My wives got off from on top of me, something like this shouldn't be accepted while on the ground. I stood up with a stretch, making this take a little bit longer on purpose. Yang Kai, my father, just had to ask this of me now. He of course already knew the answer he would soon receive but, it's best to hear these types of answers aloud.
"Father, I'm of course more than willing to do this. However, I do ask that you don't go overboard with it. I too want to spend time with my mothers and siblings." I said accepting the responsibility of High Heaven Cave Heaven once again.
"Oh, I almost forgot, can you make some more of those pills? Your mothers haven't stopped talking about having another one. I'm shocked anyone would want another one after what a woman goes through to give birth…" Yang Kai said, moving on with a nod to my answer.
"I can of course make more of those pills. They don't take that long to make, but if I'm to manage everything regarding our forces… That might make me too busy. Remember father, It's not just the Master's position I have to handle, but also the Head Manager's. Though I suppose I can temporarily promote another one of the managers… No, it would take two of them to handle Mother Hua's previous work load. And that's not considering wartime preparations…" I said, thinking about how I'd do it. "Eh, I'm sure it'll be fine. If anything I can always just form a bubble of time to give myself more time. It'll just make the refinement process a bit more difficult. Either way, father, I'll have more of them ready for you and my mothers. I too want more baby siblings. The sooner they get it out of their system, the sooner I can begin after all." I shrugged.
"Good, they will certainly love to hear that news. Take care of everything, son. Make sure to come by once in a while to say hi to you brothers and sisters." Yang Kai said, patting me on the shoulder before turning and leaving. And then disappeared to go be with his now expanded family.
I let out a small sigh, I too had wanted to go and see them. However, the magnitude of work that was now on my plate and responsibility on my shoulder's was nothing to scoff at. It was enough to warrant getting me to do it in the first place. Which is all you need to know about the sheer amount of work that needed to be done.
"Husband, let's go. There's a lot of work to get done." Chi Qiu said, jumping on my back. "While my sisters cultivate, I'll stay by your side. It should make it a little easier if one of those four comes back to see you." She continued, wrapping her arms and legs around me.
"It'll be painful to be apart again. But cultivation is important… I'll make sure you have all the resources you need." I said. "I'd like to have all of you practice, but that isn't realistic." I said, agreeing with Chi Qiu's proposal.
That's when we started to move. Maid servants were assigned to each of my wives that were below the open heaven realm, or the equivalent realms from other races. These maid servants' responsibilities were to bring resources to my wives. Whatever it was they asked for. My wives, while not liking the fact they would be apart from me for an undefined amount of time, they understood. Given that they had decided that no matter what happened with Su Yan and the others, they would keep themselves from rearing any children themselves until after they broke through to the Open Heaven realm. Which made it so they couldn't really disagree when it came to cultivating.
~ Great Testing Hall ~
This hall had been built long ago by the previous sect, the one Yang Kai had destroyed. It had gone through some renovations here and there. But it was ultimately the same size. Which made my current task all the more difficult to perform. I was seated in the Sect Master's place this time. The reason, well there is an exception when at war is that whoever is currently in command of the force, they are the one who must sit in that chair. It was actually quite annoying since the chair was rather uncomfortable.
Standing a few steps down were the disciples that my father had let out of the Void Training Temple. These were the ones who had gone through all of the applicants previously.
Below, in a formation on the field upon which the seats wrapped around, were about a quarter of the applicants that had come to train under me. To learn the ways of thunder and lightning. Some were from different sects throughout the 3000 Worlds. This included many people who had been studying the same dao their entire lives. Ultimately peaking out where they currently remained. I was curious so…
"Master Temporal Thunder, may I ask why all of these people are here again? We were told to go through all of them and determine where they were. Did the reports not make it to you?" The only Disciple who had managed to break through to the open heaven realm, asked curiously. He clearly recognized many of the people below.
"Ah, those reports… Hm, pay it no mind. Consider that a good learning experience for yourselves. Before you ask, yes, there was a fatal flaw in each report. Which is why I had ordered all to return." I answered, stunning the disciples. "You all forgot one crucial factor. Really two, but they are tied. It is their willingness to try and learn my methods. We are currently at war for the survival of our race. And my abilities are the only one's humans can learn on their own, that really puts the enemy in their place. So, even if only one in a thousand can learn it. I want all who might have a chance to try. If I got rid of a thousand now, that would be one less cultivator with the ability to even out the battlefield." I explained.
"Of course Master, thank you for reminding me. I will endeavor to do better." The Disciple said, bowing with a salute, causing the others to follow suit.
