My wives took seats near me and focused on watching the sound asleep spirit of Star Boundary. I simply smiled and waited as the little spirit slept, as I had a lot of information to go through. And I needed to think of ways to prevent my harem from growing too large. And I had to think about refining my elements.
"I wonder… Now that I'm no longer supporting the Star Boundary's spirituality… Could I refine the elements faster?" I wondered aloud.
"What do you mean you're not supporting… Oh, huh, you're right… I guess you would have a greater connection doing all those veins and what not." Heaven's Revelations said, realizing what I meant after he bothered checking it for himself.
"With such a burden off of my shoulders… I should have less issues refining my elements and consolidating my cultivation. This is good. Real good. I'll have to test this out. It's a shame I have to wait for my father to come out." I said, looking at Flower Shadow… "Actually, here, you're the only one who I can hand her off to. If she wakes up it's better she doesn't have a beard in her eyes." I said, preparing to hand Star Boundary's spirit over to Flower Shadow.
"Oh, yay. I've wanted to hold her since I saw her." Flower Shadow said, holding out her arms to accept the sleeping world spirit.
During the transfer the world spirit stretched and mumbled, muttering Flower shadow's name. And then promptly continued her sweet dreams against Flower Shadow's bosom. I created a chair for her to sit in, then I floated up.
"Supreme Elders, I think even you may gain something from this. You may even learn one of my power's closest secrets." I chuckled, my eyes already sparking with a mighty storm.
"Holy shit, each of those bolts coming off your eyes is at least… Wait, that can't be right, can it?" A Supreme Elder asked, nearly choking on the tea he had just drunk.
I opted for a non-verbal reply with a smirk. And with that setting the tone, I began channeling my Qi, this time, only relying on my human cultivation. I had to practice and get used to only using it for now, as refining materials could be problematic otherwise.
After a few moments of fully activating my full human strength, I opened and closed my hands a few times. Inspecting how well I could control it. Finding that I was quite strong with just my human strength.
"Excellent. With this level of proficiency I should finish refining the Earth Element in… About 2 or 3 months. It's still difficult to say for certain but it's far better than the year I had been planning for. I might actually have time to play with siblings before I have to return to that hellish place." I said with a confident tone. "Once I'm through with that battle…" I continued, landing. But the rest of my words were conveyed another way, in one that only my wives could understand.
"Young… Young Master Yang, the strength you just displayed was easily above that of a 5th rank open heaven. Are you positive you only used your human cultivation for it?" Six Wood asked, wanting to confirm.
"Yes, I'm positive. If you like I can demonstrate it within your small universe so you can be certain." I answered calmly.
"No, no need for that. It's just, that is a huge gap to overcome. So I was surprised. Though I guess I shouldn't be anymore huh." Six Wood chuckled as he and others relaxed.
"I'm more curious about the secret you mentioned?" Luo Ting He spoke up, with her boisterous self taking over for the moment.
"Oh that? It's simple. Though it seems like you haven't forgotten it. Some clearly… Have though." I sighed, actually a bit ticked. "The answer is simple, under your nose and yet also not at the same time. If you all didn't lose sight of this power, the ink force would likely never take hold of you." I added shaking my head and rubbing the bridge of my nose. "Emperor Qi, it is and always will be the foundation of everything that comes after. Train your bodies to be strong and practice the flow of your Emperor Qi. Once you increase your control, you should start to manage twice the feats with half the energy consumed. You're all fortunate that you can fall back on the Emperor Qi to practice. The Sun and Moon twins don't have this luxury. I sort of feel bad for them. But well, they are doing quite a good job so far." I explained.
"Hmm, I see your point but what do you mean by using the Emperor Qi? It's weak and ineffective against the ink force." Mo Sha asked the same question on everyone's minds.
"Ah, let me tell you a story, a story of how my father used the 3rd order emperors as his final gambit to kill a territory lord…" I said, diving into an explanation of the events.
The laughter was loud and boisterous. Supreme Elders fell out of their chairs laughing. Some pounded the ground with their hands, gently of course. And tears of hilarity flowed, they held their guts from the pain of laughing so hard. Needless to say this laughter did actually wake up Star Boundary, who upon noticing the laughter and how she was being held by flower shadow instead… She stretched and then noticed the blanket.
"I like this blanket, it's so warm and cozy." Star Boundary, the Spirit said, nuzzling into it more. "Oh and you're comfy too, but Temporal Thunder is a different kind of cozy, it's calming and soothing. Like it doesn't matter what problem comes our way, he'll dash it to pieces. Like bam bam!" She smiled cutely.
"Yes, you hear that! I am comfy too!" Flower shadow said, nuzzling the spirit as if it were her own child.
"Pfft, I never said you weren't. And it's a good thing since you're expecting." I chuckled, lifting my tea in cheers.
"Uhm, but why am I in your arms? I wanted to sleep on Temporal Thunder?" Star Boundary the Spirit asked, with a cute confused look.
"Ah, that. I had to hand you over to her. I wanted to test my strength now that you've returned. And I didn't want to wake you." I explained.
"Oh, okay, I'll stay here then. It looks like you're busy." Star Boundary the Spirit yawned with a smile.
