Within an restaurant, the sweet aroma of food filled the air as food was being served to the local customers. Currently, three young men can seen sitting on big seat while facing three beautiful women on the other end if the wooden table.
One of the young men sitting on the right was a young man who had jet black hair with a scar between his eyes and was facing a beautiful young lady with medium length black hair and matching eyes.
One of the men sitting in the middle was a handsome young man with snowy-white hair and icy blue eyes. He was wearing a simple white shirt, black pants and black shoes. He was facing a beautiful woman with short blonde hair and brown eyes.
And the person sitting on the left was a handsome young man with spiky black hair and charcoal grey eyes. He was currently wearing a black t-shirt with a v-neck collar and and a red design on the front which patterns out into a X-shape.
For his leg wear, he wore a baggy white coloured trousers which possess noticeable black details on both sides and black boots. He also wore a white scale-like scarf around his neck and a thick black wristband on his right wrist.
He was currently facing a beautiful young woman of average height and has a slender, curvaceous build. She has long, dark brown hair and deep blue eyes. She was wearing a necklace with a long, elegant dress, and a white short-hood over her shoulders.
These young men were Kelvin, Lyon and Kai and they were currently on a date with these women.
Kai ran into Kelvin and Lyon as he was stalling around the streets. Kai had already paid his rent and he had nothing in the meantime so he was bored and decided to stall around.
Apparently, Kelvin invited both Kai and Lyon to a blind date when he ran into them. It has been some time since the rogue mages attacked so it was currently peacefully.
Kai and Lyon wanted to refuse at first but since they had nothing better to do, they decided to accept Kelvin's invitation which brings us to this current situation.
"....."
There was silence, plus awkward silence as they stared at the two beauties who wore a slight smile on their face while the other one with brown hair was just narrowing her eyes to another direction while keeping a neutral face.
If this goes on, the girls will surely lose interest and the whole purpose of this date that he set up will be ruined. Therefore, thinking so, Kelvin spoke out,
"How about we introduce ourselves.. I will start first." He said before bringing out a flower from nowhere and continued, "I'm Kelvin! I'm 18 and a wind mage of the Night owls and also an A adventurer."
"Wow." The black lady voiced out while the blonde haired lady's face brighten.
"Good, I got their attention. I'm gonna get a women this time for sure, but I need Lyon and Kai to do their part." Kelvin thought before he faced towards Kai and Lyon.
"Come on guys, introduce yourselves too!" Kelvin said as he slightly elbowed Lyon in the shoulder.
Lyon sighed before saying calmly, "I'm Lyon, I'm 17 ice mage and part of the night owls. I'm also an AA adventurer."
"I guess I should introduce myself as well" Kai thought before saying with a neutral face, "Yo, I'm Kai, a fire mage and I'm part of the night owls. I'm also a B rank adventurer."
Seeing the good atmosphere, the ladies decided to introduce themselves.
"I'm Grace and these two are my friends." The Black haired lady named grace said with a slight smile.
"I'm Lily and I work at a salon." The blonde haired lady said with a neutral face.
"I'm Emily and I work at a restaurant." The brown haired young lady said with a neutral while narrowing her eyes.
"Oh, wow. Tell us more about what you do at work." Kelvin said with a wide smile.
"What we do is boring. Tell us about what you do as adventurers." Grace said with an eager look.
"I want to hear about it too." Lily spoke out.
"Well then if you say so. During the rogue mages attack, yours truly happened to defeat one of the enemy by myself." Kelvin said as he shot out his chest with pride.
"No way. you're messing with us, right?" Grace said in disbelief.
"Hey, Lyon I heard you did very well during the invasion." Grace suddenly said.
"Yeah, I managed to defeat a several zombies and saved a lot of people as well." Lyon said calmly as he took a sip of his tea.
"Wow, that's amazing. As expected of an AA adventurer." Lily voiced out.
"Same for you, Kai." Kelvin called out to Kai.
"Well, I did killed some zombies and managed to take one of them down, but sadly he managed to escape." Hearing Kai's word, everyone had an amazed look but it soon disappeared upon hearing his next words.
"I missed the feeling of fist slamming into that guy's face and how helpless, he was as I kept punching his ugly face. I couldn't get enough of it." Kai said as he held his right fist with delight.
The ladies felt uncomfortable upon hearing Kai's words as they looked at him with a look of disgust.
"No, no, no. Fuck, fuck. Oh my God! How am I going to fix this?!!" Kelvin thought as the friendly atmosphere he managed to create slowly turned into a wield one.
10 minutes later, Kelvin had managed to fix the atmosphere into a friendly one albeit barely. He did so by telling the ladies stories about his adventurers with Lyon. Lilly and grave expressions had completely brightened but there was a slight problem.
