"Then he had better answer…" Yu Ru Meng cried.
"Fine! Both of those promises are intrinsic! My siblings are my siblings, that's it. It doesn't matter if they are my wives, brothers and sisters or my own. I even declared war because someone dared to try and harm my little sister in law." I answered. "And second, it is a parents duty to make sure that their child's partner is a suitable one! This has held true for all time! I've called you what?" I said, getting a little angry now.
"Mother…" Yu Ru Meng gasped. Realizing how stupid she was being.
"And what is a Mother!? If not a Parent!" I said, hugging her tight again. "We aren't blood relations. But that doesn't matter." I continued. "So you see, your requests aren't controlled by asking me to do so. They are already promised by nature of how I address you. As Mother Yu. my 6th Mother. So don't do anything that would dishonor that position. I love you as I love my mothers. And my father loves you as a woman. Don't do something that takes that love away from us." I explained.
There was a moment of silence after I finished speaking. Largely in part because I had indeed raised my voice. Though, when you think about it. This was one of those few times when I'm basically required to do so. Had I not, the sense of anger and disappointment would have taken more effort to get through Yu Ru Meng's thick skull.
"Son… I… I'm sorry…" Yu Ru Meng said, losing her grip on me and relaxing. "I guess things are getting to me… Do me a favor, call me mother one more time." She said, gleaming to hear that word again.
"Mother Yu, I know you're under some stress and are looking for some release. But, my father is more than capable of that. Or is it… That you are nervous about having children?" I asked, as she finally got off of me.
"Uhm… I just… I want them. I really do, it's just the thought of losing them has been firmly taken root. After what you went through…" Yu Ru Meng explained… Hiding her true nervousness. Or attempting to do so.
Yang Kai had already appeared and started walking over to Yu Ru Meng. He was being quiet to the point only Su Yan and I could tell he was even there. I then thought about Yu Ru Meng's real worries. She wanted to make sure that she would get to see her babies… I sighed internally but it was time. Even if it takes away from the surprise, it's best to give the gift early, than to leave her worried. After all, such emotions are like a cancer on anyone's cultivation. And more specifically a woman's pregnancy.
"Son, go ahead and tell her about it. We'll act the same tomorrow when you present the gifts properly. You know just how important a woman's state of mind is when they are pregnant. So show her how much you care about your future siblings." Yang Kai said to me through our source's link.
"Mother Yu, I was going to wait to tell you. Hoping to keep it as perfect a surprise as possible. However, it seems like I have to say it. But first let me ask you this, why do you think I, of all people, would need to spend so much time to refine pills that I created? And ones that I can produce trillions of daily." I started by asking Yu Ru Meng.
Xia Ning Chang who heard this realized something instantly. "Son, is it because you were adding something to it?" She asked, eyes full of interest. Like they always are when it comes to Alchemy of any kind. The fact it was the pill I designed for guaranteeing a safe childbirth… In the mind of a mother wanting another child, all else seems to be drowned out.
"Indeed, I made them so that even if there was any issue I could not account for initially, an automatic change will start, balancing everything out. Thus making it a perfect pill." I explained. "However, that's not all. I made it so that once the union of the two halves has combined. Or another explanation, once it is confirmed you are carrying my unborn siblings, a life saving artifact will be assigned to them immediately." I explained further.
"WHAT! That's amazing! How did you think of this?" Yu Ru Meng asked. And then she was in Yang Kai's arms.
"It's because he wants to ensure that his siblings will live good lives. Safe from any enemy. At least long enough for someone to save them. He almost died too. Even in my Small Universe." Yang Kai explained. "His soul and body are different. But he is my son nevertheless. And I love him a great deal." Yang Kai continued, wrapping his arm around me to show he cares. "And I will love all my sons and daughters the same." He continued.
"True, The original soul that was with this body had died in the womb. It couldn't handle the power of two Divine Spirits in a human body. And then my soul was dragged here and told that it didn't matter who was before me. Their soul has already gone back into the cycle." I explained further. "I don't lament being brought here. I'm glad. Being surrounded by family. And making a difference in a meaningful way… It's great." I smiled, hanging my arm on Yang Kai's shoulder as well.
"One thing you got wrong there son, you were always meant to be my son. Of that I have no doubt." Yang Kai said, strongly.
"That's right! You're my son. We even have our souls connected as such! You're my little boy. My precious baby boy." Su Yan said, wrapping herself around me and shoving my face into her bosom. "I love you. But you already know that. I tell you this every single moment I can through our shared link. And so does your father!" She continued. "And you're even going so far to make sure my next child doesn't go through the pain you went through." She added, smothering me.
