Chapter 1 - CASSINI VAN DE GRAAFF

"Why do you think you deserve this job as my personal assistant?" He asked with his deep and manly voice. His brown deep-set eyes remained focused to her as Ms. Railee gulped thinking how sexy his stares were while his lips were looking soft and delectable.

His frame was also sexy and manly as he stood six feet tall. But her mind reverted back to its state when suddenly Mr. Cassini Van de Graaff cleared his throat as his face clearly showed annoyance by the woman in front of his office table.

Ms. Railee suddenly sat properly and pulled herself together while fixing her clean bun hair. She can't mess this opportunity up! She'd make sure that if she's hired as Mr. Van de Graaff's personal assistant, she will seduce him and get herself a hot and rich boyfriend, she'll make sure that he'll give her everything she wants.

Her thoughts make her smile like a Cheshire cat.

"Sir, I think I deserve this job because—"

"Javier!" Railee nearly jumped to her seat by the sudden angry voice of Mr. Van de Graaff, as he called his secretary, Javier, a tall masculine blonde guy wearing formal attire with eyeglasses entered his office and immediately walked towards him.

Javier lowered his head a little before he spoke to his Boss.

"Yes, Mr. Van de Graaff?"

Cassini pointed his finger towards the woman and sighed.

"Get her out of my office." He commanded and Javier obediently stepped by Railee's side.

"Ms. Railee, let me escort you out." Javier politely said but the woman just rolled her eyes to the CEO and pointed her finger to him.

"You're an asshole! Fuck you!" She cursed him and Cassini just smirked at her.

"I'm glad that you know that, Ms. Railee. Now get out of my office or else I'll call the guards to drag you out of here." He coldly threatened as Javier touched her arms but she tossed it off and walked out of his office.

Javier looked at the door when the woman slammed it close and moved his gaze towards his Boss. "It's the thirtieth, Mr. Van de Graaff." He informed Cassini and sighed.

"How many applicants are still out there?" Cassini asked in frustration as he combed his hair with his fingers as he looked at the last resume on his table. He then turns his eyes to Javier.

"Only one left?"

Javier nodded. "Yes, Mr. Van de Graaff. The last one, actually."

The last one? Fuck. This better be worth it. Cassini said to himself as he fixed his necktie. "Let her in."

Javier slightly lowered his head before he walked out of the office. On the other hand, Cassini checked out the last resume in his table and his eyebrow arched as he found her interesting.

"Peridot, huh. What a gemstone." He muttered as he slid his finger to her photo in the resume.

"That bastard! Urgh! Fuck! I hate him so much! Rot in hell, Cassini Van de Graaff!" A beautiful woman angrily shouted as she walked out of the building. Wait, isn't she the woman who's also here to apply as a personal assistant? Peridot stopped eating her sandwich as she shook her head.

It's the thirtieth, all of them walk out while furiously cursing the CEO of CV.

"Ms. Sfeir?" A manly voice suddenly called her and Peridot quickly stood up and turned her head towards the guy named Javier— the CEO's secretary. He's handsome but she's sure that this Javier guy is one hell of a womanizer like Cassini Van de Graaff.

"Yes? It's me, Peridot Sfeir." She answered while still holding her sling bag and sandwich. It's already past twelve so yes, she's hungry— no, she is famished. Javier smiled at her. No, not handsome at all. She said to herself.

"Please follow me to Mr. Van de Graaff's kantoor." He said as he quickly turned his back to her and started to walk. She immediately followed him as they entered the elevator.

"45th floor." Javier said with an authorizing tone and the elevator operator. Peridot bites into her sandwich and Javier looks at her with a confused look.

"I— I shik al losh konshusnesh if ay dot it." She said but Javier frowned even more while the elevator operator laughed at her. The elevator's door suddenly opened and as they stepped out of the elevator, Javier told her,

"Don't talk when your mouth is full."

They continued to walk until Javier stopped in front of a huge door and opened it widely. He then gave him a 'go-inside' look and she slightly lowered her head as she walked inside the supposedly hellish office by the one and only Cassini Van de Graaff.

There, her brown eyes met his brown eyes as they stared at each other for a while. She can't deny it. The rumors are true that he is like a perfect human being with his looks and build but still, the fact that he's a playboy will never change and that is his number one flaw that Peridot will never ever accept.

"Ms. Peridot Sfeir, right?" His manly voice filled the office. "Please take a seat." She's then about to sit on the sofa but Cassini cleared his throat.

"Not there, here, the seat in front of my table." He said and Peridot smiled awkwardly as she apologized for herself and then sat in the seat in front of Cassini's table. He looks at her directly with his serious look and Peridot gulped.

She couldn't believe it. She's actually intimidated by this womanizer! What a shame.

"Why do you think you deserve to be my personal assistant?" He seriously asked as she bites into her sandwich. Yes. She's eating her sandwich in the middle of an interview and from the sight of her, eating a sandwich in front of him, Cassini lets out a small chuckle.

"So, Ms. Peridot Sfeir? Your answer?"

Peridot let out a heavy sigh and then looked directly to Cassini's brown deep-set eyes. Cassini started to tap his foot at the floor as he eagerly waited for her answer only to hear,

"I am jobless. I need a job so I applied as your personal assistant to earn money." She answered and he stayed silent for a while, leaving her feeling a little nervous. Well, at least she's not lying at that answer unlike the other people, right?

"You…" He trailed.

"You what?" She asked.

"You're hired."
