Chapter 503 - Surprise Guests(3)

"That sure was fast." Yu Chang Dao said with a half chuckle, now remembering that he was likely up next. Something that really sank in when I nodded his way, indicating to him to begin. "Well, I've been training my disciple Shi Da Zhuang here, for over a thousand years. I had him taking things relatively slowly. But he has reached the peak of the 3rd order Emperor Realm. I was hoping to take advantage of my connections and see if it was possible for him to break through as a Titled Great Emperor." He explained.

"I had a feeling that was the case. I'm glad I came." Martial Beast Great Emperor replied. Then took a glance towards Shi Da Zhuang, before going back to Yu Chang Dao. "If I remember correctly, the disciple you have here with you now is actually your closed door disciple. Is that correct?" He asked.

"Indeed, I had made a deal with Young Master Yang's Father, Palace Master Yang Kai, to take in Shi Da Zhuang. I'd like to see him achieve the things I could not. And one of those things just so happens to be a titled great emperor." Yu Chang Dao answered, with an explanation. He also seemed to lower himself a little as if he was willing to lower himself to begging for help. "And so, I was hoping the great emperors here would be willing to help." He continued.

Seeing this, Shi Da Zhuang didn't let it go. "Master, please don't lower yourself any further for my sake. It's alright if I can't earn a title. It won't keep me from the open heaven realm." He said, clearly out of turn, but nevertheless he couldn't help himself.

Martial Beast and I looked at each other and shrugged it off. "It's not that we aren't willing to help. It's just that at least in my case I don't think I can help. Perhaps my martial nephew has a better idea?" Martial Beast suggested, tossing the problem at me.

"I'm not sure I can help either. Remember I became the star boundary's great emperor not too long ago actually. And it was by no means a similar way to the others." I said, reluctantly witnessing the face of an old man losing the last hope he had. "Don't go getting yourself all sullen and saddened too soon, you hear? I may not have a way to do it. But I do have an incredibly strong connection to the star boundary. Consider it a side effect of gaining my title from her over such a ridiculously vast distance." I added. "I want to hear from Shi Da Zhuang, your disciple, the reason he has. So I can determine if this matter is worth intervening in or not." I finished, leaning forward, waiting for the answer.

What Shi Da Zhuang saw was a great emperor staring him down, fingers crossed such his hands covered his lips. Shi Da Zhuang gulped, hoping he wouldn't make a mistake here.

"Sir Temporal, being a great emperor would be… It would make me feel like I honored every wish my master couldn't do. I don't necessarily want it for myself. I want it so I can live up to the expectations I was brought up to live by. And the honor of being a great emperor is not lost on me, it's a position that holds a special place in people's hearts, and carries a massive responsibility." Shi Da Zhuang explained his thoughts, even as odd as they may be.

The room was silent as I mulled the response around in my head. I had noticed that my wives were just outside the door and seemed to be with a few other people. One of them is someone I didn't want to enter just yet so they kept them busy outside. As much as two of them complained their hearts out.

"Young Master Yang, what do you think? Is my disciple worthy in your eyes?" Yu Chang Dao asked, getting a little impatient about waiting for the answer.

"Guest Elder Yu Chang Dao, I am going to ask you a very simple question. If you answer it right, without asking anything about it. I will intervene. Understood?" I asked, in a mildly official capacity.

"Yes! I Guest Elder Yu Chang Dao, hereby swear I will not challenge your decision on this matter. Regardless of the outcome." Yu Chang Dao swore on his cultivation.

"What is the number I'm thinking of?" I asked.

Yu Chang Dao's excitement vanished as he thought about the question. "7" He answered, wearing a confident smile.

"Good, you can come in now." I said, sitting back in my ornate chair.

In rushed two, rather upset girls. One was Xu Ding Ai, the other was Star Boundary in her physical form.

"Big brother! Why didn't you tell us you were coming here today?" Xu Ding Ai complained, tugging on my arm.

"Hey don't be mean to him, Tempy Thundy isn't bad!" Star Boundary prodded back as she crawled up into my lap.

"Hey! No fair! I wanted to sit there first!" Xu Ding Ai pouted, jumping up and taking over the rest of the space.

"Now, now, Temporal Thunder is busy. I'm sure he had his reasons to stop us from coming in… It couldn't possibly be because he was hiding my husband from me." Fu Xuan commented while holding a swaddled baby in her arms.

"Pfft, my husband wouldn't do something like that. Sir Martial Beast is here because he wanted to help. Doing so while knowing my father in-law is busy. But that doesn't excuse him from not saying anything about his whereabouts." Bing Xue giggled.

"Uh, Young Master, I know what I said, but I don't remember hearing an answer?" Yu Chang Dao said in a puzzled manner.

"Well, I had to let her in here in order to intervene properly. You see this is Star Boundary, more specifically, she is the spirit of Star Boundary in humanoid form. If anyone can help you with your question, it's her. And this is the last of my interference. You'll have to get her approval, not mine. The most I can do for you in this matter, is now done. The rest is in your hands." I said, introducing the world's spirit to the now stunned into silence Master & Disciple pair.

"This child sitting on your lap is Star Boundary?" Yu Chang Dao stuttered, seeing my Martial Beast nodding away… "It is an honor to meet the spirit of my Disciple's home world.
