Day 32...

*It has been a month since I was born in this world. Nothing special really happened in the past month, other than the fact that we had a lot of visitors. They were all here to see me. It seems that my parents are well known in these parts. That aside, I never realised how boring a child's life can be. I had nothing to do except eating, sleeping and pooping all day and currently, I am getting breastfed by my mother.

*Getting breastfed like this is embarrassing but I have no other choice, there is nothing I can do even if I am embarrassed.*

After feeding me, my mother sang me a lullaby to put me to sleep, and I couldn't help but sleep because this child's body wouldn't listen to me!! ------------------------------------------

After waking up from my sleep, feeling all energetic, I looked around in the room. Currently there was no one in the room except for me.

*The sun is still high up in the sky so I guess it's still afternoon.*

*Sleeping all day in a cradle is so boring. There is so much for me to learn and understand about this world and myself, but all I can do is sleep the entire day. Not to mention about this body, why is it so pathetically weak‽ I can't even control my limbs properly!! Forget walking I can't even crawl. It's so weak and fragile.*

I slammed my hands as hard as I could on the cradle, annoyed by the fact how weak I am currently, but as I did..... something strange happened....

DING!!

[System installation complete....]

*Huh? What?*

A voice started ringing in my head. I could even see words floating in front of me. I understood the words as it was of a language I was familiar with. But it was strange, what is this thing? And what is it saying? How did this thing even appear? These were the questions in my mind, with no one to answer them.

As I was wondering what this strange event unfolding in front of me could be, suddenly, I could hear the monotone voice in my head again....

[You have killed an ant]

[You have gained 0.2 exp]

[You get additional rewards for your first kill in this world]

[You gained an additional 500 exp, 5 stat points and 5 skill points]

**I gained what? What is all this?**

As if sensing my confusion the voice replied.

[You have gained exp points for killing an ant. Exp points can be used in many ways, simply put, it can help you grow.]

**........**

**Ok and who are you? And what is even happening.**

[I am the strongest system. I am your guide in this life and my job is to aid you.]

**That made things even more confusing. But first of all who sent you? and how do you know about my previous life.?**

[I was sent by the gods of this world and your previous world to guide you.]

**And who are these gods that you are talking about?**

[I do not have information about that.]

*Just what I expected.*

**You said you will aid me, correct?**

[Yes.]

**How exactly are you going to aid me?**

[I can provide you with information on all sorts of things. Things such as information on certain objects, your overall abilities and also aid you to improve your abilities.]

**If that's the case, then I have a question I would like to ask you. Tell me, where I am? And what's the name of this planet**

[You are in a small town, called "Ashwood", which is located on the outskirts of the "Azure" kingdom. The planet you are currently on is "Siren"]

*Siren? So this place isn't Infernum huh. That explains this new humanoid race.*

**And what's my race?**

[You are a human. To explain in more detail: Humans are the most populated and widespread race in this world, though they are not as civilized as other races. Humans are not particularly good at anything and have a weaker constitution and shorter lifespan than other races. In general, an average human can live up to 100 years. Humans are the most likely race to be divided into multiple nations and these nations often don't get along well with one another. Out of all races, humans are most likely to be on both sides of Good and Evil. While there may be some evil humans, they are not chaotic evil. They may have saints among them, but are not always lawful good. While other races have longer lifespans and great skills in a particular field, humans are not. They are more diverse, adaptable and non-linear thinkers. They are more driven and adaptable than other races which are significantly more stagnant.]

**I see.**

**That explains why this body is so weak, but to think I only have a hundred years to live? That amount of lifespan passes by in a breeze!!**

*Sigh*

[You can live for a longer time if you are stronger. There has been many instances were certain powerful humans were able to live for hundreds of years. The more mana you have and the more you are good at controlling it, the longer you can live.]

**What's mana?**

[Mana is a mystical energy that is present in every corner of the world and every being possesses some amounts of mana in their bodies. Mana is used when casting spells and when one runs out of mana they become unconscious or in some situations, die.]

*That sounds like Drana. Maybe the people of this world call it mana.*

*And this world even has magic huh? That's a relief, at least I know I can use magic. I am very excited to learn how people in this world use magic.*

**So uhh..... system....wait, don't you have a name or something? Calling you "system" every time is weird.**

[I don't have a name. You can call me whatever you wish to.]

**If that's the case then I should give you a proper name. If you are here to aid me like you said, then you will be staying with me for as long as I live. Kind of like a life long companion, and I cannot call my companion just anything.**

[I appreciate you thinking about me this way]

**So let's see.....what would be a good name?..... Oh right. I shall call you Drake.**

[Thank you for naming me. I shall be known as Drake from now.]

**So Drake. You said something about aiding me in improving my abilities. How are going to do that?**

[Let's start by seeing your status screen]

STATUS SCREEN

[Name]:Cassian Talen [Exp]: 500.2

Drake showed me a screen in front of me. I could see my name Cassian Talen written next to the name section, which I already knew since that's the word everyone would say while holding or approaching me. It didn't take a genius to guess that was my name. Right Next to age was written 32 days and my race was written human. Drake did say I was a human.

Aside from all that, there were a few things I didn't understand.

There was Endurance, strength, Dexterity, etc and next to them were numbers. For strength the number was 1. Does that number represent how strong I am? If that's the case then 1 isn't a good number, it means I am pathetically weak right now.

I decided it's best to ask Drake about this, instead of trying to come up with an explanation myself.

**So Drake, what does this status screen thing mean?**

[Status screen shows your personal information, the skills you possess and your stats. Stats are numbers that represent your abilities such as strength, Dexterity, Intelligence,Endurance, health, etc. Through the use of the stat menu in your status screen, you can measure the extent of your abilities through numbers. You can see all your skills and their levels in the skills menu. You can allocate stat points to a particular stat to increase your abilities. Of course you can still grow stronger without allocating stat points. For example, your strength stat still grows by physical training or as your body develops. You can allocate skills points to a particular skill to increase it's strength, effectiveness and your proficiency in the said skill. Of course, just like stats it is still possible to level up your skills by repeatedly using it. You can also learn new skills faster than others by repeating a certain action.]

**If that's the case, then I can definitely grow stronger and get back my original strength, maybe surpass my previous self.**
