The wolf continued to bite down on her arm, causing her to scream and slash at it with her sword. After a few seconds the wolf stopped moving, vanishing without a trace. But in front of her, other wolves began to approach.
A few lunged at her, biting violently on different parts of her body, quickly overwhelming her.
From above, Marcus jumped down with his sword, slashing violently at the wolves to move away from the injured Celestine. Taking out many before grabbing her and climbing back up.
"You alright?" He asked, managing to bring both of them back to the branches.
"Yeah, I'm fine, don't worry about me. I don't want to inconvenience Clarissa with my injuries." She responded in a meek tone.
To the frustration and terror of Colton and Calliope, their problems weren't over yet. The smaller wolves began jumping higher, some managing to reach the branches.
