White people and Cubans were running against each other, but his boss's idea was to have a group of black people take the beating from the Cubans, to win sympathy and support for the white guy Jeff. Was this really something that people in the free and democratic United States of America would do? He asked with crazed eyes wide open:
"Do you know, boss, this scenario feels strangely familiar to me.
