The four of us flew to the place where Ma Fan, the troublesome grandmaster artifact refiner, kept the Good Fortune Divine Furnace. The Good Fortune Divine Furnace, is an artifact capable of enhancing resources to a higher rank. Of course, Ma Fan didn't know I already had more information about it than one would expect, given that it was one of the most well guarded secrets. But, his worry subsided when we landed. The number of masters seeking the use of the Good Fortune Divine Furnace had clearly increased by an extensive margin since the last time.
"Hmm, this is not good. I suspected we would come up with a complication similar to this at some point, but to think it happened so soon after enacting just a small portion of my plans… Elder Ma, you were right to seek out aid. I'm afraid our current arrangements will not be suitable anymore." I said, as I took note of all the open heaven masters around. Not a single one below the peak 6th rank. "Though, it's not just an issue of resources now is it." I added, looking deeper into the issue at hand.
Ma Fan's eyes widened. "You really do have sight beyond your experience. Perhaps you will have a way to solve this issue." He chuckled in surprise and relief. "Have you come up with any ideas yet?" He asked with a desperate sigh.
I looked around again, taking in the array of looks on the faces of all these masters. "It's hard to say for certain. I might have an idea or two. But neither are going to be easy to pull off, even for me." I finally answered. "I'd like to see the Good Fortune Divine Furnace in action first before I make any suggestions. I wouldn't want to make something up and have it not work. That wouldn't help at all." I chuckled. "Though, for starters, I'd like to make this a fair bit more organized. So, let's try to get everyone organized into the elements they need. If they need a full set or more, they should be separated from the others." I added.
"Grandmaster Ma Fan, who exactly is this…" One of the 6th ranks started asking. Their voice failed to continue coming out as they had been completely suppressed in that very instant.
"You would do well not to continue that thought. This is the Young Master of High Heaven Cave Heaven, Young Master Yang Leiji. It's in your best interest not to be rash. Or have you forgotten what he did to someone who tried to attack his little sister inlaw? I'd be hard pressed to pull something like that off, and certainly wouldn't manage to pull it off that fast." Ma Fan explained, at a tone of voice bordering on yelling.
"Come now, it's alright. To the uninformed I am nothing more than a Great Emperor. And in truth, They are mostly right to think that. It's just that one can't see my full strength as a result. So, Shall I give a small demonstration to avoid any questions about it later?" I said intervening before someone ended up dead.
"If I had my way, that one would be… But Husband is much kinder than that." Bing Xue said with the rumble of her dragon voice.
"Alright, this is actually a good time. Most of you here have not witnessed what I am capable of. And I bet you're thinking the rumors of me surviving a run in with a Royal Lord are nothing more than a fairy tale." I said, comforting Bing Xue with a short back rub. "I'll show you a tiny fraction. Just so there aren't any more doubts." I smiled, causing an eruption of thunder so numerous and dense, it was blinding.
Ma Fan's eyes widened upon seeing the purple bolts of lightning. He used quite a bit of strength to catch one. "I managed to get it? No, he must have allowed me to take it. This thing looks similar to the thing Yang Kai once brought me. Did he… Make this just with his strength?" He murmured, it wasn't loud, but enough for a pair of dragons to hear clearly.
The blinding lightning vanished seemingly as if it had never even been there in the first place, however, the ones who had been affected by my display, well, their faces said it all. "That is but a portion of my strength. In fact I doubt that even holds a candle to my true limits. It's hard to say since I've grown so quickly." I chuckled. "And yes, I did create that. You can have it, use it well. You know I've started teaching, some of those students might go on to being disciples. And like any good master I'll need to procure them a worthwhile artifact. Perhaps this could be your first try at making something suitable for them?" I explained.
"With a treasure like this… All I would need is a few other materials of various ranks. I'm sure I could come up with something." Ma Fan said, refusing to relent at the challenge.
"Good, now show me this Good Fortune Divine Furnace in action. I'll have a better idea about how to use this after." I said, with a smirk and a nod as I continued towards the inside of the hall.
"Yes, Young Master…" Ma Fan said, running up after me with a little more pep in his step. "Young Master, this lightning, it's basically ink destruction. Something like this could prove useful to all the soldiers. Should I…" He asked, mostly because he wanted more to practice with.
"Elder Ma, please don't say things you shouldn't. There is a time and place for such matters. But, since so many prying ears have heard you already…" I sighed. "Prove to me you can make something with that, something with a wow factor. Something powerful and worthwhile. I'm not opposed to giving you more of this. However, if it's only you who can successfully manage the refinement of such material… I'm afraid there are better uses of your time. And I'd rather give these weapons to the most suitable. Which will be those who can master at least one of my many moves. For that will prove they have finally entered the 5th level." I explained, putting all of the pressure on Ma Fan. It's only fair to share the load.
