Chapter 12 - A DOOR IS OPENED

The curtains rolled, Mr peter is seen with a plate of fried peanuts and garden eggs, walking out of the bedroom.

He sat on the cushion and Victoria fail into his arms as they both enjoyed the snacks together.

"Where is your mother Victoria?" He asked her with a calm tune.

"She is in the kitchen daddy." She answered and went to check on her mother in the kitchen.

"Mommy, daddy is asking after you." She told her and ran back to her father.

Shortly, Mrs Peter was seen walking out of the kitchen, drying her hands with a handkerchief.

She walked to her husband and sat down beside her, picking a garden egg.

"Victoria said you are calling me." She asserted.

"Calling? Not exactly. I just wanted to know your where about." He answered

"Okay dear, I am making dinner." She said.

"That's good. I am really hungry. I am eating this to survive and not die."

"Ah, daddy Vic, You told me you ate something at the office."

"And that is enough? You know I am not satisfied eating outside, no matter what it is. By the way, I hope you are making swallow? I need something heavy in my stomach." He said, causing mommy Vic to smile broadly.

"By the way, have you informed Tabitha about the offer from Abuja?" Mr Peter asked.

"I have gone to check after her severally, but her door is locked. I am waiting for her to be back so that I will inform her."

"That's fine. You know, my sister doesn't have much patience. She said she want feedback in two days time, otherwise she would be making a move for someone else."

"Hmm, see how Nkechi is missing out on this." Mrs Peter complained.

"Are you mentioning that one? Was it not her my sister took to Abuja three years ago that she ran away in the name of she was been maltreated? You can't even talk of her to my sister. She would just close the chapter on any other person she is suggesting." Mr Peter said, with a little anger to spice it up.

"Wait, is that not her door I am hearing? Let me quickly check." Mrs Peter said and quickly rose to her feet to check.

Mr Peter heard as she exchanged greetings with Tabitha and she was informed that her husband needed to see her urgently.

Tabitha obliged and asked for few minutes to change and make Joy comfortable.

When that was done, she went in to see Mr Peter;

"Good evening sir!" She greeted with a knee down.

"Good evening woman of God." He answered.

"I have some good news, but I am worried, maybe the news is not for you."

"I am already jubilating sir. If it is good news, it belongs to me sir." Tabitha said, everyone laughing out loud.

"Okay, My wife told me days back that you are considering a move to Abuja to start up a new life."

"Yes sir. Actually, it's a vision I keep having sir." She answered.

"Okay, but has the Lord spoken clearly to you about it?" Mr Peter asked.

"Yes sir, but, I don't really know, because early morning yesterday before I went out, I was studying the book of Genesis about the Israelites and I could hear the Lord telling me that he has made a way into my promise Land." She answered.

"Hmm, mm, this is truly God." Mr Peter said clapping his hands and making her to be confused.

"Is there something sir?" She asked.

"I have an elder sister in Abuja who is doing very well. She and her family will be traveling overseas on a vacation stay. They need a matured lady that can stay back in the house and keep watch over it, and as well manage somethings before they are back.

When she told me, nobody came to my mind but you. In the last few months of your salvation, you have changed into a wonderful young lady, with so much impact on those of us around you. My sister knows me well for quality, which is why she asked me for recommendation.

Actually, we have other siblings, but they are doing well too. The only sister of mine is not who I can recommend for such a commitment.

I know you are more than the kind of person my sister need.

I asked you because I don't know if the Lord has permitted you for the journey."

Without Mr Peter concluding, Tabitha fell on the floor thanking God.

It marveled her greatly.

"So, go, think and pray about it. If the Lord confirms it, get back to me early morning tomorrow before I leave for work. I will call my sister and inform her. After that, she will send in money to take care of your transportation and every other thing necessary." He concluded.

"Oh, thank you Jesus. Thank you sir! Thank you Mommy Vic. I will never forget you. I am deeply grateful for your love. I will do as you have said."

Haven established that, Tabitha rose to her feet and dashed out of the room rejoicing.
