{ Igor's POV }
It's been a year since the time I first opened my eyes. The first thing me and my brother saw was Papa. We knew instantly knew, that this was our Papa and he too knew we were his children. Although we look nothing alike, he showered us with love and affection just like any father would.
Papa always said that unlike most of our species, we were bigger and stronger. I took pride in that that we were better than the rest. It was that pride that resulted in many quarrels between me and my brother Artom.
We were eager to receive our Papa's praise and we host many bets and challenge each other in whatever way we can. Most of these challenges were usually harmless, but the one that strained our relationship was I time I called him a "dumb idiot ".
My brother was a muscle-headed bird, he was a bird that would break the locked door to enter the house instead of simply unlocking it and he was physically more gifted than me.
I would like to call myself an intellectual bird and I pride myself on being intelligent. It was that pride that caused me to look down on my brother when he could not quickly learn Russian.
It was then Papa taught us an important lesson. People are different, everyone is different from one another. Some are better than others at something, which also implies in our family.
" Family " is what we are. Papa said as a family we must cover each other's weaknesses, if someone is weak at something, we must help them instead of looking down on them and we must depend on each other. I know that Papa and Artom will protect me and I will do the same for both of them.
The first year, was quite normal if you ask me. The rotting people or the Undead as Papa calls them, were average at best and no strong opponents have dared to come near our home till now.
The only problem that we faced was when winter arrived, it was fun to see those white stuff fall from the sky, but it was very very very cold! And why are Artom and Papa taking it as if it's nothing?
I'm like it's freezing cold out there, you could get cold or something.
Papa was busy, clearing the white stuff from the roof, that it might cause our roof to collapse. That was another good thing about not liking the white stuff now called Snow( Thank you Papa for the new word. )
Food was not a problem, we had hoarded enough food to last the whole winter without hunting.
When it comes to hunting, Artom and I are at the same level I guess. We are supposed to bring at least one fish each or a rabbit. Papa was first reluctant to allow us to hunt, saying that we were too young for that. But we persisted and reasoned that we also wanted to contribute something to the family.
So Papa trained us how to hunt, it started small with us assisting him to pick up the fish he shot from his bow and dropped on his hand. He does his mist magic thing and it would kill the fish.
I asked why he does that and he responded that it would help us get stronger in the future. I have no idea how would that help us in the future... maybe the meat from the fish would help us grow big and strong like Papa.
Well, life was mundane if you ask me, I was really excited to grow up. Papa said he gave us a power each and after a year or so, we would get that power. But it needed us to eat a lot of meat, well it's a win for me! Eat meat every day and get a power after a year, how good is that!
It would also be fun if I have a human body like Papa's, it had so much more use than my bird body. Sure I can fly with my wings, but- I just had an idea! What if I had a human body and wings! that would be awesome!
But before that could be under consideration, We have to wait for another year.

{ One year Later }
{ Nikolai POV }
Things have been really mundane for the past two years. No stronger zombies to fight, which is good in a sense as Artom and Igor won't have to get in danger.
You might ask why we have not left this forest yet. It's been two fucking years! And I understand what you mean.
But it's not like we have tried to leave the forest. Remember when I said that there are dangerous beasts in the forest. I really meant that.
Three months ago, we tried to hunt past our usual hunting grounds. We are at least three kilometres away from the cabin and it was then we met one of the first of the dangerous beast in the forest.
ROAR!!!
It was a Dragon. A motherfucking DRAGON!!!
Ugh... Correction, it was an undead dragon and it was during the daytime. I thought the Undead and the Sun are not buddy-buddy with each other, but this Dragon was not giving the Sun a single fuck as it was casually gliding in the air.
Not to mention, it could breathe fucking fire!!! If it was not for my fast legs and Artom and Igor being able to fly, we would be roasted that day.
Call me a paranoid person or a coward, but if those kinds of things are out there in the forest, I'll happily stay here in the cabin for a few more years, that is if my children are safe.
And here I slept on my bed, after another usual day. I can't believe it's been two years since I worked up inside this cabin. Sure it was boring at times, but Artom and Igor kept me company.
[ COUGH! ]
I almost forgot about you Mr. Creepy Voice inside in my head. I chuckled as I heard it huff at my sarcastic comment.
" Artom! Igor! go and sleep now. It's already midnight. " It was tough to raise kids I learned, as you have to steer them to the right path when they misbehave, teach that family is everything and most importantly I must be a role model for them.
I scratched the goatee on my chin that have became more thick than it was supposed to be. The passive ORCISH PHYSIQUE was really working as it has intended.
I found that despite being sixteen, I looked like a guy in his twenties. No doubt I look very manly which I really like.
YAWN!
Well, it's time to sleep.
" Good night. " I said, which was followed by two " Good night Papa. "
Time to sleep.

" PAPA! LOOK! " I heard Artom's and Igor's voices, I kinda understand Artom being up early, but Igor is not really a morning bird.
" PAPA! LOOK! LOOK! " they continued, not seeing that my eyes were still shut. I hesitantly got up and rubbed my eyes. What got them so excited so early in the morning?
" What happened? Did you break anything? " I asked. But they responded by saying, " Wake up Papa! Look at us! we have changed! "
" What do you mean you have changed? " It was then that my eyes went wide at the sight in front of me.
There stood two naked children, with pale skin, blue eyes and dark hair. They look so identical that they could be twins, scratch that... These two were definitely twins.
They wore proud grins, but something was off... Why do they feel kinda familiar...
" Artom? Igor? " I asked pointing at the two naked children.
