Chapter 6 - Chapter 5

The Vampire Diaries

Season 3: Episode 4

Disturbing Behavior

Everyone had just taken a few minutes to get up and stretch their legs and get a snack. When they were all situated in their seats once again the screen turned on.

The first thing everyone sees is Klaus lounging on a long chair with a glass being filled with champagne. Stefan can then be seen taking a drink from his own glass. From behind some curtains both men hear Rebekah say, "There has to be more to this dress." Without looking up Klaus responds to his sister. "There's not." Rebekah comes out in a short black dress with a skin colored material on the inside making it look like she wasn't wearing any undergarments. With her hands splayed out at her sides she says, "So women in the 21st century dress like prostitutes, then?" Klaus and Stefan share a look before rightfully not saying a word and going back to their drinks. Rebekah keeps talking when the men don't say anything. "You know, I got dirty looks for wearing trousers." Klaus leans his head back on his chair before saying, "You wore trousers so women today could wear nothing."

Up until now Åse hadn't been seen. That changed though when she walked out from behind another section of curtains in her own dress. She also wore a short black dress, but hers was long-sleeved, had a plunging neckline that revealed her cleavage, and left little to no imagination with how it clung to her curves in all the right places. Klaus had set his champagne glass down as he watched his wife walk out. Åse looked to Rebekah as she slowly walked forward. "Trousers were always more comfortable than those dresses we had to wear, Rebekah. You know, with the less material you can move more freely. I'd have thought you'd be happy." As she passed by the blonde with a teasing smirk she made her way to Klaus' lap. Åse sat sideways with her head resting on Klaus' left shoulder and leaned in to whisper in his ear. "Like what you see?" Klaus started running his right hand up and down her thigh as he turned to face her. In a low husky voice he says, "Oh, I more than like it, love." Åse pressed a kiss right on the pulse point of his neck before whispering again. "Good, because you may be taking it off later." Just to tease her husband that much more she pressed herself down on his lap before getting up and strutting back into the changing room. As she left she could hear his slight groan because of her teasing.

On the Originals side of the room Åse was smirking to herself after watching what she did on screen. Klaus saw this but chose not to do anything. He decided that he would let her have her fun for now.

Once Åse was back in the changing room Rebekah spoke up again. "And what is this music, it sounds like a cable car accident." Klaus looks to Stefan so he can answer this time. Trying to find the right words Stefan says, "It's dance music." With an almost disbelieving look Rebekah asks, "People dance to this?" Stefan can only hum in agreement because honestly he doesn't understand the appeal either.

Klaus was finally getting fed up with being in a clothing store and impatiently asks, "Are we done?" Rebekah steps closer to her brother and Stefan as she answers him with another question. "And why are you so grumpy?" Klaus lets out a sigh before responding. "I needed one thing from you for my witch to find out why my hybrids were dying. One thing. Your necklace. And you lost it." Åse walks back out of the changing room still in her dress as Rebekah says, "I didn't lose it. It's just been missing for 90 years." Åse watches Stefan as he picks up another glass of champagne. She knows that he has the knowledge about where the necklace is. She's just wondering if he'll tell them or not.

Rebekah doesn't give anyone else time to speak though because she turns to Stefan and asks, "So, what do you think?" The blonde Original spins from side-to-side showing off the dress she picked out. Stefan hesitates to answer as he furrows his brows in contemplation. Rebekah sees this and speaks up before he can. "You don't like it." Stefan quickly meets her eyes as he suddenly finds his answer. "No, no, I do. I do like it. I just think it's a little flashy for something to wear on a normal basis." Åse, who was now standing behind Klaus leaning on the back of his chair, stood there trying not to laugh at the somewhat scared expression that had morphed onto Stefan's face. Rebekah looked pleased with his honest opinion. "I can always tell when you're lying, Stefan. So, I'm glad that you're not." Stefan smiled at her and watched as she walked away and back into the changing room.

