Chereads / Bitter Blood Tears / Author's Note 4/14/23

Author's Note 4/14/23

Have you ever heard this song: 缘起 - 罗云熙 OST. And The Winner Is Love "月上重火".

Leo Luo sings this song beautifully. It is sadly haunting. When I heard this song, I conceived this story. That was about 2 years ago. However, I always felt the story was missing something. Until recently, I started watching the drama "Till the End of the Moon," starring Leo Luo and Bai Lu, did I realize what was missing from my original story. I suppose I treated Tangyu Sanjun as a decoration to move the story forward, but didn't give him enough credit for his role in the entire story. So, I decided to change his character a little to make him take more of an active role rather than a minor role. So, I have to rewrite parts of the story.

If the story is updating too slowly, it's because of this.

Like all stories where the protagonist returns to the past, Guwu Lin encounters hardships and experiences growth, but I think what sets this story apart from the others I have written is that . . .

Whoops! Almost gave away the ending. No spoilers here.

This story isn't about tragic romance or star-crossed lovers. It's mainly about the Female Lead (FL) growing up. You can say it's a coming-of-age story where she realizes what she thought was true from her childhood is not at all what she remembered. Her faulty memory and lack of deep knowledge about the world around her is what ultimately caused her to destroy herself and the devil world, as reflected in the first few chapters.

[No matter what, even a weed deserves to live.]

The romance actually doesn't come until much later. And why wouldn't it when our ML is currently only eight-years-old. (If things go as planned, it won't be until somewhere after chapter 50 where he grows up.)

Also, a word on the God of the World (GOW). He may seem like a jerk, but in fact he is disappointed in his creations. We'll get to understand him as the story unfolds. And originally, I had planned on GOW and FL forming a CP, but later, I thought it was better to let her be with Tangyu Sanjun, especially now that he takes more of an active role in the story.

Finally, I'll also explain the character names in this story in another post.
