Every child is born with a purpose, with an objective, with a goal in life. Truth be told, no kid knows what any of that stuff means, and neither do I. In fact, "I am the last of them…" Some guy just told me that. Whatever the hell that's supposed to mean. I never really paid attention to it, probably you wouldn't either...Besides I was only 15.
When I was young, I got a very different version of bed time stories. My mom always told me of these incredible human beings. They were mutated into the universe by scientists, trying to discover certain element that was said to contain some sort of Nulitropin particles that was to lead to the next generation of super humans. Obviously, the discovery went sideways and dangerous levels of radiation were released to the atmosphere affecting people within a two-mile radius. Later it was said, "Mothers expectant at the time of this incident are likely to get mutated children", and to top it all off, nobody knew what effects it had to the unborn child. Out of ten children, two were likely to be mutants.
