~ The Private Meeting Room ~
CRACKLE RUMBLE
"Looks like he has arrived, let's see now, it only took him a single stick of incense to restabilize. Seems he really has gotten better at that." Feng Ying spoke, breaking the silence, and then indulged in her tea.
"He always has been quite quick when it comes to things like that. It's quite impressive to say the very least, he has earned my approval." Yang Kai stated, matter of factly.
I opened the door and walked inside. "Greetings everyone, apologies for arriving behind schedule." I said, cupping my hands.
"Don't pay it any mind. If the Dao calls one must answer it regardless of the situation. Otherwise they will suffer backlash." Bing Yun spoke in an endearing tone, sizing me up.
"Well then, now that you've arrived, let's begin the discussion. Not that there will be much to discuss. Leiji, you're going to need a larger bed." Yang Kai chuckled.
"Father, I came here knowing that was an inevitability, as such I am prepared for such circumstances. However, I must inquire about the true feelings that lay with their hearts. And I also ask Father to be reasonable with his decision." I said, proceeding to my reserved seat.
"Indeed, well then how about we begin with Zi Yu, She seems to be incapable of looking at anything else since Leiji walked in the room." Yang Kai said snickering lightly.
"Husband, that seems a little unfair, after all, young miss Lu Yu Qin, Lin Yun'er and Zi Yu all fall under that umbrella. Shouldn't you begin with Sister Lan Xun, and Xiao Qi, besides we also have Sister Gu Pan with her bold declaration." Su Yan said, flashing a mildly disdainful look at the embarrassed Gu Pan.
Silence fell over the room once again. "That's enough." I sighed. "Martial Aunt Gu Pan will remain as so. Even with that overly excited declaration of hers, it doesn't matter. I did not give her the recipe. And nor would force anyone to uphold such a frivolously spoken comment. Just, try to be patient and think slightly more while observing your surroundings before speaking." I explained. "At this point the only way for you to be at my side is if my father were to force my hand. Upon which I would resist as it would bring into question your honor as a woman." I added, hiding my annoyance.
"Awe, isn't that cute, to think that your little boy is so well versed in reversing the situation." Flower Shadow Great Emperor said, with an amused blush. "I believe you should honor those words, Void, don't press the issue of Sister Gu Pan's discretion. And forgive her as Temporal Thunder has." She added with a half smile.
"For the record I had no desire to press the issue. So let's make big things small and small things, nothing. I would ask the others to speak up now but it seems they are still inhibited by wonder. So, Junior Sister Lan Xun, what business do you have with me?" Yang Kai spoke, ushering this meeting along. He was clearly anxious to get this over with and go into seclusion, or was it something else?
"I was informed that it was my Senior Brother who came to my rescue. I was healed from the endless excruciating pain by someone here. So I came to express my gratitude, even offering..." Lan Xun spoke up to answer Yang Kai, then she stopped remembering my words from earlier. "I wished to meet the one who healed my injury and express my gratitude, in whatever way is best for them." She continued after a brief moment of thought, and she wore a soft smile in my direction, to which I smirked slightly.
"Ahahaha! There he is right there, the young man who reconstructed your soul and saved your life. All of us were basically useless, as much as it pains me to admit it, it is true." Martial Beast Great Emperor roared with laughter.
"Thank you Sir Martial Beast. But I recognized him the moment I saw him. Call it a side effect of the treatment or something like that. But I was able to catch glimpses of him throughout every memory in my past. Though, there is no longer any discomfort and my soul has completely recovered I actually feel stronger than I had been previously." Lan Xun explained wearing a smile on her face.
"That's good, it shouldn't take much longer until the energy I used to repair your soul becomes unneeded. There is no need to worry about it causing you any trouble in the future, and as your soul recovers the lightning that holds it together, will vanish from your soul and knowledge sea." I explained. "As for thanks, there is no need, I unfortunately ended up seeing just about everything from your past up until that very day. Most of this was granted to me via Star Boundary's benevolence. As such I dare not claim all the credit. My lightning is simply the most suitable cure for such injuries, nothing more and nothing less." I added, with a soft sigh.
"But, that means you saw... The man to whom my heart belongs..." Lan Xun said as her eyes widened, realizing that the ultimate form of a woman's gratitude, is something that she could never give to the one who deserved it the most.
"Relax, there is no need to feel uneasy about such things, For I already knew the name of that person before I made the attempt to heal you." I replied slightly casually. "Oh, forgive my casualness, that was careless of me. Hmm, you know, I can see that you are still a bit on the worried side of this issue. Almost like, if you don't show gratitude to your savior then your cultivation will suffer." I added, in a probing tone.
"I... I was too hasty and I swore an oath to express the ultimate form of gratitude to my savior." Lan Xun muttered softly, but loud enough for others to hear.
"AHAHAHA! Is that all? Alright then this is an easy solution. Since I am the one who healed you, if you call me the savior then I get to decide what the ultimate form of gratitude is on my own." I laughed, and then calmed down. "Become one my mothers, and then I will consider the gratitude given and received." I stated clearly.
