Brock was still face-first into the ground, he was used to getting slapped by girls but for some reason, this time, it hurt more than usual.
Most people left, leaving the building more or less empty, so Ash, Misty, and Yellow walked over to Brock's body.
Ash found a stick on the way and started poking his body with it, "My boy, you fumbled.*Poke*"
"Hey stop that," Misty said as she grabbed the stick and broke it.
Ash looked at Misty and pulled out a second stick, and continued poking Brock
"Σ(°△°|||) Wha- where did you even keep that!"
"In my pocket, duh *Poke**Poke*"
Meanwhile, Yellow tried but failed to pick Brock up, "Brock are you ok?"
"I'm alive if that's worth anything," Brock said, being mostly muffled since he was still on the floor.
"Well look on the bright side, you won," Misty said, helping Yellow get Brock up.
But then the stick Pokes his face, "Yeah but you did fumble the bag."
"Will you cut that out!" Misty yelled at Ash
Ash looked at Misty with a blank look, "No"
"Why I odda," Misty said raising her fist in anger and trying to punch Ash, Ash just dodged to the left.
Ash just looked at Misty, "And you wonder why we joke about your anger issues. Can you at least be serious? Brock is here on the floor and this is what you're doing, I can't believe it" Ash said as he walked over to Brock and helped him to his feet.
"Wha- but you- you're the on- what about the stick!?"
"What Stick, Are you seeing things now?" Ash gestured to his person and indeed the stick was gone.
Misty looked around then looked at Ash continually Pointing at him and then back at the floor, "Wha- where- is- Ahh" Then she started pulling her hair.
Eventually, after Misty calmed down, Brock got back on his feet and they left the stadium, "Well what now, have we decided if we're going to go today or if we're staying for another day."
Ash put his arm around Brock, "Well we would have left today, but Misty gave me a very convincing argument."
Flashback no Jutsu
During Breakfast while Brock left to take a Shower and Yellow went to change.
"Hey Ash let's stay in Saffron for one more day, Please," Misty said looking at Ash hopefully.
Ash was drinking his coffee, "Sure"
"Please, come on,"
"Wha- I already sai-"
"Come on, come on, Please," Mist said getting closer to Ash
Ash moved his chair, "Hey I already sa-," but then Misty grabbed his collar, "You're joking."
"Come on, Come on, Come on, Come on….." Misty said repeatedly while shaking Ash.
—
"And that's what happened," Ash said, nodding as Brock and Yellow looked at Misty, who was looking away and whistling.
"But anyway do you guys wanna do something, cause I wanted to go look at the dojo since it's probably going to be closed or something by the time we come back," Ash asked.
Misty came back and wrapped her arm around Yellow, "Nope, we have been hanging out with you a lot, this time Yellow and I are going on a girl trip."
"We are?" Yellow asked.
"Welp I guess nothing can be done," Ash said, turning around and ignoring Yellow who was making a surprised face, "Welp Brock it's you and me."
"Wait don't I have a say in this," Yellow said trying to get anyone's attention which she wasn't getting.
"Sure let's go, it'll be nice to take my mind off of things," Brock said as the boys started walking away, and Misty pulled Yellow along.
–
After a bit of walking Ash and Brock were starting to approach the Dojo, and all the while they were talking.
"I don't know what I did wrong!" Brock said, still looking at the ground in his depressed state.
"You fumbled, there's nothing more to say."
"But how?"
"Are you really asking that," Ash said looking at Brock with a blank look, "Look Brock I'm not going to tell you to stop going after girls, but can you at least tell me why you act so desperate."
Brock looked away and scratched his cheek, "Well I guess…. I did actually get a girlfriend a while ago."
"Yeah, and I don't know her, she lives in another Region," Ash said jokingly.
"Hey I'm serious," Brock defended himself.
"Ok, what happened then?"
"Well we were going steady for a bit but as you know I was taking care of my siblings so we didn't get much time to go on dates, and apparently she thought I was cheating on her."
"What, so it was from a misunderstanding?"
