Waking up energized thanks to a moderately restoring night of sleep, Eric decided to go hunting for his first breakfast in his new body.
After getting the Ouroboros' equivalent of some bananas and hunting a wild boar he met on his way back to his camp base, he sat on a rock, waiting for the fire to steady his power and the meat to bleed.
Then as if reading the morning newspaper to kill some time, he called in his mind:
*Status Open. *
As if his mind split in two, in his field of vision appeared a black square with golden writings on:
Alec(Erechtheus Blake)
Race = Human
Age = 18(28)
LV.5
STR = 5
STA = 7
AGI = 5
MAN= 1
Abilities: Hero blessing, Dominion (lv.2, limited), Survival magic(lv.5, limited), *a** *le**i**(limited), A***o*i** *le**i**(limited), A**en* *le**i**(limited), H**e* *le**i**(limited), P**e**o* *le**i**(limited), D**da*** *u*s*, N**es** *le**i**(partially limited)
Eric was quite disappointed with his vessel: the average human had stats of around 10 points.
On the contrary, this so-called Alec wasn't lucky to choose his parents and had subpar potential in both body and magic-related stats.
Though that wasn't a big problem for Eric as with his past experience as a member of the Heroes' Party (a group of blessed individuals summoned from other universes), he knew that complex medicines and techniques could solve this situation.
Alec probably didn't have the right friends or means to solve this condition of his.
Finally, regarding his abilities: his Hero blessing gave him an automatic translation ability for incoming and outgoing means of communication and a fairly large Dimensional Item box.
In practice, he had no problems writing, reading, and talking in any language known in this world while traveling with possibly his house in his pocket.
Dominion was his personal ability which he obtained the moment he transmigrated.
It allowed him to become a tamer.
Survival magic was the only form of magic he learned from the royal teachers before starting his travel toward the Demon Lord.
Like the name described, it gave the basic knowledge about the four fundamental elements(fire, water, earth, wind) and healing magic with the only intent of survival.
These last two abilities appeared limited because of his actual body, which didn't meet the basic mana requirements for using them with the same power he had before.
Finally, apart from the last addition, the unknown entries were constant from his previous life.
That was probably related to his meeting with the entity, which presented herself as Nemesis.
The description hinted that this ability gave him bonus proficiency using blades, riding horses, and knowing the right price during trades.
The range was definitely wide but useful for adventurers and fitting to the goddess of revenge and retribution.
Having established his start point, Eric finished his breakfast and decided to find a lookout point to orient himself and possibly find any nearby city.
After a half an hour walk, the roof of the trees started thinning out as he slowly was directed towards the highest part of the forest.
Then raising his eyes to the sky, he saw a familiar line as a power struggle in a cartoon he used to watch when he was younger.
The sky was separated with light to his right and darkness towards his left, then he felt like cursing again as when he had just integrated with this new body.
He knew perfectly well what place he was and the danger he was exposing himself to staying here with every passing second.
Then in just a second, he started running back towards his cabin.
In fact, he knew that in the easy-to-watch hill, he was in now, staying still was possibly the worst decision you could possibly make.
Suddenly he jumped back, and a moment later, his path was blocked by a wall of flames.
At the same time, he felt bone-chilling words in the air, said in a tone of voice that still betrayed the worry and shyness of the person speaking, as in stark contrast with the actions just taken: ''I-Identify yourself if you want to live !''
At the same time, in a place far but near at the same time, in a house with a modest outer appearance.
Inside that building sat an astonishing beauty on a comfy sofa, thinking about the past.
She was drinking tea while listening to rock music.
On the surface of the drink was reflected her caramel, symmetric face, but her expression wasn't as eye pleasing.
In the same room, on the table, a dagger and a scale were trembling.
The mind of Nemesis was in disarray: meeting Erechtheus left an imprint on her.
*What should I do?
Should I tell him everything and include him in my plan as a partner or just use him when most apt asking for forgiveness later?
When I accepted her request, I just wanted to achieve her help in the future, but I found much more than I expected!
He was bold but silent when needed, and his potential is definitely more than enough…not to talk about his mind.
For a mortal, his speed of thought and elaboration was exceptional!*
Then her stream of thoughts suddenly deviated to a specific part of their interaction, and the fiery smile and thoughts linked to that in her mind of Eric.
At that moment, she blushed again.
This time acknowledged her thoughts, unlike the way she had done during the past exchange.
Then resumed her mental monologue.
*That isn't important now, my revenge is already due for millions of years, and the rest can wait.
The best course of action now is to observe his development through my blessing and decide the next time I'll be able to meet him in Panpolis.*
As her mind was quieting down and the scale was reaching stasis, it restarted moving as she said in a worried but confident tone at the same time: '' I hope he won't become a piece of charcoal, but if he becomes it, then I guess he amounted to that!''
