I stared at the lifeless body of the origin king ready to stab my spear through his head. Something made me feel uneasy though. It felt like I was being toyed with. As if something was just waiting for me to divert my attention. Probing with my divine sense I found that there was a remnant left behind of this man's soul. I grabbed hold of it immediately.
"Urgh Argh let me go!" The remnant cried out, and smashed its fists down on the restraints I put on him.
"Ahahaha, you're quite lively for a dead person. Don't worry about being restrained. I'll free you soon enough." I said, as my eyes flashed with lightning.
"You're… You're that dragon race! But… How? You're human?" The origin king panicked. It was one thing to be killed by a dragon. But a mere human boy not even a quarter his own age was simply too difficult to accept. "How could there be such a monster in this world!" He cried out in fear.
"What I am is of no consequence. It's nothing that will help your situation. Though before I let you go I'll tell you something." I said, with a full confident smile.
"Oh! What is this?" The remnant cried out. "The life lamp manager will hear everything for a few moments after my death so anything I can get is priceless information." The remnant thought.
"That one I allowed to get away… I have some… prior dealings with him. I'm the one who killed the other idiot that was with him at that time. Who was it again? Some perv idiot…" I said, holding my chin in thought.
"Junior, it was junior young master Huang. Wait! THAT WAS YOU! YOU'VE KILLED TWO OF OUR SECTS YOUNG MASTERS!! YOU ARE THE MOST DANGEROUS ENEMY OF OUR SECT! I CURSE YOU TO DIE A HORRIBLE DEATH!" The Remnant shouted angrily.
"Eh not worth remembering his name. Besides, you seem quite eager to die. So I'll do this but first let's get some information out of you." I said, performing a soul search on the remnant.
"Die from your own foolishness boy! All of us have.. Wait… RAGH!" He cried out in an agony that could rend one's soul.
In this world there is absolutely no one who can hurt my soul. After all, my father is the master of this world and owns everything in it. After that time I met those commanders, my father put a powerful protection on my Knowledge Sea. So unless the opponent is a 7th rank open heaven… who here could possibly break it.
Once I was done searching his soul for the information I had been looking for. I refined what was left of his soul into pure energy and used it to heal myself. Thunderbird came down after seeing that I had successfully destroyed the bandits.
"Young master, why did you let that other one get away? With your strength it wouldn't have been difficult for you to kill him directly too." Fang Qing asked.
"Oh oh! Me too, me too. I want to know as well, master!" Shandain said, bouncing up and down. Her fists were on her cheeks after a little and made the cutest face ever.
"It's simple. Once that one returns to his sect… Well… let's say that I'm giving their sect a gift of a… shocking experience." I said with a purposeful smile.
"Young master is fierce! They won't know anything about it until it's too late. Not bad." Fang Qing said, petting Shandain's sparkling face.
"Master is going to make that pitiful man turn into sparkling fireworks! I bet it will be a beautiful end! I wish we could see it." Shandain pouted slightly. She really liked fun things like fireworks.
"It's a good thing that when the time comes we will be able to see it. So don't worry about this matter for now. Master will make sure to treat you well." I said, passing a wave over her to give her some comfort.
"Now then. Let's free these captives." I said, stretching to the sky.
"Indeed, these poor creatures have suffered a great deal. I'm sure they will follow you from now on. After all, a dragon is the top of the monster race. None are equal." Fang Qing said.
"En…" I nodded as I walked over to the carriage that the young master I crushed earlier had kicked. There were definitely monster races in this cage. I'm preparing myself for what I'm about to see. Though I don't think I'm ready. It was one thing to rip apart the enemy. They deserved it. However, what they had to do to deserve it was not small. So I could only hope that there wasn't anything too crazy.
Thunderbird perched itself on my shoulder and nuzzled my head, as if it knew what I was thinking about. This monster beast is quite affectionate and very brave. I'm glad it decided to stay with me. It even trusted me with its life. It believed in me. Now there is an invincible and unbreakable bond of trust formed between the two of us. I am the master and it is the subordinate.
I grabbed the cloth covering the cage and gulped. Tearing the cover off into shreds in an instant. My eyes were filled with a hateful sight. My aura exploded.
"HATEFUL BANDITS! They deserved a death far worse than what I gave them. This is beyond hateful. People like that should perish with extreme prejudice." I cursed in my breath.
"Young master! These bandits are evil through and through. This is simply too hateful a sight." Fang Qing said as her own power became just as angry as my own anger.
"Sir… saved… us?" a pathetically weak looking woman with a few tails asked, incredibly weakly.
"I have not done enough yet. Your lives are all in danger. I'll first send you some of my own energy to heal. For now this is all I can muster." I said with a heavy heart.
"The… others?" The woman asked, pointing to the other several carriages. "The… covered are… like… us… sir…" The woman said with great difficulty.