"No, she did eventually find out about my siblings, although she did think I had a secret family, but the thing is I wanted someone so that my Siblings would have kinda a mother figure and I could get help taking care of them."
"Oh boy I see where this is going, she broke up with you after-"
"After I told her about it, Yeah, her exact words were 'No one girl could even think about taking care of that many kids!' and then she left. I don't know what happened to her, I think she ended up moving but I could be wrong."
"Yikes and here I was thinking she broke up with you after you started flirting with other girls," Ash said, putting his arms behind his head.
"Hey I wasn't always like this"
"I doubt that"
"Well anyway, I took her advice and I decided I will build a harem for myself and have a big family!" Brock yelled into the sky, making some girls in the area look at him and then run away.
Ash looked at Brock with a blank face, "Seriously, I don't think that was advice, besides a harem, seriously."
"Hey, it's legal…Probably"
"No, it's not illegal, but it's not commonly done unless you have a position of power or you're a noble."
"Hey, but people have had big ones before, so I can't be alone."
"I don't think that's the problem, look I get it its appealing but realistically how would you, this isn't some anime where just because you look pretty girls will agree to it after talking with them."
"That just means I need to convince them or find some that are OK with the idea."
Ash sighed and smiled, "Alright I won't stop you from trying, but can you at least stop being so desperate, I mean you remember that girl in the competition, she was into you but you fumbled."
"I can try to contain myself a bit, but I won't make promises I will find a way to achieve my dream," Brock said looking onto the sky.
"Only you," Ash said, shaking his head.
"What about you?" Brock asked
"What do you mean?"
"Don't you want one too, you said it yourself it's appealing," Brock said looking at Ash with a smug face.
"Hey if it happens I wouldn't say no, but currently I have a lot on my plate so I haven't even been trying to get a girlfriend, much less deciding whether or not I want to try for that."
Brock slyly elbowed Ash in the arm, "Well if you ever decide to do it you have my support." which just made Ash smile and laugh.
Eventually, they got in front of the dojo, which was much bigger than its anime counterpart, it had an entire plot of land dedicated to it, walking in they could see people training with Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan.
Almost immediately a person walked up to them and greeted them, "Welcome to the Saffron City Fighting Dojo, are you here to train, sign up, or challenge the master for one of the sacred treasures."
"Sacred treasures, what are those?" Brock asked.
"Why is it one of our specially trained Hitmonlee or Hitmonchan. Although you may only have one if you defeat the master."
Ash looked at Brock, "Do you want one?"
"I mean not really, when I said I wanted more type diversity I was thinking more of adding a fire or Grass type, You?"
"No, I already have Machoke for my fighting type,"
Hearing this the dojo student almost fell over from the disrespect.
"Well I will just have to show you how strong these treasures are, I challenge both of you to a battle."
Ash and Brock looked at each other and shrugged and both pulled out Pokeballs, "Sure we have some time to kill."
1 minute later
The dojo student was on his knees after losing as Graveler and Machoke were giving each other the bro handshake over the unconscious Hitmonlee and Hitmonchan.
"Well I kinda expected more," Ash said, rubbing his eyes.
The dojo student still got up and pointed at them, "You're lucky the master is currently facing a challenger otherwise he would be the one beating you."
As soon as Machoke heard the Master he perked up and walked close to the student.
"Ma-Machoke!" he said, grabbing the student excitedly.
As the student was panicking, Ash walked next to him, "I think Machoke wants to fight the Master, so where is he? Machoke hasn't had a good fight in forever."
"Y-yes he is in the central building, but currently he is battling a challenger from the Galar region," he said as Machoke finally let him go and picked up Ash on his shoulder to start walking.
"Alright then onwards," Ash said like a 4-year-old riding on their parent's back as Brock followed.
Along the way Ash was thinking, 'Galar, it can't be her, can it, no …. unless, no I can't think like that if it's her that's what it is.'
When they got to the center building they could indeed hear a battle in the central building. Making Machoke pumped up for the battle.
Then in the next instant, a big muscular man was flung through the door landing outside on his back.
