"If for one second you think I'm giving you my number, you're delusional.” I say to
Zane.
“Okay let me rephrase.” He clears his throat. “Will you be so kind to attend this
party my pal's hosting in Oakwood?” He asks once more in a posh accent.
“Oakwood?” I inquire blatantly.
“You heard correctly.” He replies, placing his hand on his hip, looking high and mighty. I
had to scoff.
“You've got to be kidding me.” There's no way in hell I'm going back to my hometown.
Not again. Way too many memories there. I had a run in with Ryan that other night and I do
not intend to run into him again.
“What is the problem?” Zane looks at me, his thick dark eyebrows furrowed.
Yes, there is Zane.
“Why should I even go to this party with you?” I ask instead of telling him the lengthy list
of reasons I have not wanting to go back to Oakwood.
“I don't even know you. You're probably a serial killer for all I know.” I add.