Åse leaned down and rested her forearms on the back of Klaus' chair to whisper in his ear. "I'm gonna get some fresh air. I'm also taking Stefan with me. I'll get an answer about that bloody necklace." Klaus nodded his head before turning slightly to the left and meeting his wife's gaze. They looked at each other for a few seconds with fond smiles on their faces. Soon enough Åse leaned in and gave Klaus a quick two kisses on the lips before standing up straight. Turning to looking at Stefan she motioned with one of her hands as she said, "Come on, Ripper. We're gonna take a walk." Even if Stefan was getting his old personality back he still knew not to question Åse, so he set his champagne down and walked with her out of the store.

The two vampires walked out of the store at a normal pace. They watched around them before Åse nodded her head across the street. It was silent as the two walked, but Stefan knew that something would come up eventually. After a few turns that Stefan saw as unnecessary, Åse stopped at a street corner that seemed to be more populated. Confused, Stefan furrowed his brows and asked, "Why'd we stop here? There's people everywhere." Åse didn't look at him as she said, "That's exactly the point, Stefan. In areas with more people they are less likely to pay attention to us because they're too busy dealing with getting through everyone else. The noise also happens to help distract from people following you and trying to listen in on your conversation." That caused Stefan to start looking around trying to see if he recognized anyone around them. Åse rolled her eyes before hitting the younger vampire in the bicep. "You don't need to be so obvious. Besides I already know who it is." "Who?" As if it was obvious Åse finally turned to Stefan and with slight disgust lacing her tone she said, "Katerina Petrova." With his own eye roll Stefan gave a quiet "Of course."

Åse moved to lean up against a nearby lamppost as she finally got to the point of why she brought Stefan with her. Using a more serious tone she looked Stefan right in the eye, but not compelling him, and spoke up once again. "Speaking of doppelgängers," she saw Stefan tense just slightly and tilted her head to the right in intrigue. "Do you have anything you want to tell me?" The Ripper breathed out a sigh but said, "You already know what I'm gonna say." Åse nodded just slightly in conformation of this. "That may be true, but you need to earn your loyalty back. It will not come willingly, especially from me. So, what do you know?"

Klaus reached out and gave his wife a gentle squeeze on one of her hands. He knew that the real reason she was interrogating Stefan was to make sure he would tell the truth and not betray them. It brought a warmth to his chest that could only be caused by her.

Stefan moved so that he was standing across from Åse and looking her right in the eye as he spoke. "The necklace you all want is around Elena's neck. I picked it up off the floor after Rebekah lost it and you all compelled me. I had it with me until I gave it to Elena. When her and Damon were in Chicago she was still wearing it." Knowing that he was telling the truth Åse just nodded at him. She hears her phone that she was holding go off so she held it up to check it. Afterwards she looked to Stefan and said, "Klaus and Rebekah headed back to Gloria's bar. Let's go." Stefan had to jog to catch up with Åse's fast pace. He was confused at why she just brushed his information off. Yes, he knew that she already had the information, but the complications of it seemed like nothing to her. "Isn't Klaus gonna be upset with the new information? What about Rebekah?" Åse huffed as she responded. "Leave Klaus to me. Rebekah, on the other hand, will just have to deal with it." Not wanting to question her any more Stefan stayed quiet the rest of the way back to Gloria's.

When Åse and Stefan walked back into the bar they saw Gloria sitting at a long table with a large book under her hands and a dozen or so candles lit around her. Klaus and Rebekah could be seen at the bar. Rebekah on the bar top itself sitting cross legged and Klaus on a barstool with a drink in hand. Åse quickly made her way in front of Klaus and stood between his legs. They didn't say anything but when she saw his questioning gaze she merely nodded her head. He let a small smile slip and pulled his wife in by the hips for a quick kiss.

