Xander, on the other hand, dodged the attack with a graceful backflip, and then launched a barrage of energy blasts at the being.
The being countered with a powerful shockwave, sending Xander flying backward. But Alex saw an opportunity and used his time-manipulating power to freeze the being in place, giving Xander time to recover and launch another attack.
The being eventually fell to their combined might, and as they approached it, they saw a crystal embedded in the being's armor.
"Looks like we just found our next power-up," Alex said as he extracted the crystal.

As soon as Alex touched it, he felt a strange energy coursing through his body. alex gained an ability called, "random" random was unlike any of alex's ability, it gave him a 500x powerup by doing a random thing, the catch is that he can only use it once every two days. the ability gave Alex a random thing to do, like jumping, running, or even farting, It'll name a specific thing, and once Alex does it, he becomes 500x stronger for an hour. Alex and Xander were fascinated, they decided to fly and look for a place to stay.
As they were flying, they noticed a disturbance in the distance. They quickly flew toward the source of the commotion and found themselves facing off against a group of heavily armed beings. These beings were guarding a hidden facility that housed a powerful weapon capable of destroying planets.
After a grueling battle, Alex and Xander emerged victorious, with the weapon destroyed and the facility in ruins. As they stood amidst the rubble, they looked at each other and smiled, knowing that they had just become even more powerful.
