In the reign of King Lucas Arthur who was the king of the Wyvern Kingdom, practicing of magic, spells and cultivation was the foundation and the pillar of his kingdom. If not for that, they would have been lost in the track of time a longtime ago. He made his kingdom the strongest among the other kingdoms that were in the Baltis Continent because of he having a lot of expert cultivators and mages in his kingdom.
One faithful night, King Lucas went to see his wife in the palace's garden where they usually meet. "My king, I have a good news that I want to share with you. And I don't wanna see you going around jumping or making noise in the palace after I tell you." "Milady, it depends on the good news you got to tell me." Lucas said. "Okay the thing is that errr…." "Why are you doing this to me Rose? Lucas asked. Just tell me the good news you have so that I will know if it calls for a celebration or not." "I will tell you if only you guess it correctly". Rose said with a cunning smile. "Okay I will try but you have to promise me that you are gonna explain everything to me clearly if I guess it correctly. Promise?" "Okay I promise." Rose answered "I think it's about your brother's marriage or he being able to raise his position from a Count to a Duke.
I'm I right?." Lucas asked
"Oh Gosh!" She exclaimed. "I didn't know that my husband who is the strongest and greatest king on this land to be such a dumb." She said "But you told me to guess and I'm trying my best to do it so why then do you call me a dumb?" Lucas asked. "Why do you think that I will be telling you something that you already know Lucas and besides, you were the one who promoted him for his good works." Said Rose to Lucas "I guess she is right this time". Lucas murmured softly.
Accidentally, Rose heard what Lucas said undertone.
"When was heard what Lucas said undertone, she became furious. Who said I'm only right this time? I've been right and I will always be right." Rose declared. "Hahaha that's my Rose." Lucas thought his wife was somehow cute when she was angry. "By the way good night Lucas cause I have a long day tomorrow and since you are not taking me serious, I'm going." "Can you please tell me the good news before you go to bed?" He tried to let Rose tell him the good news but seems she didn't want to tell him anymore. "Nope." She said as she stood up from the lover's bench in the garden and walked towards her personal palace.
"Please Rose can you let me have one more guess?" Rose continued to walk as if she didn't hear what he said.
Lucas began to crack his brain to guess what his wife wanted to tell him
"Are you pregnant?" Lucan shouted from the back.
The moment Rose heard what Lucas said, she stopped midway and turned her back with a smile on her face.
And when Lucas saw the smile on his wife's delicate face, he already knew what the answer was. He ran to his to his wife as he hugged her with love.
"Oh God! I'm gonna be a father…" Exclaimed Lucas "Scott, Philip, Martin prepare for a grand celebration tomorrow. And tell the citizens the their taxes has been reduced by 40% for half a year. Also make sure to send invitations to the other three kingdoms of this land." Lucas said with joy in his voice.
"Yes your Majesty." These three men who were the generals of the kingdom said as the bowed and left to implement the task given to them. Rose stood there silently as she watched her husband behaving like a child who has just received his or her birthday present.
"Didn't I tell you not to go around jumping or making noise in the palace?" Rose asked
"But it wasn't you who told me. It was all thanks to my accurate guessing ability that help me to know that you are pregnant without you telling me. So I have all the right to make noise." Lucas said childishly
"Oh is that so?" Rose asked
Lucas didn't know how to answer his wife because he knew that if he continues to say that it was by his accurate guessing ability that made him know, his wife will be angry and if he says no, it will mean that his wife will be right as she always says she is.
"If you can't answer me then good night. And don't think of coming to my room cause I will be cultivating tonight. And I have to breakthrough to the Mid Meridian Forging Realm this month in order for me to stand a chance when having a spar with you." Rose said with determination
After saying that, she went off leaving Lucas in a shocked state."
"How is she catching up with me so soon?" He asked himself
The Next Morning.
The Wyvern Kingdom was having a blissful atmosphere. The kingdom had turn to Nirvana due to the decoration and how the Kingdom was beautified.