Kai's date, Emily was just narrowing her eyes to the side while keeping a neutral face, showing how uninterested she was.
"Well this is a problem. Why does she keep looking at 7 o'clock? I can't let Kelvin's hard work go to waste even if I'm not interested." Kai thought but he had no experiences with women so he didn't know to do. Even so, he gathered his courage and spoke out.
"So Uh, What's your favorite color?" Kai blundered out.
"Geez, you have to try so hard. I'm done with this, it's so stupid. I only came because grace said that I should find a good man to help out with my siblings but this isn't me. And to top it off I can't stop thinking them." Emily said as she was about to stand up and leave.
"Oh, you have with your siblings?" Kai asked with a curious look.
"Yeah three brothers and two sisters. They're all younger than me." Emily replied to Kai's question.
"Yeah, although I don't have siblings of my own. Some time ago in the past, I took a job to babysit 5 kids for some days. I got along with them really well but there are times they got mad at me. Even so, it was fun being with them. It's easier to sleep without them around but I still feel lonely sometimes." Kai voiced out while rubbing the back of his head.
"Yeah, you're right. When they're around, they really get on your nerves but when they're not, you start missing them." Emily said with an excited look as she sat back on the chair.
"Now that that I think about it, you give off a big sister kind of vide." Kai stated out upon noticing.
"I know right! that's what everyone used to say." Emily voiced out with a smile. Before they could continue, they were rudely interrupted.
"What do we have here?" A drunk burly man said as he approached them.
"You must be having a grand time, Mr Mage. Seriously, how can someone this young be a mage... Geez, why is life so unfair." The drunk man said as he took a sip of his beer.
"You must be feeling good about yourself, having such a fine woman with you." He said before taking a look at Emily.
"Hey, haven't I seen you before?" He said while rubbing his chin.
"Oh, I remember now. You're that chick at the restaurant that always carry that kid.... And you work till you're covered with sweet." He said upon recognizing Emily.
"HA, ARE THOSE KIDS YOURS? SO YOUR MAN RAN OUT ON YOU, HUH." He suddenly yelled.
"What? No that's my bro..." Before Emily could finish, the drunk man interrupted.
"AND NOW, YOU'RE TRYING TO GET A MAGE TO MAKE THINK THINGS EASIER FOR YOU, HUH. if that's the case, then even I am good enough for you." The drunk man said with a smug look as he placed his right hand on Emily's right shoulder.
"What.. get your hands off of me!" She yelled with an irritated look.
Upon seeing the man's unruly behavior, Kai stood up from his seat and grabbed the drunk man's right hand.
"Hey, I can I.." Before the drunk man could complete his sentence, he saw himself flying in the air
"Uh?"
He mumbled out with a confused look wondering why was he was flying across room before crashing down onto a table.
Boom!
"UWWOOO!"
The drunk man yelled in pain as he slammed into the table with force, breaking the table upon impact. The look of shock appeared on the girls faces as he witnessed what had happened.
Apparently, Kai grabbed the man with one hand and throw him across the room.
"Hey! I don't know where the hell you crawled out from. Don't judge someone without knowing their circumstances!" Kai spoke out with an angry look.
His actions caused a blush to appear on Emily's cheeks before she snapped out of it.
"Why are you standing there, we need to leave now." Seeing so, she immediately grabbed Kai's hand and ran towards the restaurant exit.
Upon leaving the restaurant, they immediately entered an alley and stopped.
"Thanks for that, I feel better now." Emily said after catching her breath.
"Yeah but I feel bad for ruining our little gathering." Kai apologized
Emily was silent for a moment before asking with a small blush on her face, "Hey Kai, is there anyone you like?"
Emily's question surprised Kai. After all, the concept of dating was foreign to himz he never had time to think about such times. Therefore,
"No, I don't have anyone. Why do you ask?" Kai asked with one of his eyebrows raised.
Hearing Kai's reply, Emily smiled before saying, "Is that so.. anyways, you should come visit some time. I'm sure the kids will love to play with you."
"Wow, really? Alright then." Kai said with a surprise look.
"Great, this is my chance." Emily declared in her mind.
Back at the front of the restaurant, Kelvin can be seen sulking as Lyon was rubbing his back. Apparently, after Kai ran away with Emily, the other girls rejected them saying they were too aggressive and went home.
"Damn It, why is life so unfair. And I was so close." Kelvin said with tears in his eyes. He had been trying to get a girlfriend for a while now. Even with his good looks, he didn't have any luck.
"There, there." Lyon said while rubbing his Kelvin's back, not being bothered by being rejected by his date.
