put his legs on the rung gradually.

His head was thirty inches above the surface of the ground when he took a glance at his mom one more time.

Her every muscle strained as she fought against the horde of vicious creatures, determined to protect herself and those she loved. With every fire she shot, she unleashed a flurry of sparks that illuminated the darkened room.

As she caught his gaze, tears welled up in her eyes, but her resolve remained unbroken as she spoke with a fierce determination in her voice

"Go! I love you, remember that," she wept as she told him.

"No, Mom!" Egon cried out, his voice filled with fear and desperation.

Suddenly, a pack of vicious creatures pounced on his mother, biting and clawing at her with savage intensity. "Get off of her!" he screamed, his voice cracking with emotion.

But the creatures showed no mercy, tearing into her flesh with ruthless precision. He watched in horror as his mother was overwhelmed by their sheer numbers.

"Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" he wailed, his heart breaking at the sight of her being torn apart by the savage beasts.
