I looked at Zhang Ruo Xi for a moment, thinking about whether I should tell her everything right now or not. There was quite a lot to absorb after all, and I didn't really feel like explaining it multiple times. So I opted to go with the other option.
"For now, I'd like to ask Mother Zhang to wait a little while I digest the information as well." I said, with a nervous look. "There is a bit of information that I hadn't been able to understand before the day's events. And have now learned not only the events but the reason behind why I had been blocked from them before. That said, I will confirm that the scroll was thrown to me by the hand of Heaven's Order. My spine nearly jumped out of my skin the moment it landed in my lap, so there's no doubt it belonged to her." I elaborated, hoping Zhang Ruo Xi would understand.
Zhang Ruo Xi looked a little disappointed and then held the scroll in front of her. "Husband, this scroll, do you feel anything when you see it? And when you hold it?" She asked, trying to hand it to a suddenly extremely timid Yang Kai.
"Uh… That thing is giving off an aura that causes me to instinctively back away. It feels like it will try to kill me." Then he looked at the mass I had just thrown up, as it formed a world. "And I don't desire to vomit a world up right now." He chuckled nervously.
"Husband, please, I have to know. Or do you think I bear you ill-will?" Zhang Ruo Xi said, shying away, faking tears.
"Fine, hand… hand it over…" Yang Kai said, then looked at me. "It won't kill me will it?" he asked.
"I doubt it. It just turned my bloodline into a significantly purer form. And increased its potency several fold. I have pushed into the ancient realms of both Dragon and Phoenix. The reason I went through such a change just now is likely due to my human cultivation heavily restricting me. At least… That's what I feel like given how many times I was forcibly transformed into both dragon and phoenix form, growing ever so slightly stronger each time. And uh… anyone going through that would definitely be getting sick. No matter how much of an Iron stomach they have." I explained, downing the last of the wine jar.
"Alright… So in the worst case, I'll advance to the Ancient Dragon Realm…" Yang Kai stuttered, as he reached out.
"Oh, and Father, you'll gain quite a resilience to that feeling you've got now. I think it has something to do with registering the good from the bad. Like it's hostile until it understands it can trust you. You should have seen Uncle Yang Xiao… He was terrified of the thing. Never seen him trembling that much. Well, never seen anyone tremble that much. But… That could have very well been the effect of Heaven's Order's gaze. That was terrifying." I continued explaining, chuckling to myself as I pulled out another jar of wine and drank the whole thing.
"Hmm, in that case, it's best to get this over with then." Yang Kai said, mustering up the courage to grab hold of the scroll.
It was at that moment he realized just how insane the method was. And his eyes looked at me with a shocked expression. He then let go of the scroll, giving it back to Zhang Ruo Xi. Yang Kai had held it for a bit longer than expected, trying to gleam more of the method for refinement.
Yang Kai flew away fast as he transformed, his full size had long reach above 3000 Zhang, courtesy of several different improvements in methods. But now he was shedding and growing like it was nothing. With waves of energy sending off in every direction, it made some previously invisible Universe Worlds visible.
After roughly an hour or so, Yang Kai had exceeded the 5000 Zhang marker, making himself an Ancient Dragon. But it didn't stop there. He only had to manage his Dragon form, so the growth was constant. And he was already an 8th rank Open Heaven realm. There was no restriction on his growth for now. It continued all the way up until he was 8000 Zhang Long by the time the growth slowed down. And finished growing at 8500 Zhang. Comparable to the low end of peak 8th rank status, or in a peak Ancient Dragon.
Transforming back to human form Yang Kai helped himself by leaning on my shoulder for support. "Son… You went through that? Twice over? Shit. That was awful but I am definitely stronger." He said, as I handed him another jar of wine, just in case. It wasn't anything fancy, just a little something to recover the senses. "Thank you. And Ruo Xi… I'm never going to hold that thing again unless I absolutely have to. That thing is dangerous… But…" He looked back at the world I had vomited out, in its nearly complete state. "I'd prefer not to vomit up something like… Huh, is it… Almost done forming? Or are my eyes deceiving me?" He continued.
I took a look at the newly forming world with my eyes, the ones that can see through all. Zhang Ruo Xi also looked at the world. It was indeed almost done…
"Nope… It's done." I said, as a low reverberating pulse radiated, upon the completion. "Huh, it really does feel similar to the Ancestral Land. Wait… Does that mean I somehow managed to create Ancestral strength?" I said, wondering aloud, just as confused as the others who had recently arrived, curious about what had happened.
"Hold on, let me go in and see." Zhang Ruo Xi said, flying right into the new Ancestral Land. She came out after several breaths with a rather complex look on her face. "Son, is it alright if I inspect your cultivation as well, I'm curious about something." She asked, though she didn't wait for an answer and just did it anyway. "Wow, that's… If I'm right, you'll find a way to unite the sources inside you. Or something like that, maybe? It's hard to tell, with how chaotic it is in you. So much so I wonder if anyone else could survive in your condition." She explained.
Su Yan and Yang Kai were immediately worried. Not for me, but for the other child they were soon to try and conceive.
