The sports car that Freya stepped into was renowned as one of the finest vehicles ever manufactured in Mystical. As she settled into the plush seats, designed to comfortably accommodate three passengers, she couldn't help but admire the radiant red interior. Red had always been Freya's favorite color, and she made sure to surround herself with it wherever she went.
"Madam, where are we going?" the chauffeur asked politely.
"Just take me home!" she exclaimed with anger.
In that moment, Freya was consumed by frustration, and unfortunately, she directed her outburst at the unsuspecting driver. Almost immediately, a pang of guilt washed over her. Why did she have to transfer her anger onto him? After all, he had simply asked a question.
"I apologize for yelling at you," she said, her voice softer this time. "It's just that I'm in a really bad mood."
"No problem at all, madam!" he replied, glancing at her through the rearview mirror. "Thanks for understanding," she added, genuinely appreciative of his patience.
Freya had her flaws, but one thing that couldn't be denied was her kind heart. Despite her occasional arrogance, it was merely a facade she put up to shield herself from the consequences of her uncontrollable abilities.
As Freya reminisced about the recent altercation between Petal and Egon, she glanced sideways. Petal hovered nearby, and Freya couldn't help but praise her. "Petal! My goodness, you were absolutely spectacular!" she exclaimed, mixed with both admiration and reproach. "But you went too far."
"Freya! What do you mean? He started it first. I couldn't just sit back and watch you be humiliated by him," Petal defended herself.
"I know you were acting in my defense, and I appreciate that. But you also know that the young man has a robot assistant with a powerful quantum processor, just like you. He could potentially expose our deepest secrets. While I know you could do the same to them, we were in public. It wouldn't be wise to discredit him openly. I wouldn't want the same for myself either. Next time, please choose your words more carefully," Freya cautioned Petal.
"I don't quite understand you, Freya! I thought you were against him, and now it seems like you're supporting him. I hope it's not what I'm thinking?" Petal inquired, her confusion evident.
Freya was taken aback by Petal's words, but she didn't want to delve further into the conversation, fearing it might lead to wild assumptions.
"I think playtime is over. Now, I think you need to recharge and rest," Freya insisted.
"But I don't need to rest. I'm a robot!" Petal protested.
"There are no 'buts'! I don't want you causing any more trouble," Freya concluded firmly.
In a burst of frustration, Petal instantly transformed into her quantum watch form, displaying her anger.
Finally, Freya and Petal arrived at Blaze Tower. Freya hastily entered the building, made her way to the elevator, and swiftly ascended to her room.
Once inside, Freya shut the door forcefully, the sound resonating with her pent-up emotions. "Freya! Are you back?" Miriam's voice echoed from the kitchen, but Freya didn't respond.
Perplexed, Miriam dried her hands and hurried to the living room, hoping to find Freya there. She searched every nook and cranny, but there was no sign of anyone. "Freya!" she called out again, but still, there was no reply. Growing increasingly worried, Miriam approached Freya's room when suddenly, she heard a piercing scream.
"Aaaaaaaaaah?!" The sound of Freya's voice pierced the air. Alarmed, Miriam raced towards Freya's room, fearing that something terrible had happened to her.
With a swift motion, she froze the door, transforming it into a solid block of ice. It stood there, veiled in frost, as she positioned herself to unleash her power. With a mighty kick from her legs, she released a thunderous force that reverberated through the air. "Boom!" The door collapsed, its fragments scattered across the floor, a testimony to the immense strength she possessed.
Miriam's voice echoed through the room, intense anger lacing every word. She stormed in, brimming with energy and anticipation. However, to her astonishment, the room revealed no one but Freya, standing in utter disbelief.
Freya, her eyes fixated on the remnants of her once splendid door, stood there in awe. It was a masterpiece crafted from Empyrean steel, renowned for its unyielding strength. Yet, in a matter of moments, it had succumbed to the power of frost, reduced to mere particles of ice. She was overwhelmed by conflicting emotions, a mix of surprise and joy at witnessing Miriam's unexpected feat, even if it was triggered by a mere scream.
"Why, Miriam? Why did you destroy my door over a simple scream? You could have just opened it. Besides, I never closed it, and there was no one here," Freya exclaimed, a hint of surprise in her tone.
"Oh, please forgive me! I'm deeply sorry. I acted impulsively out of concern for you. I will make sure to fix everything. Please don't be upset," Miriam pleaded, as she regretted.
"Miriam, you're my sister. You don't have to apologize for a trivial matter like a door. I'm actually impressed by your newfound strength. I wouldn't even mind if you could obliterate this entire building just to protect me. That's how much I trust you," Freya reassured, brimming with sibling love and pride.
Suddenly, a dazzling flash of light illuminated the room, capturing everyone's attention. It was X10, one of the shadow guards, dressed in an all-black outfit with a mask that obscured his face, revealing only his piercing eyes.
"Mistresses! Are you hurt? What happened here?"
"There's nothing to worry about. We're safe with Miriam. You know how strong she is. We were merely assessing her capabilities with the door. Please, don't fret," Freya responded.
X10 stood in awe, his gaze drawn to the shattered door and the ice particles strewn about. He muttered to himself, barely audible, "This girl possesses unimaginable power." The raw strength and force required to break down the door left him astounded.
Turning his attention to Miriam, he met her curious gaze, seeking answers. As his eyes bore into hers, she felt a tinge of shyness and looked away, cheeks flushed with a hint of redness.
Intrigued by the mysterious stranger behind the mask, Miriam's mind wandered, questioning his identity. "Who is this gentleman?" she pondered.
Freya interrupted her thoughts, bringing her back to reality. "X10, we're fine. Just arrange for someone to repair the door," she instructed.
X10 nodded with a respectful bow and swiftly vanished, leaving only a mirage of his presence behind.
Miriam stood spellbound, amazed by his unexpected disappearing act. "I never knew he could move so swiftly!" she exclaimed, unable to contain her surprise.
Teasingly, Freya remarked, "Seems like someone has a crush."
"Nooo! I can't have a crush on someone whose face I haven't even seen," Miriam denied with conviction, masking her true curiosity about the enigmatic guard.
"Instead of dwelling on that, let's discuss this trending video," Miriam deflected, trying to divert the conversation.
"What video are you referring to?" Freya's curiosity piqued, anticipation lacing her voice.
With a mischievous grin, Miriam replied, "Don't tell me you're unaware of what's been happening. Well, I won't spoil the surprise. See it for yourself." With a swift motion, she activated her quantum watch, summoning a bright and vibrant projection on the nearby wall.
Freya's eyes widened in astonishment as she glimpsed the vivid image playing before them. It depicted every moment of their earlier encounter, including the intense scene where she had been atop Egon. Unable to contain her emotions, Freya was consumed by shock…..
