The beam of light was currently headed for Kai's back at blinding speed, therefore, there was no way for Kai to react in time.

The light beam slammed into Kai with explosive force and sent him flying.
Kai had a slight look of pain as he travelled traveled in an arc across the air, heading for the cave wall infront.
Boom!
Kai slammed heavily in the wall and the impact caused him to lose his breath before he fell flat on the ground.
"Damn, that really hurt!" Kai groaned as he slowly picked himself up.
"What? He can still get up after that?" Micheal said surprised how Kai can get up after receiving an attack that could put any normal mage to rest.
"Let me ask you this, are you the one who defeated Leon Phoenix?" Kai asked to confirm
his thoughts.
"Yes, I'm the who defeated Leon!" Micheal said calmly.
"Just as I thought!" Kai voiced out after confirming it.
The magic knights have nine divisions which is lead by the captain. The requirement for a mage to be a captain is that they must be a S rank mage. Therefore, all the captains of each division are S rank mages.
S rank mages are distinguished by the fact that their magic power levels are so high that they can't be measured. As the vast majority of mages never reach that level of power, S-Rank Hunters are very rare amongst the human population.
Even the guild master in the guild association is said to be an AA rank mage. As a result of this and the rising demand, S-Ranks are highly valued wherever they go and are typically rolling in money.
S-Rank mages are so powerful that a fight between S-Ranks typically devastates the surrounding landscape.
However, as their mana levels can't be measured, there is no power cap on S-Ranks like there is with the lower ranks. As a result, the power gaps between S-Ranks is the highest out of any other rank.
Also, unless the power gap between two S-Ranks is very large, it is virtually impossible to accurately compare them in strength.
Therefore, if what this man says is true then it means that he defeated Leon by himself or he got help from his subordinates but Kai thought it was likely the former.
"I don't understand why you guys are doing this... What are you guys goal?" Kai asked.
"I don't have to tell you anything, you would be dead shortly." Micheal said in a cold tone.
"Shit! If this man is really S rank, then I have no business holding back!" Kai thought as he suddenly engulfed himself in reddish flames of his Fire Dragon Magic.
Everyone was surprised how the air suddenly became dry and how the surroundings suddenly reached
"What are those flames?" Miguel mumbled in surprise as he never witnessed something like this before.
"This flames? This is the power of the 'Dragon King' Why does this brat have it? Micheal thought upon realizing what those flames were but he was brought back to reality when Kai suddenly dashed forward.
Micheal calmly shifted to the right, dodging Kai's fist which was engulfed in reddish flames but was soon greeted by a spinning kick which landed on his face. But Kai didn't stop there,
Blam! Blam! Blam! Blam!
Kai continued to assault Micheal with consecutive blows using both flames engulfed kicks and punches.
Kai then arched his arched back right left hand as he tightened his fist and punched Micheal's face, sending him flying towards the cave wall.
Boom!
Micheal crashed hard into the wall and the impact spread cracks over all the wall but Kai wasn't done yet.
Kai charges his right fist, releasing a huge amount of reddish flames in the process before punching forward, sending the intense burst of flames which consumed Micheal's being.
"My Lord!!" Miguel shouted out, worried about his leader.
"Was he always this strong?" Was what James and Teresa was thinking as they watched the scene with a look of shock.
Kai watched the sea of flames Infront of him, hoping that attack did some of damage. But he was soon disappointed when a black silhouette standing in the midst of all the flames suddenly cleared the flames with its hands.
Of course, this was Michael and he appeared unharmed, clearly Kai's attacks didn't even harm him in the slightest which shocked Kai and he wasn't wearing his hooded white robe anymore.
He was now wearing a skin-tight shirtless black shirt which revealed his his toned and muscular body and baggy black trousers which was held up by a blue belt with a pair of black boots.
"Not even that worked!" Kai voiced out in shock. This was the first opponent that Kai used his Fire Dragon Magic on since the forest of Hulda, but his magic had no effect whatsoever.
"So this is the power of the legendary Dragon slayer! Here I thought all of you were long dead but It seems i was mistaken. But to think I would meet one here and you have the power of the Dragon King at that." Micheal said with a smile but his smile suddenly disappeared.
"With the power of the Dragon king that I sense in your mana, you may ve mere boy, but if I allowed you to live, you will certainly become a dangerous threat to us." Micheal said as he releases a burst of magical power over the surrounding area, which caused everyone's face to turn pale and lose their breath.
"Therefore, I will execute you right right here and now!!" Micheal declared as he was suddenly engulfed in a bright white light.
"Meteor!" After leaving this words, Micheal suddenly vanished.
What happened next completely shocked everybody present as they didn't see what happened next.
"GWAAAG!!"
Kai screamed in pain as Michael punched his stomach in a lariat strike with blinding speed, throwing him flying into the air and sent him flying in the form of an arc toward the cave wall.
Boom!
Not only did Micheal's punch sent Kai slamming in the wall, it also caused Kai to break through the wall. He continued flying outside the cave and travelled several meters across the forest around the cave while .
Thanks to his speed, Micheal was easily able to catch up to Kai in an instant.
Gritting his teeth, Kai managed to balance himself and leaping into the air, dodging Micheal's punch which missed him and hit the ground instead.
Boom!
The impact of his punch sent cracks across the ground and sent a shockwave which knocked down the nearby trees.
However, Micheal instantly appeared behind Kai and elbowed him in his head, throwing back to the ground.
"WAH!!"
Kai screamed as he helplessly fell to the ground but Michael didn't allow him to land and immediately flew back down and knee Kai in the chin, followed by an elbow strike on the head.
"AH..GAH!!"
Blam! Blam! Blam! Blam!
Kai groaned in pain and blood flowed from his mouth as Michael's fist traveled from the entire front and back of his body.
Micheal just kept punching Kai while he was in mid air. His eyes, his nose, his face, his back, his groin, his chest, his stomach etc.
Kai was unable to follow Micheal's speed and remained on the brutal receiving end of Micheal's furious punches without having the chance to retaliate.
Micheal then kicked Kai's face, sending him crashing on the ground with force and caused him to lose his breath.
"Wha.... What's happening?.... He's too fast." Kai weakly said as he tried to catch his breath.
"It's understandable that you don't know what's happening... Since this will be your last moment, I will be kind enough to explain." Micheal said while he slowly walked towards Kai who was laying helplessly on the ground.
"My magic gives me the ability to control and manipulate the stars at will, a magic feared in the dark ages: The Heavenly Body Magic!" Micheal calmly explained.
"What?" Kai weakly mumbled out.
"Now, it's time to finish you off!" Micheal stated as he placed both of his hands on top of each other, with the top hand having only the index and middle fingers spread out.
The action created seven magic seals in the sky which connects together to make what appears to be a constellation.
"HNGH!!! I can't move!" Kai groaned as his instincts screamed at him to move.
"Now Begone Dragon King's spawn!!"
"Seven Stars, pass your judgement: Dark Star!!!"
Upon that, each of the magic seals released a powerful light blast from the sky, raining down on Kai's position.
Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom!
"AAAAAAHHHH!!!!"
The sound of the howling wind, sound of the trembling floor and the screams of Kai were soon replaced by the raging sound of a huge explosion that destroyed the whole forest vinicity.
