"Quite an interesting reaction, especially the ritual with that book." Calliope remarked. They were a few minutes down the road, with no sign of the thieves Max talked about. But this silent march gave Colton plenty of time to think on what he just saw, and the voice in his head.
'Bizarre, these people and this god or incarnate thing are unique to these worlds. Wonder why they aren't in ours?' He asked himself.
Further down the road, they encountered more soldiers and civilians, walking by without even a glance at the wardens.
"Can't believe they endowed us with the grace of the incarnate!" Max smiled.
"Indeed…" Colton awkwardly replied.
"You sound confused, or at least not interested." Max became suspicious, squinting his eyes at Colton.
"No no, I'm just more focused on bringing these criminals to judgement."