Stefan looked over at Gloria and asked, "What's she doing?" Wanting to get back at the witch Åse smirked as she said, "She's failing." Without opening her eyes Gloria retorted, "Hard to find something when you don't have anything to go on." Åse just rolled her eyes and mumbled, "Maybe for you." She was quiet so only Klaus heard her, and when he did he leaned down and nipped at the pulse point on her neck. Turning just enough to meet his lust filled gaze, Åse looked at her husband with half lidded eyes. She gave him a lingering kiss before stepping away knowing that she had to get out of the bar as soon as possible. She walked forward a couple steps before motioning back to Rebekah and said, "So use, Rebekah. She only wore it for a 1000 years." Rebekah moved to sit on the table Gloria was working at as the witch responded. "At least you can offer a solution." "All right, give me your hand, sweetheart." A few minutes went by before Gloria said a quick, "I can sense something." Another minute of chanting went by before Gloria let go of Rebekah's hand and said, "I found it."

Rebekah leveled the witch with an intense look in her eyes. "So where is it?" "It doesn't work like that, doll. I get images. There's a girl with her friends." "Yes, a dead girl with dead friends, if I don't get my necklace back." Åse turned her head to the side to hide the smirk working it's way onto her face and the bubble of laughter trying to come out. Gloria kept talking to inform the room. "I have to dive back in and get the details." Klaus left his seat at the bar and walked to the side of Gloria's table. "So dive." "I need more time." Klaus had leaned his hands on the edge of the table which seemed to irritate the witch. "And space. Look, you're hashing my juju." " We can wait." "I'm sure you can. But that's not what I asked." Åse saw Stefan about to step forward to try and calm Klaus. She just held a hand up for him to stop and he held his own hands up in surrender. Åse made her way over to Klaus so that she was standing by his side. She leaned into him just slightly as she said, "We can come back later. I'm hungry anyway." Before she started to walk away though she leaned down to whisper in his ear so that no one else heard her. "I'm also almost positive that I told you that you'd get to take this dress off earlier. Now seems like a perfect time." Åse took all of two steps away before she was picked up and thrown over Klaus' shoulder. Everyone else was surprised by the action, but Åse looked relaxed as ever with a knowing smirk resting on her lips.

Back in the room Åse and Klaus could only laugh quietly at their on-screen selves. Even after a thousand years they were still just as crazy about one another as when they first got together.

The scene changed to show the three Originals and Stefan all feeding on different people. Speaking up from her place on top of a wooden crate Rebekah says, "My girl's dead. I'm bored." Klaus, completely ignoring his sisters complaint pulls away from his meal and whispers to his wife who is sitting next to him. "You weren't kidding about being hungry." Åse pulls away from her dead persons neck for just a second so she can say, "It's been a long day."

Stefan had just finished with his person as he not so gently laid her on the ground. Standing up he says, "I need to go." When the Ripper was gone Rebekah asked, "Where's he going?" Seeing that his wife was finishing up with her person Klaus answered. "To write a name on a wall. It's a long story." Noticing Rebekah's furrowed brows Åse tossed her dead person on the ground and spoke as she wiped her mouth clean. "It's a Ripper thing, Rebekah." The blonde Original nodded her head with a look of realization on her face. After a few seconds though she looks questioningly at her sister-in-law. Klaus had joined his wife in standing and was behind her holding her waist as Åse said, "If your going to ask something just ask, Rebekah." The girl nodded to herself before asking, "I get that Stefan writes his victims names down, but why don't you?" Åse just let out a sigh as Klaus moved to hold her shoulders. Not looking at Rebekah she says, "That is only specific to Stefan and what his inner Ripper chose to do. Me, on the other hand, I just rip through people until the only thing covering me is blood." With that Åse turned away and took Klaus' hand that was offered to her.

The Mystic Falls side of the room was stunned. Not only have they learned that Åse is a hybrid, not that they know what kind, but that she is also a Ripper. Stefan came to his senses first and looked over to find Åse already looking back at him. She raised an eyebrow in question knowing that he was going to ask something. The younger vampire cleared his throat, which caught the attention of the room, and then asked, "So your a Ripper too?" Åse held on to Klaus' hand as she responded. "I am. The Original Ripper, you could call me." No one knew how to relieve the tension that had been created in the room. Luckily, Kol came to the rescue. He turned in his seat to look at Åse with a mixture of a smirk and smile on his face. "It's part of the reason dear Åse and I get along so well." The woman could only chuckle at the expression on her brother-in-laws face.

