Chapter 46 - Marriage Tribulation

The change I noticed was nothing bad. Rather it was something quite good. A rare occurrence indeed. It was Senior Brother Xiang and Senior Sister Xun. My other Senior Disciples were unable to sense the changes. Though their perceptions aren't bad this was something only I could sense. Likely due to the connection I have with the Thunder Temple. Seeing that I had a pleasant look come across my face the others couldn't help but be curious.

"Junior Brother Wang, is there something on your mind?" Senior Sister Xue asked excitedly.

"Oh are you planning on hunting the large number of thunder beasts around here? Us seniors will accompany you!" Senior Brother Ming said, with an obvious obsession for the wealth that comes after.

"Brother Ming, is just an idiot only he only knows how to talk. So Junior brother doesn't need to speak with him about this matter. Instead tell this Senior Sister." Senior Sister Xia said, smiling in my face.

If she had been much closer we would have shared a kiss. Nothing intense, it would have been just a quick little peck. It was clear that she either was hoping for this or just wanted to tease her Junior Brother, me. In the end she didn't follow through with a kiss. I breathed a sigh of relief in my heart. It wasn't that she wasn't pretty or anything. No, but, I knew my father would most definitely not approve of such a thing.

"Seniors Brothers and Senior Sisters are too serious. It's nothing to be worried about. But you should be prepared to pay close attention in this next moment. This will be quite a good thing for you in the future." I said, then pointed to the couples cultivation room. "Look in that direction and investigate." I added.

The Senior Brothers and Sisters, that had good control over their divine sense, began probing the area. They were investigating what I had mentioned, trying to figure it out for themselves. Senior Sister Xue's eyes widened as she seemed to notice something. She turned and looked at me then gained.

"Junior Brother means the phenomenon that Senior Brother Xiang and Senior Sister Xun will soon undergo?" Senior Sister Xuesaid, asking if this was indeed correct.

"Indeed, Senior Brother Xiang and Senior Sister Xun will soon begin their breakthrough to the Saint Realm. So the Senior Brother and Senior Sisters should pay close attention. Of course, I will as well." I nodded in the affirmative.

"That bully will get what's coming to him!" The younger Senior Brother's cheered joyfully.

A short time later the storm began and we could all see the two Senior Disciples floating in the air as if they were a pair of birds staying close to each other. Their cultivation would circulate inside their bodies and even occasionally some of their Qi would transfer to the other. Crossing the rather small distance between them. Though each time this happened their Qi's would also bear the strength of the heavenly tribulation causing them to have a bit of discomfort as they cultivated.

However, they had to do this, otherwise the heavenly tribulation would likely kill them. This was not a regular tribulation. This was one that would promote the two at the same time. This was akin to the heavens recognizing their union as husband and wife. The two of them were indeed close as such before this seclusion. After it though. They could almost be said to be one whole. Each being a half of that whole.

Naturally this meant that the strength of the power they had to bear would be too much for either of them to handle alone. As such they could only rely on each other. Becoming closer with each and every strike.

3 days had passed when this tribulation finally finished refining Senior Brother Xiang and Senior Sister Xun's bodies. Each now gave off the powerful suppressive aura of a saint Realm Cultivator. The pair opened their eyes and flew down to see their Junior Brothers and Sisters.

"Congratulations to Senior Brother Xiang on his breakthrough to the Saint Realm. Congratulations to Senior Sister Xun on her breakthrough to the Saint Realm." All of us gathered and said, cupping our hands together and bowed, congratulating the two Senior Disciples.

"Congratulations on Senior Brother Xiang and Senior Sister Xun's marriage. May you both find greatness and love along the Martial Dao and with each other." I continued saying.

"Junior Brother Wang, you know how to embarrass this Senior Brother in front of his Juniors." Senior Brother Xiang said as his face flushed a deep red.

Senior Sister Xun played along with this and clung onto Senior Brother Xiang tightly. Pressing up on him and blowing in his ear. Even though it seemed like Senior Brother Xiang was embarrassed he was clearly enjoying this.

"Tehe, I guess I call you Husband now can't I, Husband?"Senior Sister Xun said, smiling with a clearly happy smile.

"Of course you can call this Xiang your Husband. After all, am I not this?" Senior Brother Xiang said, turning to face Senior Sister Xun.

The two of them were clearly quite a great deal into the other. It was a good thing to see. Love breeds new life and with this new life brings more hope for the future. Who could say how much hope this brought in the world only time could tell. Because only with the passage of time will all truths be revealed. Only with the passage of time will true growth take place. Only with the passing of time would all wounds heal.

In that moment it felt like I gained a small grasp of something truly great. Something I couldn't fully understand. Though I had a vague feeling that this would be of great benefit to me in the ffuture.it was enough now though. I had to do a few things. And now that my Senior Brother and Senior Sister were Saint Realm Cultivators now, They would have to leave this Mountain Forest.

"Senior Brothers and Sisters, with the promotions of Senior Brother Xiang and Senior Sister Xun, we should vacate the Mountain Forest. This Junior must go and pay a visit back to Purple Phoenix Palace. As such this Junior Brother would like to accompany you all back to the Purple Phoenix Palace." I said, knowing that it was wrong to remain here any longer.
