Chapter 191 - Repaying A Debt

"Like father, like son. And the mirrors the father. I wonder what it feels like to be in their positions?" Deacon Xia Fei said after Yang Kai disappeared.

"We will only find out when the day comes that we join the Dao Master outside Void World. But we can not rush these things. We can only practice diligently. Even the Young Master will leave this world before us. So let's not compare ourselves to them." Temple Master Tang Wen said, befitting his position.

"Good, then let's begin gathering these materials for the Young Master. If the Dao Master is also aiding his son, it must be an important recipe for the war effort outside." Deacon Xia Fei replied, with a new sense of drive.

"It was such a simple test yet it was enough to expose such a glaring flaw. I have renewed drive to practice as well. Such a glaring flaw could have meant my death on the battlefield. Let us thank the Young Master and start immediately. Begin issuing the quests!" Temple Master Tang Wen said, clenching his fist with confidence and purpose.

~~Thunder Typhoon~~

I appeared on the periphery of the place that aided me greatly in the past. Looking at the sight of a significantly smaller storm it saddened me. "This was a place where unique creatures roamed the depths and provided a powerful contention point for the development of the world's World Force. And now it is so small, barely growing larger in all these years. I really took what the environment provided me." I sighed.

"Don't worry Young Master, it wasn't as if you took it without first asking permission. And besides that, it will one day return to its former glory. A mighty storm that only the strong may endure." Fang Qing consoled, knowing just how sad such a sight was to see even for her.

"I know, however, it would be wrong of me to remain the only one who can benefit from it. The Void World's Disciples will one day come here as well to understand the mysteries of this Mighty Dao for themselves." I said, taking a breath in.

I summoned forth a wealth of power. Using many low rank resources to increase the power to another level. And then… I exhaled a small portion of my breath. Summoning forth a storm that was sent over to the Thunder Typhoon. Being absorbed and thus strengthening the Typhoon significantly. Once the chaos normalized and the Thunder Typhoon had fully made the power its own once more, I exhaled a small amount again. Only slightly more than the first time.

With each exhale the Thunder Typhoon grew more powerful and its former glory slowly returned. Waves crashed and water-tornadoes formed stretching from the sea to the sky. Lightning struck rapidly in all manner of ways. Showing that it was grateful. Once I finished… The Thunder Typhoon looked outstanding once again, even better than it had been before.

"Young Master is amazing! I knew you were here for this but to think it was successful." Fang Qing said in shock.

"Master! Mother is right. With your help the Thunder Typhoon is now almost 10 times stronger than it was previously. Such an improvement will surely last for the infinite future." Shandain praised, looking at the storm with quite a large degree of admiration.

"But was it worth the price you paid, Young Master?" Fang Qing asked, realizing there was a loss. Though it was easily recoverable it would take some resources.

"It would be unfair of me to think of it like that. It is important to pay one's debts. Especially ones that were given with no strings attached and no thoughts of their own self interests. So I won't consider this a loss. Rather a mutually beneficial exchange. Thunder Typhoon aided me when I was weak. And so I lent it a hand in return. With its current level of strength it shouldn't ever disappear no matter how many disciples come up and study my Dao. It will return to this strength in 5 years time even if brought back to where it had been before. Such is the might of Sky. The power of Thunder & Lightning" I said, explaining myself.

The Thunder Typhoon rumbled a happy sound this time. It really did have a small child's level of intellect. Something quite impressive for a storm. I saluted and then flew off into the distance.

At my top speed, I passed by the cities, towns, villages, hamlets, small communities, and even one or two family sized places. This was a chance for me to fly around freely. A chance I have not had since…

"This must be a new feeling for you." Fang Qing giggled.

"It is, and I will enjoy this while I can. For the first time in a long time… no since I was brought to this world I have no need to do anything. Even if I cultivated now, there wouldn't be many gains. And it isn't worth it. I can't refine anymore tokens, and I have no need to do anything else. I was quite surprised that they offered to handle finding the resources for me. That was the only thing I needed to do." I replied with a smile on my face as the wind flew by.

"Your father is searching for the other items too. And your mothers are guiding your wives training in their Small Universes at the moment. Everyone you know is safe, and sound. And your troubles are none for now. It would be a shame if you don't enjoy this time. Who knows when it may happen again." Fang Qing said in a cheerful tone.

"Indeed, I'll need to go and speak with the Army Commanders soon. My presence on the battlefield would have some drastic effects. And unfortunately those have already started to take hold. I'll have to discuss what my purpose will be until I achieve the Open Heaven Realm." I explained.

"I see, that is quite the question to ask. Young Master is an extremely powerful man. But is it worth it to expose you to unnecessary danger like that?" Fang Qing said.

"It's not my danger they would be worried about. Remember every chain is only ever as strong as its weakest link. And no one would expect much from me being an emperor. It could cause subconscious side effects putting me on any team. So my position must be a smart and logical decision." I said, floating an invitation token to Void Temple down into the hands of an interesting child.