The scene changed again to show Stefan walking out of the old apartment building he used to live in. He truly had gone back there to write a name on a wall. However, he was not going to go straight back to the warehouse to the Originals. In all honesty he wanted to prove himself to the Originals, meaning Åse and Klaus, so that he could have at least some of their trust back.

Now he was walking back into Gloria's bar. The witch didn't know that Åse, and consequently Klaus, already knew where the necklace was. He was walking back into the bar acting as if he was holding this information hostage from the Originals to see if he could get anymore information from the witch.

Gloria was cleaning up when she stopped in her tracks for only a second. "There you are." Walking casually down a small set of stairs Stefan says, "Thought you were resting." From behind the bar Gloria looks into the vampires eyes saying, "Well, now we both have a secret." "What did you see?" Leaning her forearms on the bar top Gloria says, "It's what I heard that's interesting." Stefan moved to pour himself a drink as Gloria kept talking. "You know, the girls with the necklace, they were talking about you." "Yet you didn't tell Klaus. Why?" Gloria moved backwards as she started cleaning up again. "Because I wouldn't help that hybrid half-breed with anything."

Åse was immediately set on edge. Her eyes were glowing a bright red and the veins under her eyes had sprouted up onto her face. While Klaus was affected by the words against him they weren't the worst he had ever heard, and when he saw that his wife was instantly ready to defend him it was like they were never even said. He slid an arm around her shoulders and brought her close so he could kiss her temple. Slowly Åse calmed down enough to where she didn't look like she would jump at the screen to kill the witch right then and there.

"The necklace is a talisman from the Original Witch herself. I want it." Stefan simply shrugged as he said, "Well, I'm sorry, I can't help you." Stefan had taken a couple steps away and Gloria slightly raised her voice as she said, "Don't be difficult." The vampires steps slowed but he didn't stop moving. Trying a different angle Gloria said, "I'd hate to have to tell Klaus what a liar his sidekick is. There's no telling what he'd let his freak of a wife do to you."

With the insult aimed at Åse there was reactions from most of the Originals. Åse herself was livid along with Klaus. Kol looked like he would murder the witch right at that moment. Elijah and Rebekah had expressions of offense like they were just the ones who had been insulted. Finn was the outlier. His face didn't change much but if you looked in his eyes you could see that he was upset that someone close to him had been insulted.

If there wasn't already enough fuel for the fire Elena had decided to open her big mouth. "At least someone understands. I mean she's a vampire who kills without thought, a hybrid of some kind, and now we know that she's a Ripper too. How much more of a freak could you get?" Everyone in the room had turned deadly silent. Even those on the Mystic Falls side looked at Elena like she was crazy. They hadn't been shown too much of Åse in her vampire element, but they knew of her reputation just by the name "Gravedigger." They knew not to fuck with her.

The Originals all had varying degrees of anger on their faces. Even Finn had gotten more upset by the doppelgängers comment. While Elijah and Rebekah were pissed off they knew they had to hold it at least somewhat together because they had to watch out for Kol. The second youngest Original could pounce when they least expected it so they needed to keep a close eye on him. Åse and Klaus were a different story entirely. They both sat in their seats stewing in silent anger. When they go silent it is a surprise for anyone watching. They could threaten you endlessly or kill you without blinking an eye. The chances of what they would do were the same as flipping a coin.