From around the dojo, the other Black Belts present express their amazement towards the strength of the challenger.
Ash hopped off Machoke to help the master get back up, as he put the master's arm around his shoulder he saw said challenger walk out of the gym and bow.
The challenger was a slender young girl with tan skin, gray eyes, and gray hair styled as a bob cut. She wears a skintight black bodysuit and a uniform that consists of a cut-off white shirt with the Fighting type and Gym Challenge symbols and white shorts with orange and black details and the number "193" on them.
Ash frowned as he recognised the girl, Bea the fighting type gym leader from Galar.
"I thank you for our battles," Bea said, giving a respectful bow.
Then when she got up she looked over at all the blackbelts, who all immediately shivered and ran back to training. Then she looked over at the master and saw Ash picking him up.
She squinted her eyes and walked towards him, when they were face to face she inspected him looking him up and down.
Then when she seemed to be done she took a step back and faced Ash, "I can tell you are strong, I challenge you to a sparring match."
"Wha-, you mean like a Pokemon Battle, sure but shouldn't we introduce each other first," Ash said, handing the master over to some blackelts who were standing by.
"Very well, I am Bea, I am in training so I may inherit my grandfather's gym in Galar, are you perhaps a disciple of this dojo."
'Wow I forgot she acted like this, but she isn't the gym leader yet, so I guess she is much less experienced, though she probably still fights with her Machamp, I wonder what happened with Korrina then.' Ash thought.
"I'm Ash, and no I'm not a disciple here, I just know some basic hand-to-hand combat stuff, and that's about it, so about this battle how many do you wanna use," Ash said scratching the back of his head again walking into the destroyed room.
"None," Bea said
"....What"
"I challenge you now prepare yourself," Bea said getting into a fighting stance and closing the distance between her and Ash.
Ash was still surprised as Bea threw a punch at his head which he narrowly dodged but it caused his hat to fall off.
He then continued blocking and dodging what he could as he thought to himself why this was happening. Just from the feeling he gets when he blocks the strikes and jabs, he could tell she is really strong.
"Blocking will only get you so far, so start going offensive," Bea said as she delivered a Roundhouse Kick (Mawashi Geri), aiming at Ash's side.
Ash blocked it with his arm and grabbed at her leg, "Alright then if you asked for it." Ash then pulled her into a throw aiming to get her on the ground.
Bea's face didn't change as she rotated her body allowing her leg to slip free then landed a Reverse Punch (Gyaku Zuki), into Ash.
That did make Ash Stagger back but he didn't get the luxury of that rest as Bea closed the distance again and went in for another jab.
Ash frowned as her next punch came in he grabbed her arm and pulled it above her as he punched her in the stomach.
That made Bea stumble back and give a smile, "Hehe, there it is I knew you were hiding something now the real fun can start."
'Oh god no a Battle junky.'
Ash started getting bombarded by jabs and punches and when he tried to counter attack Bea would block him and reverse it, needless to say it was a one-sided beatdown.
Ash did manage to get in some hits but it didn't seem to slow her down, though he didn't use Aura at all, since if he did he would probably break a few of her bones since he can't really limit how much he boosts himself all that well.
Eventually, the sparing section came to an end when Bea managed to put Ash in a grapple, effectively incapacitating him.
"Do you yield?"
"Yeah sure why not," Ash said, completely done with this entire useless subplot.
With that, Bea let Ash go, "For someone who claims they only know the basics you did better than the Master."
The master who was recovering in the corner fell over like he had just been shot.
Ash sighed and picked up his hat that was still on the floor, "I'm a quick study, and it wasn't that hard, the worst part was when my so-called 'master' broke my arm."
"So, do you want that Pokemon battle now?" Bea said innocently
It took everything Ash had to not throw an Aura-boosted punch at her, but before he could say anything Machoke jumped in since he watched the entire fight.
"Machoke Machoke!(•̀ω•́)✧ " He said nodding with stars in his eyes.
Ash buried his face into his hands, "Oh god there's another one I forgot."
