"Well, can you blame them?" Qing Ning teased, crawling into my lap and nuzzling into my neck. "Even I can sense the massive change in the environment in the nearby Territories. It's only natural that some would begin to take advantage of it, while others will seek out the source." She added, as her body began heating up drastically, I could feel her warm breath on my skin. "I'm also refining a sizable amount of energy. I'll soon reach the level you wanted me to reach before breaking through…" She continued, using our link to help keep her sane through the intensity of her refinement.
"If you need a break, it's not like I'm going to stop you. I'd rather you be safe, it's not like you're the one holding back…" I said, making sure she heard the words, as I gently held her close. "I'd rather you be slower and safer, than faster and risk losing you… And that goes for all of you…" I said, adding the last bit for the rest of my wives to hear.
"Don't worry husband, I'm fine… No, I'm better than fine. I feel fantastic, like a whole new me." Qing Ning said, caressing my cheek with her lips curled into a warm, loving smile. "Besides, I want to be of help to my sisters. They've helped me learn the Monster Qi cultivation methods. So it's only right that I help them with this one." She explained, her eyes then widening. "There it is, it's time. Could you protect the others here while I break through?" She asked.
"Of course I will, but, I'll also keep you safe." I said, giving her a kiss just before she flew over to a spot she had previously been eyeing.
Shortly after, several more individuals stepped forward. Each taking their own spots, ones I had created as a perfect match for each of their abilities. Or rather, as perfect a match as one could hope for. The number eventually reached the equivalent as however many had originally arrived. Next up was Six Wood Divine Monarch… Who effortlessly passed the barrier that great emperors were barred from passing through.
"Ah, that is an interesting test you devised there, young man… No wonder you were able to tell the situation with that one disciple in an instant…" Six Wood chuckled as he greeted me and took a seat.
I poured a cup of tea and served it, the same tea that I had served to Luo Ting He earlier. And then I poured one for myself, I took a sip and then set my cup back down and let out a half sigh.
"So why did you come? You, unlike my martial aunt Luo, don't need any adjustments. At least nothing that would help you out anyways." I said with a chuckle.
"Oh, I'm not so sure about that." Six Wood said, taking a sip from his tea. "Oh my, now that is some excellent tea!" He mentioned. "Ah, so good… I simply wanted to see you up close and share some tea." He chuckled.
"I see, given you were even able to lift that cup tells me quite a bit about you." I said, giving Six Wood a smirk. "So tell me, what is it you really wanted to ask that you would risk the exposure to such powerful fluctuations?" I asked, pointing to the lightning below me that seemingly could swallow universes whole in a matter of an instant or less.
Six Wood, for the first time got to see the fluctuations in full force. From afar they certainly were impressive, however, I had been hiding their true strength for obvious reasons. "Yes, now that I see them up close, my questions are even more important…" He said, sweating as he realized the extent of the might being used below the table. "First, how long do you intend on keeping the Territory in such good condition for breaking through? And second, do you mind if we bring more people here to use this place?" He asked his questions.
"To your second question, I say that there isn't really any difference who uses it at whatever realm. I was honestly… Quite shocked my breakthrough caused such an effect. I'm partially worried about what will happen when I break through to the 9th rank. Will it be too much for the 3000 worlds to handle?" I answered, giving insight into my worries. Ones that would help aid in Six Wood's decision making. "Your first question… I'm not exactly sure, but I suspect I need a few years to devour this oversized brute. Which reminds me, it would be nice if those 12 columns could be brought here instead…" I continued, finishing my tea.
"Hmm, very well, I'm going to send back an order to assemble everyone that is near their next breakthrough. We will establish a panel of masters here as well. An array of them that should be able to answer any questions disciples have." Six Wood said, then finished his tea and stood up. "We will call this event… Heaven's Blessing? Or something like that, a one time event for others to benefit from." He chuckled as he flew away.
"HEY! Don't go thinking I'm just a big piece of meat like that." I shouted after him. "Those who can think that way are limited to less than 15." I added as I pulled out a pill furnace.
Six Wood and a few others laughed. It was all meant to be good fun, something to make the dark times less difficult to deal with. So I didn't mind, not like I won't find a way to get back at him someday.
"Alright, several of the great emperors have finished their breakthroughs. And none have failed. I should take this time to prepare some more pills for my parents. I'm sure they want to have another child by now… Well, I know my mothers definitely do… My father on the other hand…" I spoke in a soft voice to myself as I scanned the surroundings. "Qing Ning is taking her time and doing it the right way. Making sure she doesn't miss a single thing. I'm glad she managed to grasp some ideas of space principles beforehand, that will make it far easier." I said with a smile as my next guest sat down and poured himself a cup of tea.