This time, just as Klaus was going to stand up, Åse set a gentle hand on his forearm. They locked eyes for just a second or two before Åse was the one moving to stand. For the second time she walked over to stand in front of the doppelgänger. Outwardly Elena tried to look as if she wasn't scared. That didn't work though because as soon as Åse looked in her eyes she saw the scared little girl the doppelgänger really was. The Original had a deadly smirk resting on her face as she licked her lips. She leaned down with her arms caging the girl in so that she was eye level with Elena. In a dangerous whisper Åse spoke with nothing but malice towards the doppelgänger. "If you think you can speak about me like that you are disastrously wrong." Like a snake striking at their prey Åse had grabbed Elena's face in her left hand. As her nails started to dig into her face she kept talking. "Most would not still be alive after speaking that way, but I want you to live. I want you to be alive when your entire life goes to shit before your eyes. I want you to be able to watch as everyone around you either leaves you because they realize how terrible you really are or die trying to save you. I only want you to know one feeling. Pain." At this point Elena had tears rolling down her face that mixed with the small drops of blood that had been made by the small punctures by Åse's nails. It made Åse laugh. Reverberating through the room was a wicked laugh that now matched the cold-blooded expression on Åse's face. With a sadistic smirk now resting on her lips Åse let her vampire face come out. In that same deadly whisper she had just used she said, "Let's give you a taste of that pain. Shall we?" Without anything left to say Åse moved forward at vampire speed and latched onto Elena's carotid artery.

The Originals felt that the doppelgänger was getting what she deserved and had nothing to say on Åse's methods. The residents of Mystic Falls were too stunned to even think about helping. They had never see this type of sadistic nature before. It was truly terrifying.

Åse had relished in the way Elena screamed when she first started drinking from her. After several seconds though the girl quieted down. From her life experience of killing thousands Åse knew exactly when to stop drinking to keep someone alive. When she reached that point with Elena she detached her fangs and let go of the girls blood and tear-stained face. The doppelgängers head lolled to the side to where it looked like she was asleep. Åse had no care in the world as she stood up straight and walked back over to her spot next to Klaus. Her husband looked as if she hung the sun, moon, and stars. "You are truly the best thing to have ever happened to me." Åse met his gaze and said nothing as she leaned in to kiss her husband. When they pulled apart Åse rested her head on Klaus' shoulder before the screen started playing once again.

With his back still turned Stefan looked to be slightly amused at what Gloria was implying. For a few seconds Stefan just stood there with his back to the witch contemplating his options. When it seemed as if he had decided he turned around and rushed at the witch. However, he was too slow because Gloria had turned around as well and had Stefan stuck in his spot clutching his head in immense pain. "Guess I gotta get it out of you the hard way, huh?" Stefan then collapsed to the floor.

The scene changed to show Gloria prepping a bunch of her witchy tools that she would be using on Stefan. The vampire himself was laying on a table no longer wearing a shirt. Frantically moving his head from side to side he quickly asked Gloria, "What is this? Why can't I move?" Gloria moved to one of Stefan's arms as she replied, "Relax. It's just a little paralysis spell. Nothing major." The witch then used a large knife to make an incision in both of Stefan's forearms. "Gotta get that information out of your pretty little head. You know, witches nowadays, they're into that New Age stuff. But I'm a little more old-school voodoo." As Stefan continues to grunt in pain Gloria picks up two pins and sticks one into each cut on the vampires arms. As she does this she says, "To stop that pesky healing." Breathing heavily Stefan says, "I won't tell you anything." With a condescending look on her face Gloria just says, "You don't have to." Below Stefan's arms there are bowls that are collecting his blood as it drips out of him. "Feel that? That's your essence. Your spirit. It lets me make a connection. Herbs help too. Diviner's sage. Witch hazel." Gloria steps back to her cart of tools and rubs her hands with an herb. "But my personal favorite... vervain." Within the next second Gloria has her hands resting on Stefan's bare chest burning him with the only plant that's able to hurt vampires.

