At the bottom, the team arrived in a large hallway with a mix of smooth stone and metal to support the place. The metal looked eerily like chains, only adding to this place's obsession with control.
"They say back then that this cathedral was only for weapons, but we repurposed it to now also house our worship for control." The follower explained, happy and joyful while leading the team down the torch lit hall.
Calliope and Colton stuck close together, not wanting to leave each other's side and risk getting killed or lost in this unfamiliar and creepy place.
As they got farther from the stairs, the look of the tunnel slowly began to change. It looked less withered, as if cleaned or more maintained. Ropes and chains hung from above while writings were drawn on the walls in an elegant style, but still not readable to Colton.