Somewhere in the Assar Kingdom which was one of the kingdoms on the land, a messenger was sent by the King of Assar to deliver a message to Morgana Greenwich who was the most powerful witch in the kingdom.
"Lady Greenwich, his majesty King Alfred has a message for you." Said the messenger
"And what is exactly does the king wants from this poor and desolate woman?" She asked with a devilish smile on her face.
"The king wants you to cast one of your spells or curse on the Queen Rose Wright of the Wyvern Kingdom and her unborn child that will make the child die few weeks after it's birth." The messenger said
"And what does the king have in exchange for my precious spell?" Morgana asked
"He promised that he will give all the blood essence that you will need for your breakthrough." Said the messenger
"Then I guess I have no reason to refuse this offer." A devilish smile appeared on her face.
Back To The Palace Of The Wyvern Kingdom
"Your highness, all the preparations has been made as you wished. Said Scott in a hurry
Good, good, good. You've done well boys and remind everybody that the celebration will start at 7:00 am." Lucas said happily
When it was 7:00 am, the citizens who were residing in the Capital city of the Wyvern kingdom could see a lot of carriages, horses with horse riders and cultivators on their mounts matching towards the city gate.
King Lucas personally stood in front of the ballrooms' gate to receive the kings of the other three kingdoms on the land.
"I welcome all the great kings of this land to my Kingdom.
King Alfred of the Assar Kingdom,
King Walker of the Narnia Kingdom,
And King Edwin of the Iceland Kingdom.
You are all welcome to my humble and peaceful kingdom. The only kingdom on this land that has a Peak Meridian Forging Realm expert as their king. And also the best kingdom with abundant Qi or natural essence that boost it's people's cultivation."
King Lucas intentionally said that just to irritate King Alfred of the Assar kingdom.
The other two kings knew the tight competition that was between the Wyvern and the Assar Kingdom.
King Lucas was trying to secure his position or title as the strongest king or the strongest kingdom on the land whiles King Alfred was trying to over throne him and take that title.
After a few minutes later, all the invited guests were all present in the ballroom.
"My Queen, won't you get ready for the celebration?
The celebration has already started but you are here not prepared. "Beatrice the personal maid of Rose cried out.
"I don't know why Lucas made all this feast just to celebrate our unborn child who we don't even know what will happen to him or her before it's born."
"Why are you saying that Milady?" Beatrice asked
"I'm having a feeling that something bad is gonna happen." Rose said with a worried face.
"Just forget all these things and enjoy your day. And you know that the king his majesty would loose his face if his queen is not present at the function." Beatrice said these to try and convince Rose to go.
"Okay okay I understand Beatrice. Go get my dress, jewels and perfume to set me up."
At The Ballroom
"So isn't the Queen of the Wyvern Kingdom gonna come to her own function?" King Alfred asked in a mockery tone.
The guests started to murmur in low voice.
"Isn't the queen gonna come?"
"Is it that King Lucas is playing a prank on us for no reason?"
"Or do you think that the queen is lying about her pregnancy?"
All sort of questions were raised by the guests in the ballroom.
King Lucas still remained calm in spite of what the people were saying. He knew that his wife will not make him loose face in front of his rival kings.
"Beware!!
Her Majesty Queen Rose Wright Arthur is arriving!!"
The moment the men in the ballroom saw how beautiful and stunning Rose was looking, they immediately bowed to acknowledge her beauty and authority. Most of the women glanced at her with envy and hate whiles others their respect and and admiration to her.
Those who were mocking King Lucas all made a fool out of theirselves especially King Alfred.
King Alfred smiled cunningly because he knew that Lucas' unborn child was going to be doomed because Morgana will surely complete the task.
After the celebration ended, all the guests went to their various kingdoms or settlements.
The only person that didn't leave was Morgana who was there to curse the queen and her unborn child.
She disguised herself as one of the assigned maids taking care of the queen.
She sneaked into the queen's room that night when she was asleep.
Morgana threw a Daze Sleeping Powder on the Rose in order for the queen not to wake up even is she is slapped a thousand times on her face, she will not wake up for the next eight hours,