For a few seconds the screen went black to show time has passed. When it came back on Gloria was putting more vervain on her hands. "I'm impressed. You've got discipline, Stefan. It's not gonna do you much good, but..." As she walked around the side of the table Gloria said, "Just let go, honey." Stefan screamed in pain once again. This time was different though because Gloria seemed to be getting what she wanted. "There we go. There we go." On the screen small flashbacks of Stefan with Elena were shown as Gloria talked over it. "There's the girl with the necklace. You love her. You'd do anything for her, and you have. A lot of darkness. A lot of guilt. All to keep her away from Klaus. Why would he be interested in one girl?" Pleading with the witch Stefan kept saying, "Don't do this. Don't do this." The look on his face and what he was feeling was genuine. However, for some reason he felt in his bones that he could trust that Gloria wouldn't find out that Åse and Klaus already knew about Elena. When one final set of flashbacks are seen Gloria pulls away. "She's the doppelgänger. She's supposed to be dead, and that's why Klaus can't make hybrids, isn't it?" Gloria had just started laughing to herself when a voice interrupted. "Well, this is creepy." Turning around Gloria is met by a knife to the neck from none other then Katerina Petrova. "Maybe you do need my help after all."

In the next scene Stefan is shown wrapping Gloria's body in a brown sheet as Katherine starts talking. "I've been thinking about your diabolical plan." With a fake interested face Stefan says, "Do tell." "You must know that Klaus is too paranoid to ever fully trust you. But the sister, she loves you like it was yesterday. She's the easier mark." Stefan looks up from his crouched position on the floor. "And what about Åse, huh? What do you supposed I do about her? Because let me tell you, she is worse than both Klaus and Rebekah put together." Katherine falters at Stefan's question. The younger of the two notices and stands up as he says, "You didn't know she was here, and now that you do, it scares you."

Åse has to stop the almost gleeful smile that wants to break out onto her face at the thought of how scared Katerina is of her.

Katherine gives Stefan a sideways glance before talking as if he didn't say anything. "But you can't just pretend to care, because Klaus will know better. So you do the opposite, you bond with him. Make her feel left out. That'll only make her want you more." Going along with how she ignored him Stefan says, "So you mean I'm taking a page out of the Katherine Pierce playbook." "The only question is why, Stefan? I mean, I get it. You wanna keep Klaus away from Mystic Falls, but what else do you expect to get from it?" Stefan takes a couple steps closer to Katherine as he starts to speak. "You know what's funny? You keep talking to me like I trust you enough to tell you anything." With a slight groan Katherine says, "Oh, come on, Stefan. We're beyond that." She gestures down to Gloria's dead body saying, "I saved you from Hilda the high-voodoo priestess." Knowing he had to keep up the facade he was wearing Stefan only told Katherine what she wanted to hear. "Okay. I knew them, back in the '20s. They were running from someone, someone who scared them." "A hunter. I heard stories about him centuries ago." "Don't you wanna know why an Original vampire who can't be killed is afraid of a vampire hunter?" Katherine, with a look of slight desperation, says, "If you're planning on making a move against Klaus... I want in." Knowing that he has said enough at this point Stefan squeezes Katherine's upper arms as he says, "That's good. it's good to want things, Katherine." "Stefan." "Katherine. I'm in this alone. If you're looking for a diabolical partner in crime, I suggest you look elsewhere."

Stefan had picked up Gloria's body and walked around Katherine with what seemed to be no care in the world. When he was outside dumping the body he let out a quiet sigh of relief. Out of nowhere he heard a voice that sounded eerily similar to Åse's. "Nice job, Ripper. You actually seemed to convince her." Stefan looked around wildly trying to figure out what was going on. Out loud he said a startled "What the hell." Knowing that he would only become more confused Åse "spoke" again. "It's Åse, Ripper. Now come back to the warehouse. We're leaving soon."

Now back at the warehouse Stefan walks in looking at the Originals coffins. He leans over just about to open one when Rebekah walks in. "You're back. Finally." Pushing off from her spot against a shelf she says, "Nik and Åse are on their way. Just had to check on the witch." The blonde Original stands beside Stefan saying, "Dreary, isn't it? Family cargo." Genuinely curious Stefan asks, "Why don't you un-dagger them?" "Because they would both hunt me down and kill me. They're vindictive little bastards, my brother and sister-in-law." "But you still care about them. Why?" Turning to face the younger vampire she says, "Well, I hated them for a long time. It was exhausting." Rebekah had taken a seat on the coffin they were standing by as Stefan keeps talking. "You know, when I met you three... you were all on the run." "Also exhausting." Still genuine he asks, "Who were you running from?" "What do you mean?" "The last night I saw you... there was a man looking for you. You and Klaus both seemed afraid. Åse was more angry. I just— I wouldn't think Klaus would be afraid of anybody." With a small smile Rebekah talks in a whisper saying, "No one in this world is truly fearless, Stefan. Not even Niklaus and Åse." "Who was that man?" Rebekah swallows harshly and stands up saying, "I can't. Please. If Nik knew— if Åse knew we were talking about this, they—" Stefan stands up as well to apologize. "No, no, no. I'm sorry. Just... forget I asked. Okay?"

