At 5:59 am, just before the alarm was set to go off, Tommy opened his eyes with lingering sleepiness and took in the room before suddenly sitting up in alarm: "Shit!"
He glanced at the long-haired, disheveled woman lying next to him who was still deep in a good dream, her arm resting on his lower abdomen.
She was the German woman he had met at the party after sending Sophia away last night, whose background was unclear; anyway, she wasn't an unknown German actress neighbor in Hollywood trying to make it big in Beverly Hills, nor was she the parent of a classmate of his son. This woman, having had a few drinks, was in a bad mood. When Tommy came over, she lamented to him about some life issues. However, Tommy didn't remember, he only recalled that this woman in her early forties was not wearing a wedding ring and then they both had a few drinks and rolled into bed together.
