Chapter 6 - Chapter 6

After killing the first field rabbit the rest of the mission was pretty smooth, and considering that the Mobs would only dodge to the sides Sylas decided to focus less on attacking his legs to affect his mobility and more on attacking other vital parts to kill them faster.

This was due to his confidence in his spear skills, as he had already fought with spears in special virtual spaces in the army he was quite familiar with this, even though the game limited his speed and the number of attacks he could do per sed.

The last time I fought in the army's virtual training, I could easily attack 3 or 4 times per second, but here due to its low level and statistics, I could only have the average attack of the spear with one hit per 1.5 seconds.

Luckily in between hits he could use his [Double Strike] skill to deal more instant damage and seriously injure the rabbits with ease, for an average player it would be advisable to damage the rabbit's mobility more before attacking other parts in order for Toto hits after all. Although the game imperceptibly helped players with aiming, it was still largely up to them.

It was very easy for Sylas to predict and attack the rabbits accurately while dodging, but it would be better for others who haven't trained to attack their legs and then focus elsewhere for more precision.

With this method Sylas managed to kill rabbits in just 6 seconds, and he was proud of it since for average players it would most likely take 10-12 seconds to do it, he also managed to understand certain details of what he had read earlier more clearly.

Since this was a game there was no such thing as instant death from attacking a vital point, in the real world if you pierced a rabbit's throat with a spear it would die instantly, but here it didn't matter even if you pierced its eye directly, yes. still had hp the rabbit would still be alive.

It was also much more difficult to achieve things like amputation here, I tried it in particular with a rabbit by attacking just one leg to try to rip it off and leave it crippled or immobilized, but even when its hp hit 0 I couldn't do it despite attacking. the ideal places to rip off his limb.

It was something very strange since when the spear reached a certain depth inside the rabbit a mysterious force deflected it, preventing it from causing serious damage, even when attacking the neck it was the same, normal attacks did not reach a critical point on the rabbit's neck and only the critical ones they felt themselves reaching deeper, but unable to tear off his head.

I also notice something in particular, even though the rabbit's defense in general was 8, at certain points it could cause more damage and at others less. For example, when attacking the neck or the eye it would deal 20-30% more damage than normal even if the attack was non-critical, but if the rabbit happened to manage to block you with its claws at least 50% less damage.

Despite only taking 6 seconds to kill the rabbits on average, Sylas would wait a bit after each kill until the cooldown of [Double Strike] is almost gone before continuing to use it and level it up. The difference in damage between levels 1 and 2 might not be much, but when you get him to level 5 the effort that went into leveling him will show.

That way just 25 minutes later Sylas had already collected all the necessary legs, and even [Double Strike] leveled up to level 2 after being used 100 times, he could continue hunting since he didn't feel exhausted yet, but it wouldn't be as profitable. like going back and looking for another mission.

In the game characters could get tired after hunting or walking for a long time, and the only way to recover was to rest in the cities at this point in the game, for some reason sleeping on the grass didn't seem to work, stamina was a hidden stat of which not many methods were known to improve other than level up.

Sylas was about to retire to the city when on a whim he turned his attention to the faraway rabbits beyond the tall grass, these were slightly taller and darker in color than the field rabbits he had hunted earlier, no doubt from a higher level.

They would certainly be harder to defeat, but curiosity got the better of Sylas so he approached one to check its stats.

[Wild Rabbit – common monster

Level 1

Life: 100

Mana: 20

Damage: 10

Defense: 8

speed: 8

Skills: [tackled]

Description: a wild and uncontrollable rabbit, because it can handle mana it does not fear humans and will attack when provoked]

Looking at the stats Sylas was a bit surprised, the jump from level 0 to 1 wasn't small, not only did this rabbit seem to be bigger and stronger, but all of its stats were raised quite a bit compared to the previous one, not to mention that this one seemed and to be able to attack players.

Being careful about it Sylas walked away and opened a tab with a thought, in Road of Destiny there were a lot of liberties when it came to online options, people could easily start streams and search for information on the forums with a thought.

It only takes me less than a minute to find information on the wild rabbit's [tackle] ability in the newly opened in-game forum.

[Tackling: Charge in a straight line to knock the opponent back dealing 120% physical damage and stunning them for 1 second, cooldown 10 ser]

It seems to be a pretty basic and predictable skill, not all novice towns had the same starting monsters in their vicinity, but the skills were something that would be the same for everyone as long as they had the same name.

Being monster abilities they didn't have a clear range and depended a lot on which monster used them, if a cat-sized rabbit like the one in front of Sylas hit him with a tackle it would probably only deal damage and briefly stun him, but if a larger bull or beast did it, it would most likely fly.

Having obtained enough information Sylas was filled with confidence, he didn't think it would be that difficult to defeat this monster since it could still be considered as a tutorial level, only considering that it would counterattack attack you would have to be careful when fighting.

Approaching the limit of the agro again, he took the same posture with which he used to attack the field rabbits by surprise, but just before attacking he thought of something and decided to try another method, taking a few steps forward and entering within the range of the rabbit, this one he instantly turned to look at him cautiously, as if wondering what the human in front of him was planning.

Sylas stood silently a meter away from the wild rabbit for a few seconds, when he noticed that the monster had no intention of attacking first, he quickly raised his spear, stabbing the rabbit in its hind leg, blood came out of it, but it wasn't enough. deep to affect their mobility or stats.

-5.46hp

As he was about to activate [Double Strike] to continue his combo, he noticed something strange happening, a clear light formed on the rabbit's hind legs before disappearing, it lasted less than half a second, but it was more than enough for Sylas to stop. I knew something was about to happen.

He instantly gave up the idea of attacking further and rolled to the side in the grass, as he fell he saw the rabbit dart forward in a straight line right where he had been before. The moment he landed and the rabbit missed his tackle, some blurry words appeared in the air between the two of them.

{Dodged}

Knowing that he had dodged the wild rabbit's main ability, he took the opportunity to launch another normal attack followed by a [Double Strike] right where he had previously stabbed the rabbit, with a painful squeal the rabbit fell on its side, it seems that he managed to seriously injure its hind leg.

Being wounded and with his mobility reduced to half it wasn't much of a problem to continue the fight attacking precisely on his neck or head, he slowly reduced his life until another 10 seconds passed, instantly the monster used [tackle] again but waiting for him Sylas easily dodged it while attacking him at the same time.

What I don't expect is that right at that moment the seriously injured state of the rabbit would disappear and its superior speed would return, this made the fight very difficult since it was slower than the rabbit, and even if I correctly predicted its movements and attacked it effectively I wouldn't he could dodge the scratches and his health would inevitably go down.

This lasted another 5 seconds until the [Double Strike] CD ran out and he used it to heavily wound the rabbit on its legs again, even though he had tried to do it without using the ability it had only dealt normal damage without reducing its stats, maybe it would due to the difference in level or the low quality of your weapon.

Finally, after 22 seconds of fighting, he managed to kill him when he exploded in gray lights, leaving 3 objects where he was...

[killed a {Wild Rabbit} and gained 2 XP]