Rebekah was looking into Stefan's eyes as she spoke quietly. "Nik told me about the girl you loved." Stefan had to honestly hold back a grimace as he thought of his old feelings for the doppelgänger. "The one that died. He also told me that you're only with him because he saved your brother." Stefan took a few seconds to look to the side before he said, "That's true." "I think he secretly admires that about you. That you would sacrifice anything for family. Don't tell him I told you that." Stefan smiles before saying, "Your secret is safe with me." The younger vampire had just turned to walk away when Rebekah suddenly grabbed his arm and pulled him back so that she could kiss him. When she had pulled away she quietly asks, "Do you think you'll ever love anyone like you loved that girl?" Stefan's left hand cupped her cheek as his thumb gently caressed her face. In the same quiet tone he said, "I think I'm already coming close." Rebekah had a genuine smile on her face as she raised a hand to hold his right cheek. She leaned in to kiss his cheek before hearing a set of doors open.

Klaus and Åse were walking in holding hands. Klaus was wearing the same clothes he had on before while Åse was in something different. Now she wore a black, cropped off the shoulder sweater, black faux snake skin pants, a black belt with gold finishing, and pair of simple black stilettos.

As the married couple was walking Klaus started talking. "Gloria's gone, she's dead. We are on our way to Mystic Falls immediately." He and Åse stopped a few feet in front of Stefan and Rebekah had been talking. "What's going on?" Stefan looked like he was about to speak up, but Åse beat him to it. Leaning to mock whisper into Klaus' ear she said, "They were having a moment." She leaned away with a smirk that Klaus matched and she said, "Weren't you?" Rebekah and Stefan looked away with slightly embarrassed faces. Åse dropped any ounce of teasing though with her next words. "He was also asking about Mikael." The other two Originals tensed at the mere mention of his name. Stefan looked at Åse with honest fear on his face. She could tell he was scared of any consequences he may face. Åse stepped away from her husband and towards the youngest vampire. Speaking slowly she said, "I'm going to compel you. You're getting the warning that not many others would." Stefan could only nod his head in response. With that Åse's eyes dilated and she asked, "Why were you asking about the hunter?" In a monotone voice Stefan replies, "I was genuinely curious about why three Originals would need to live on the run." "And what about your statement to Katerina?" At the older doppelgängers name Rebekah and Klaus' heads whipped from each other back to Åse and Stefan. Still talking monotonously Stefan said, "I wanted her to believe that I was against you. It would be easier to figure out what she wanted if she thought we were on the same side." All three Originals nod their heads at this. Åse asks one final question. "What does Katerina want?" "She still wants Klaus dead." Åse scoffs as she backs away and stops compelling Stefan. "Of course she does."

For several seconds no one speaks. Suddenly, Åse perks up as if she just had a great idea. She steps in front of Stefan with a smirk on her face. Now knowing the woman slightly better Stefan is wary of this expression. She slaps a hand down on his shoulder in a friendly way before she says, "Stefan, I am about to snap your neck, and I'm going to keep doing it repeatedly until we get back to Mystic Falls." Stefan looks like he was about to speak when she just holds up a finger to stop him. "This is not about what you did. If anything you've given us useful information. This is purely out of anger and I don't feel like listening to Rebekah's whining if I took it out on her." Åse rested her other hand on Stefan's other shoulder as she said, "You'll be fine."

As she snapped his neck the screen went black.
