His moves were clumsy, but that is all he could right now.
The sharp edge of the rock mangled the flesh and he finally managed to get a decent portion out of it. Along with that portion, Viswa also grabbed one of the bones that was broken by the fox earlier.
He walked back as far away from this place as possible and sat down on the ground. He is feeling a little thirsty, but there is not a single water source in sight
Even if there is, Viswa is not daring enough to go and test his luck.
Water sources often attracted animals around them.
He could only look around to see if he can find an alternative. But there is none for now.
He looked hesitant at the meat. If someone is dehydrated, it is not a good thing to eat directly. The water is required for the cells to function properly. But right now, he doesn't have luxury to do that.
He gulped and asked Mr. Guide.
"Mr. Guide. I don't have a fire right now and I cannot even find water. If I eat this raw meat, would I be able to digest it properly with the exchange of Karma points?"
[Sure. It will cost five Karma points. You wouldn't die and you will also gain some energy.]
Viswa was dumbfounded. Because three Karma points is way too expensive.
[I can't be bothered to explain the details to you. Take it or leave it.]
Mr. Guide went silent mode again.
Viswa gritted his teeth and chewed the meat.
As soon as he put it in his mouth, he got a notification.
[Flesh of Partial Demonic Beast Consumed. Detected Corrosive Demonic energyX 0.1 Unit
Refine the Demonic flesh and Demonic energy into Spiritual energy
1 Unit Costs 5 Karma Points.
Do you want to proceed?]
Viswa understood why it was expensive immediately. But that didn't hold his attention at the moment. He is focused on the words, Demonic Beast and Corrosive Demonic energy.
He looked at the flesh in his hands. It looked completely normal. He didn't even see or observe any abnormalities.
But he didn't have enough energy to deal with this. He could only eat the rest of the meat.
After around half an hour.
Viswa finally felt a bit better. It seemed like the meat is the catalyst he needed. He consumed five Karma points to get one unit of energy. It is just one unit, but after the one unit, the body finally started actively recovering the spiritual energy.
He could now walk without the stick.
He could even feel some strength within.
He opened his system to check how he is doing right now.

He entered a recovering state. But he heaved a sigh of relief. The recovery rate is something he could bear for now. He checked his surroundings one more time, before he sat back and started grinding the bone on a rock.
For now, there is no threat around him, so he could feel at ease. But the same couldn't be said in the near future. Since he is going to recover now, he might as well use this time to do this.
Time passed slowly as Viswa spent his time grinding the bone into a bone knife before picking up another rock to make it sharp as well.
It is better to have as many weapons at hand as possible.
After around three hours later, Viswa noticed that his energy recovery speed has increased by a large margin. He almost felt as strong as he used to be. This gave him much more confidence to move around.
The first thing he did it, hold the rock and the bone knife to go back to the deer's corpse.
When he went there, he saw something that made his skin crawl a bit.
A rabbit is standing there near the deer's corpse. Just like every other beast, the rabbit is unusually big. But that is not even the most unusual part. As he watched, the rabbit started eating the remaining flesh on the deer's corpse.
Viswa was stunned.
He hasn't seen a rabbit eat meat, even in this world. This is definitely the first.
He looked at it from a far like that and keenly observed.
Soon, he noticed something. The eyes of the rabbit are slightly glowing with red color.
The similar thing he observed in the eyes of the fox that killed this deer before. He frowned as he drew a few speculations from it. After some thought, he decided to make his move. He took a stance and with all of his strength, he threw the rock at the rabbit.
*SWOOSH*
The rock moved like a flash. The rabbit managed to react in time and hopped. But it was too late, the rock which was initially aimed at the head, barely missed and hit the rabbit on its gut.
The sharp edge of the rock which Viswa put so much effort in came in handy.
The rabbit was stuck and it started bleeding profusely. It just laid down on the ground as it slowly bled out. Viswa checked the surroundings a bit and moved forward carefully.
He used the bone knife to finish off the rabbit.
A notification prompted immediately.
[YOU HAVE KILLED A PARTIALLY DEMONIC RABBIT AND ENDED ITS LIFE BEFORE ITS DESTINED TIME. YOU HAVE OBTAINED 35 KARMA POINTS.]
Viswa was stunned when he saw the number of Karma points he got from this. This is not a small number. And at that moment, a vision appeared in his head.
The Rabbit is not in the wild anymore. It is running around in the middle of a street and it lunged on to a child and bit the child's neck, killing him in one move, then it started doing the same with the adults as it feasted on corpse after another.
Viswa opened his eyes and looked at the rabbit under his bone knife.
It looked weird. But it didn't look as menacing as he saw in the vision. He gulped nervously. But gritted his teeth and proceeded further.
He bled the rabbit out completely, skinned it and the moved on the deer's corpse. He destroyed skinned the rest of the deer. Not for the meat, it has already been a long time and he could see some blackness all over the flesh.
He deboned the deer and carried all of the bones along with the rabbit meat and the fur.
He walked to the temporary place he is staying in.
Then he went on to make a fire with the bow drill and finally started cooking the rabbit. Right now, his whole body is dry with the blood and the sand that was stuck is not coming off.
He needs to clean himself as soon as possible.
He cooked the rabbit thoroughly while sharpening a bone and feasted on it.
He lost 15 Karma points while doing so, but recovered three units of his energy. His Physical recover has also increased by a large margin.
Then he speculated on the vision he saw. He didn't know how this rabbit ended up in the streets of a human establishment. After all, no matter how he looked around, this is way too deep inside the forest.
It wouldn't be easy or normal for a rabbit to make that far.
No matter what he thought, he couldn't find any solution. It is already weird that there is not much beasts' activity this deep inside the forest.
When he walked around, he noticed that the forest is especially quite. It wouldn't happen in a normal scenario. He couldn't even see any insects or even mosquitoes.
Except for the deer, the fox and the rabbit, he didn't see any other activity.
He rested enough and finally Viswa decided to do a little investigation. He is not counting on anyone coming to rescue him. Even if there are people who are concerned about him, they would have to know where he is to come and rescue him.
It is better to try and save himself and survive first.
First order of business, he decided to climb the massive tree nearby. It gives him a high vantage point to check out the surroundings.
It didn't take much effort for him to do that. He even felt a bit warmed up. After climbing the tree, he finally saw some light. He popped his head out of those thick branches and tried to get a peek at the surroundings
But he sighed as he took a look.
All he could see is a vast sea of trees. There is nothing else in sight. He could see some faint shadow of mountains far far away, but that is it.
