Chapter 5 - 5. First skill

Footsteps could be heard In a dark withered underground passage, the owner of those footsteps was non other than the teenager who dugged the hole to reach this place.

" thank god, I charged my phone before coming here"

' using the flashlight in my cellphone, I could see the end of the passage… a laboratory'

It was said that when the demons conquered this continent the orchid city was the city where first appeared and where ' the bloody day' occurred.

" what the hell? Isn't this too big to be underground?.."

Every wall and every machine had at least a huge screen attached to them. I could only imagine what charts and data's were on them.

In the center of the massive laboratory, there was a huge spaceship surrounded by a glass container to preserve it?

" it has been three hundred years already, I don't think the security measures still work"

In the novel, there wasn't any danger or alarm going off when the main character entered here.

Walking through the door in the glass container I sighed in relief that no alarm or security checks were activated.

' entering the spaceship a much more advanced and profound scene was in display'

" I can tell why the dwarves are the smartest"

Everything, was much more complicated than the previous facility technology. There were no wires and everything was floating even though the energy was cut off.

" will if those researchers didn't understand, how in the hell would I do? At least maybe that girl would understand this stuff"

One of the main lead was a female from the richest merchant group known as a genius with incomparable mind and incomprehensible thinking. Not only did she figure how to contact the dwarves, she even made the dwarves give another chance of negotiation with earth even though they had a bad impression from stealing the spaceship.

" well, let's just take what we came here for"

'Opening a black desk with weird language, a high quality magical scroll could be seen'

As soon as I touched the scroll a panel appeared before me

[ The void ] S rank skill

Skill type: [Active] [Automatic]

Description:

[ The wielder of this skill will have a defensive portal that can protect the user from attacks up to rank S except physical attacks. The stronger the attack, The more time is required for recharging the void. Weak attacks of rank C and below have no cool down time]

The skill was supposed to go for the dwarf in charge but before the dwarf could return in the space ship he was attacked. The desk should be protected by encrypted language but the energy after all this time had ran out making it easy to get the skill.

" that's the real deal"

Without any time waisted, I took the scroll and ripped it off. Immediately after, I felt a calming sensation floating around me.

Usually, strong skills like this one would be confiscated by one of the main powerhouses, and the public can never obtain it even with large amount of money.

" Now I'm almost like a turtle. Unfortunately, physical attacks are not included. However, I will definitely get my hand in that OP martial arts"

One of the elite families had a powerful martial arts that doesn't only boost physical attacks but also builds a strong body with a higher regenerative power. Originally it was in the possession of one of the villains. The readers even gave that villain the nickname ' cockroach'. Thankfully, his father the patriarch of the family was a good person. Hopefully, I can strike a good deal with them.

" let's go and test this space friend"

'In a nearby unknown dungeon, a young teenager with red glowing eyes could be seen surrounded by a bunch of E rank ' striking bats'. The young man walked casually as the bats kept attacking him with sound wave attacks. However, a weird portal kept eating everything that was shooting the young man'

" I am him"

" weak little bats bow before this king…..

that line is cringy as hell… anyway this skill is much better than I thought"

After the quick test I got out of the dungeon which was cleared by the main character right before he got that skill.

" next is offense. An average student have rank E power, and I can barely kill F rank creatures."

I started thinking of the next step.

" what I'm lacking is attacking power, but at the same time I don't want to catch unnecessary attention… if the professors figured out that I had strong skills with no backing. Feigning ignorance will not result in good outcome, and the elite families descendent will not leave me alone as I'm a commoner who is stronger than them. They will probably bully me just like what they have done to the main character…."

" I need a fake average martial arts for now… also a very powerful skill that no one can identify…."
