New York's winter holidays actually offer few family entertainment options, so many of New York's Mr. Wealthys tend to take their families to the high temperatures of 27 degrees in Miami or the slightly cooler Los Angeles for vacations.
Although Tommy could take his family back to the warmer Los Angeles, Tony couldn't join, so their activity area was essentially limited to around New York.
