The sun was no doubt bright but no matter how hard I try, I can't move. There she is, lips quivering as tears fall down in succession from her eyes that I cannot see. I seem to be lying in her lap, the forest without sound watching over us. When I closed my eyes, there was a hot, wet sensation on my lips and into my mouth.

My eyes opened for the last time, staring at a black butterfly with red stripes hovering away from my point of view. Then I began to wonder in my mind, "If souls have gender, what is mine?"
